Page Designer - Command - cannot write condition for Enabled field

Just checking in our internal 23R2.4 environment, you should be able to switch to a condition input for the Enabled field of the Print Invoice command.

Condition Field

As far as I am concerned the Editable option for a field only takes true or false in Page Designer. There are a few approaches.Use 2 different contexts, one that allows editing of the field and the other doesn’t. Might be overkill as you have 2 contexts to maintain with the obvious difference being the editable field. Use a custom event triggered on insert and update of that specific field, and have a workflow or plsql code to raise an error based on the logged in user.

What does Default to Previous control in Page Designer.

Take Master Part as a simple example, I have set the Part Main Group as Default to Previous against the global context. I create a new part record whereby I define the Part Main Group as 2, and hit save.The next time I create a new part record it will automatically default the Part Main Group to the last saved value that was used, which in this case is 2.

Right to Clear Mapping Cache

By default, an end user does not have access to the Clear Mappings Cache, even with the fundamental permission set of FND_WEBENDUSER_MAIN. I think Clear Mappings Cache is handled by the projection CustomPagesHandling.

Page Designer Permission

I think Page Designer is driven by the permission set CUSTOM_OBJECTS_ADMIN which is in the grant structure of the FND_ADMIN permission set. Depending on what else you need to do in IFS Cloud, the FND_ADMIN permission set will essentially open up Solution Manager to your user, making you an application administrator.

Setting Lobby Browse and Edit Permissions

By default an IFS user should not be able to access and edit the data source designer and element designer for a lobby page. The user can only make very minor cosmetic changes and add simple personal elements (text and links). If the user does have access to edit data sources and elements, I would suggest reviewing the permission set and revoking the necessary grants.

How do I force UPPERCASE in Data Migration type MIGRATE_SOURCE_DATA

The Source Column in Source Mapping can handle SQL commands, so in your case you can just use UPPER(CF$_BRANDPARTNO) in the Source Column.

Remove Deployment of BPA Workflow

FYI, I believe in 22R2 there is an “Undeploy” command that will basically allow you to ultimately remove the entire workflow.Not helpful for you now in 22R1, I know, not sure if there is a back office workaround either.

connecting a quick report using the _REP object for the end user

The views which this C_SHOP_ORD_LABEL_REP uses, are you certain that those views don’t have any where clauses?! Typically if the SQL quick report runs but the user does not see any data is due to functional restrictions like site, company, project access to name but a few.

Information Message Aurena on Event Action

As far as I am concerned a warning message which is typically a Yes/No or OK/Cancel message cannot be achieved by calling Client_SYS.Add_Warning via any configuration, whether that is in EE or Aurena. The client framework simply does not process this message. If anyone ever got this to work with configuration, I am all ears. To invoke an information message, which is just an OK message, the method to use is Client_SYS.Add_Info. This method still works in EE or Aurena but you have to be careful where and how this method is invoked in the configuration because the result is not always guaranteed i.e. for PLSQL custom events as part of the standard insert and update flow this still works. Below is a custom event example invoking Client_SYS.Add_Info method.Custom EventCustom Event ActionOutcome

Changing the default page context in Cloud

Here are the steps I followed.Created a new Page Designer context and made a simple label change to currency code. In Configuration Context Mappings, I set the Condition company to be my default company i.e. COMPANY=50. Clear Mappings Cache against my User option and refresh the browser. Go to Currency Codes page, I can see the label change against currency code.Switch to another company.

Custom Field Help: Address Line 1

You could create a read-only custom field that utilises an expression or select statement. The only thing for you to consider is how to handle locations with multiple addresses?! Utilising the methods in Location_Party_Address_API seems quite straightforward but you need to know the address_info_id as it is part of the key. The identity_ argument can be NULL.Address Line 1Location_Party_Address_API.Get_Primary_Cust_Address1(location_id_, address_info_id_, identity_)Post CodeLocation_Party_Address_API.Get_Primary_Cust_Zip_Code(location_id_, address_info_id_, identity_) Alternatively, you could write a select statement querying location_party_address using just location id and returning the first record (rownum=1) if you assume that you only ever have one address against the location.

Add an static PDF to Quotations Report

This can be achieved by using a combination of PDF Inserts to store the Terms & Conditions and building the appropriate Report Rule to append the pdf at the end of the report for example. Report PDF Inserts Report Rule
