Hi everyone,Current IFS version: IFS apps 9 EETarget IFS version: IFS cloud 23R2 (hosted on prem by us) Today in IFS9 we have several applications (built by us) that are connecting to our database directly to “interface” with IFS. We have several oracle users that handle these connections, created as IFS fnd users. These users are granted access to the database API package methods via permission sets, and are set as inactive in the IFS application as they never actually log into the app and the oracle user handles everything.Example: User logs into non-IFS app and enters information about a purchase order. That application connects to the database hosting IFS as an appropriate oracle user, calls {app_owner}.purchase_order_api.new and creates the purchase order. We are in the process of upgrading to IFS cloud. Hi everyone, This question is in regards to IFS cloud 23R2We can export custom event headers as .ins files Event header export commandThe event action on the other hand doesn’t appear to have any export option other than adding to a configuration package.Can anyone confirm if there is any way to export event actions as .ins files? Coming from IFS 9 we would often use sqlplus to handle deploying events and actions and would like to continue that process if possible. Hi everyone, Recently we upgraded our test system from IFS cloud version 22R2 to 23R2. We are noticing an issue around the EquipmentObject entity. Errors on the Equipment Object Navigator and Explore Equipment Objects forms. ODP_ILLEGAL_STATE: (Server Error) Unable to fulfill the request due to unexpected server state. Unable to fulfill the request due to unexpected server state. The above is the error being seen when navigating to these forms Additional error detail Using the ifs developer studio, I tried to redeploy the EquipmentObjectNavigatorHandling projection file. I simply get the following error message: Even attempting to deploy another entity that has a dependency to EquipmentObject we see that error. The model file clearly exists Notes / Things tried:Reconfigured / restarted middle tier server There are no custom attributes applied against the EquipmentObject entity Any help or other things to try would be appreciated. Hi all, Using the developer studio I’ve created a customization to add a column to a projection. When saving a record in the form I need the projection action to pass the value of this new column for processing in a database package. This all works fine when I set the attribute in the entity details to type Text. However I would like this to be a check box, passing either TRUE or FALSE to avoid users having to type in true or false themselves. desired check box When I attempt to use the attribute type Boolean(“TRUE”, “FALSE”) as I have seen in some core implementations, after deploying the change I always receive an “Error While de-serializing contents error when saving a record. Hi everyone, I’m trying to modify a projection file (ExampleHandling-Cust.projection). An entity action. When working in the IFS developer studio the action will have an error that the action is not implemented. entity action with code analysis errorWhen I look at the projection core layer files (22R2 core files downloaded from build place), even these have this error for entity actions. Is there a way to tell the static code analyzer to skip this validation? Due to this error being categorized as a priority2 issue, it will not allow me to deploy the change. Hello everyone, The following is occurring in IFS cloud 22R2. We have noticed that when certain users log in images fail to load and they receive a “No access” warning message. Interestingly enough it only occurs when the user logs in with certain user IDs, but this isn’t the case for all users. Example:Person/PC 1 logs in as userID TESTUSER1, they can see the imagesPerson/PC 1 logs in as userID TESTUSER2, they can see the images Person/PC 2 logs in as userID TESTUSER1, they can see the imagesPerson/PC2 logs in as userID TESTUSER2, they can not see the imagesError message: Things we have tried:refreshing the users browser cache refreshing the application resource cache clearing the mapping cacheAny suggestions on rectifying this issue would be appreciated. Hi everyone, For context, I’m trying to use a projections custom action to call a package procedure, passing in values on the page. This Package procedure is from a package I created, not IFS standard Based on what is seen in the documentation for a procedure to be eligible, my procedure should satisfy the requirements (see below). My method is to be called Test_Package.test_proc test_proc is a procedure with no parameters In the Custom Actions section of the Page Configuration screen we can select a PL/SQL method.clicking on the “find” option for PL/SQL method we get a list of available methods to be used. What needs to be done in order for my created package procedure to show up here? How is this list generated?Currently, my package procedure as well as the hundreds of other packages we have created that exist in our database aren’t appearing in this list. thankyou,Lavon
IFS APPS 9Hi everyone,Is there any way to find what a text box on an IFS Form is linked to in the database? For an easy example, on the purchase order screen the site text field is tied to the contract column in the purchase_order_tab table. Is there a way to quickly figure that out if you didn’t already know? The previous methods I have used to figure this out was byTrial and error (change value in form and see what has changed in the database) Debug console to see activity going on entering search parameters and then viewing the advanced window to see the actual field nameThere has to be a better, faster solution than these. In the system info window we can see the “Object Relations”. Could these somehow be the key to this information? If so where can I find more information on how these “children” are related to the database views / tables? Thanks,Lavon
Hi Everyone. The following is in regards to IFS APPS 9 Recently to support load balancing we modified the web server Configuration for our instances to use custom Client Access URLs. The following is the applicable IFS installer screen for the reconfiguration:On the SSL Configuration screen of the installer, we were previously using the Enable SSL option, but now with SSL offloading the custom client access url is handling this. This is working except ever since reconfiguring in this way the IFS application streams display the following error message.Does anyone have any idea why this might be causing this issue? Is there something else that must be reconfigured to get the fnd streams to work? Let me know if there is any other information I can provide Thanks!LAvon
Hi everyone. This is in regards to IFS 9. Right now when I have been applying deliveries or performing reconfigurations on IFS instances, whenever there is an error that results in the IFS instance becoming unusable I have been taking a snapshot of the server the instance is running on before hand and then rolling back to that state. I’m noticing some issues when I do it like this however:Sometimes this causes an issue where wls diagnostic files keep being generated and not deleted. This causes all the space on the drive to be filled and the instance eventually stops working until all the diagnostic files are deleted and the as server is stopped and restarted. Reconfigurations no longer work properly. When I perform a reconfiguration it has errors. The instance still works afterwards, but the node managers no longer seem to function properly. As mentioned above, the node managers stop working properly. For example, running the administration script “stop_http_server” or “start_http_ser
Hi Everyone I’m trying to install a weblogic delivery and getting a recurring error message. This is on IFS Apps 9.Client version 9.0.60.0 Server version 6.90.21.0. I am getting a “failed executing build target” error. whenever the installer gets to the “installing middleware server message” After checking the pre-installer.log files, I find this notable error message:ORI’ve tried this installation a couple times on different test instances, and get this error on different files as can be seen above. I initially thought this might be a permissions issue, but after checking permissions on the folders running the installer as admin should be granting full access to files and folders. I’ve found online that the java.io.filenotFoundException can be generated when a file is in use and trying to be written to. Do any services need to be stopped in order to apply this delivery? I ran the stop all servers administration script prior to executing, but this doesn’t seem to be enough. Thanks!Lav
Hi Everyone,Using IFS apps 9When printing a purchase order (changes, work copy, etc) and choosing the email option there is a default email message that is sent out saying that the archived PDF file is ready.I’d like to eithersuppress this email and create a custom email event action with my own defined message, subject, etc. OR Modify this emails subject. message, etcRight now when I create a custom event action using the PDF_REPORT_CREATED event, I’m able to generate my own custom defined email, but I’m simultaneously receiving this predefined email as well. Hi Community,This is for IFS 9 Enterprise Explorer Currently on the manual supplier invoice screen, when copying unmatched PO receipts from a referenced PO, users are able to manually override a tolerance check while matching PO receipts per line (please see the attached image). We would like to disable this functionality, and abort the process once the tolerance has been exceeded. We don’t want the user to be able to save the supplier invoice at all once the tolerance has been exceeded. Is there any way to anyones knowledge that we can accomplish this? We were considering creating a custom event to check the tolerance again at the time of the manual supplier invoice creation, but if we could do something at the point this pop up appears that would be preferable. Any other suggestions to solve this issue are also welcome. Thank you
