Hi!Is there a way to pass a value into a client script that’s called with the executeScript() function with the Smart Client?I’d like to use a script like a function. Pass a value in and get a result out.The last time I tried this I used a non-database field on the screen to store a value. The downside to this was the client would ask the user to save when the value changes even though “In Database” was unchecked for the field in custom metadata.Thanks,
Hi!We’re running FSM 6.5 and recently moved our FSM installation to a new server. Our production environment is up and working fine, but we’re having an issue with our dev environment.In Dev, when opening any request I get the error “Unrecognized business object 'Payment'”Dev is an exact copy of prod so I’m not sure why this is happening. The request screen in both environments does reference the Payment table. And the table exists in both DB’s & FSM metadata.The only thing that I know IT did differently on the new server is they updated the web.config file so I can now select Prod or Dev from the dropdown on the login screen. Previously I had two separate clients. Could it be related to that?Any help is appreciated.Thanks!
We have a single user who is getting an error every time he tries to print any client report. The error details say the report contains hyper links but the EnableHyperLinks property has not been set for this report. We have hundreds of other users printing the exact same reports without receiving this error.I’d rather figure out what’s causing this issue for him instead of having to edit every single client report.Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
Hello,I’m trying to create a lobby tile with a scripted data source. (FSM 6.5)My Client Script SQL and Client script are both working. I can preview my data source from the data source designer screen and see the result from my script. The script is returning a single number and appears to be in a column named “return”.I’m struggling to get the number returned from the data source to be displayed in the actual element tile. There is just a big X where the number should be.Since this is my first scripted lobby tile I must be missing a step somewhere. Anyone know what it could be? Thanks!
Does anyone know why we can only sort lists by certain columns when clicking the column header?We would like the ability to sort the schedule board task list by city, but clicking the city column header doesn’t sort the list. Clicking other columns on the same screen such as “Description” will sort the list.
I’m trying to write a client script to be used in the smart client of FSM 6.5.In my Client Script SQL I’m returning two columns.exp_date: Date saved in the DB days_left: Using DATEDIFF(day, GETDATE(), exp_date) AS days_leftWhen I access these values from my script, days_left is set to type System.String and I need it to be an integer.I have tried changing the SQL to:CAST(DATEDIFF(day, GETDATE(), exp_date) AS int) AS days_leftbut in my script the variable is still a string so I’m unable compare the value with an integer.Example: if (days_left <= 0) { doesn’t work. What determines which tables I can add fields from for a mobile screen?For Example: I’d like to add a field from the Part table to the job list screen, but part is not a table I can add fields from on that screen. My choices are Address, Contact, Place, Product, Request and Task.I should be able to link to the part table from the product table with Product.Part_ID = Part.Part_ID Thanks.
I often need to make minor changes to a baseline client report. If I have never edited the report before I have been adding the report to the reports admin screen as a new report and then re-creating all the parameters and datasets manually. Is there an easier way to make a baseline report show up on the reports admin screen so that I can make minor tweaks to the SQL or add parameters?Thanks!
Hi,I have a notification email that’s being sent out when a part need is created for certain parts. I would like the person who created the part need to be CC’ed on this email.The notification message is triggered by a request event and the person I’d like included on the email is the request event creator. I’m not sure how to use request_event.created_by in the distribution list.Another problem is I’ve been trying to create substitution maps to get the persons emails address with different methods. For some reason the ones I create don’t show up in the “Wild card member” drop down on the distribution list screen. I don’t see any differences it my substitution maps and the ones that do show up in the drop down.Currently I can use request.event.created_by or I’ve also stuffed the part_need.sequence into the request_event.user_def2 to have a link back to the part need where I could use part_need.created_byAny suggestions appreciated.
Is there any documentation about how to use XML_MESSAGE, VALIDATION_XML_MESSAGE, VALID_IF_FOUND and ALTERNATE_XML_MESSAGE?I have written some simple rules using only XML_MESSAGE, but If I wanted to use the other fields how do they work. My First question would be Does the VALIDATION XML run before or after XML MESSAGE?When does the ALTERNATE XML run?How do I use VALID_IF_FOUND? I’m Working in FSM 6.5Thanks!
Hello,Is there a way to specify a default filename when printing client reports? (FSM 6.5)When we use the print button we see a preview of the PDF version of the report and the default file name will be something like: REQUESTS_SERV_67c439a7-e9fc-413d-8d4c-44879a55ff4e.pdfI’d like to change that name, or at least remove all the extra stuff so we get REQUESTS_SERV.pdf to match the rdlc file name. Ideally we could append the request ID, or some other useful value. Is this possible? Thanks!
Hello,I’m trying to get a client script to run on the request screen once the data has been loaded. (FSM 6.5 Smart Client). I have a simple script with just alert(‘Test’);. I’ve linked it to different screen events but it never seems to run. I noticed that all the other baseline scripts linked to the screen are for the web client. Is it possible to do this with the smart client?Just in case there’s a better way to accomplish my goal, here is what I’m trying to do…I have a YorN check box on the task screen linked to TASK.USER_DEF1. I also have a checkbox on the request screen which I want to be checked if any of that request’s tasks have it’s box checked..Thanks!
Hello, Our techs have been entering request notes through the mobile app and we’d like to change the design so that their notes are saved at the task level.I’m trying to add the screen named DebriefTaskTextFeed to the Debrief workflow but don’t see a way to do that.There are many screens that are unchecked (not used) in the debrief workflow, but DebriefTaskTextFeed isn’t in the list. How can I add this screen to the debrief workflow?
Hello,I’ve edited the Service Contract client report and added a Version parameter because when we use the Print button in the Smart Client it will include all versions of the contract and not just the one we’re looking at.If I run the report from the Reports screen everything comes out as expected. If a Version was specified it only shows the one version in the report, otherwise it will include all versions.Now I’m just trying to figure out how to configure the print button in the UI Designer to pass contract.contract_version as a parameter along with contract.contract_id to generate the report.Any suggestions?Thanks!
Hello,Are there any script functions for working with dates and times?I’d like to work with the date and time as an integer so I can get the difference in hours between two date variables. I can do Date1 - Date2 but the result is another date. I’m just wanting the hours. Something like JavaScripts Date.getTime() would be very helpful.
