Hi All, Is anyone familiar with the requirements in the subject field in relation to German companies? I am wondering how to make our Apps 9 compliant with these requirements. Third party software is being pushed as a solution but we’d like to avoid this if possible and even customize IFS where possible to build a solution. I know that some of the above requirements are process related but don’t have a clear understanding of the technical requirements.Best RegardsJohn

Intercompany Orders - Changes to Orders

Hi,Is it possible to make a change to an intercompany customer order without raising a new PO? Here is a scenario we are encountering. Company ”A” raises a customer order for their external customer, but the supplier is an sister company within the same group, named Company B. Company ”A” sets up the supply for the order to be fulfilled by Company B. All lines supply as set as Company B, supply code is Internal Purchase Transit.Customer Order is released. PO is created for the parts to Company B. After a couple of days Company ”A” realizes that a mistake has being made on one of the CO lines and needs to cancel one line and add in ”A” new line with the correct part now added to the CO. This generates ”A” new PO for the newly added part for Company B. Is there any way to keep the newly added part on the existing PO from Company ”A” to Company B? Our procurement have a preference for this requirement?

IFS Messaging Handling System - Intercompany Order processing

Hi,Looking for some knowledge and or experience with this area of IFS and intercompany order processingOur colleagues in a sister company sent IFS order confirmations via messaging for 2 no PO’s nos. P108324 & P108325.(see attached)However, both PO Lines are showing as Released (NOT confirmed) in IFS which seems incorrect. Can anyone advise why the POs are only showing as released and not confirmed? Is this an IFS bug? We are using Apps 9. RegardsJohn

Inter site Error Message

Hi Does anyone recognise the error message (shown below) on the inter site incoming customer order(see screen shot below)? If so what is the cause of this error message? We have tried to process in inter site order with and without with single occurrence box checked. Example 2 (Single Occurrence not even ticked)

Unit Conversion Imperial / Metric

Hi All, We are mid way through a company by company implementation, which has being focused on European countries(where units of measurement are metric). Our next implementation will be in a USA located manufacturing company where the units of measurement are imperial. Ideally we like to use the same tech classes across the group of companies but we are unsure as to how we could do this in IFS if at all. We use UoM’s in our tech class’s as well as in the part basic data screens. We are investigating if there is a tool in the system(Apps 9) that we can use that will process the conversions for us. We would like to be able to use the same data that is already in the tech class/part basic data area’s of the system in our US facility. We are looking at the Unit Relationships screen as a possible tool to use, but have not yet explored its functionality. See below screen grab Is anyone familiar with this tool and how to use it? Technical Class - Imperial / Metric

Cancellation Costs - Intercompany

Hi All,could do with guidance on the recommended procedures for paying cancelling costs and adding freight cost to intercompany orders using IFS messaging. Supplier Setup

Hi, It seems that IFS is set up more for global purchasing where supplier settings (Buyers, Delivery & Order confirmation reminders, etc.) apply to the group and cannot be set differently for different sites if the same supplier ID is used. Often sites in our business have slightly different approaches to managing and expediting suppliers, and site buyers want the autonomy to apply their own settings for suppliers. I am reaching out to see if anyone has experience, thoughts or suggestions on how this should be resolved? Thanks in advance.

Export Gnatt Chart

Hi I would like to export the project gnatt chart from IFS Apps 9 into Microsoft excel and modify certain details in this chart before sending to a customer. I have downloaded the add on’s from the add on screen in IFS but I am unsure of the next steps. Can anyone provide further information? ThanksJohn

Hi Attached is an example of unexpected results in apb.Shop order 903 is the parent shop order 1000 Disc and spindle is the child wanted for operation 10 of 903Both parts are finiteResult from APB puts shop order 903 finish date ahead 1000, This is a physical impossibilityWhat do we need to do to make sure the parent SO uses the child part for its planning?Thanks

Supplier Concession Request

I am just wondering if there is anything in IFS for handling a concession request from a supplier? I’ll give a typical example, supplier A says they machined quantity 1 of 3 components 0.05 mm too small and ask us can we accept. We review and say yes. We need to document this concession IFS so when the component arrives, the inspector is aware of the concession. If the inspector is not aware of it, he will only create a MRB unnecessarily.

Transfer stock

Hi,We recently went live. I have a problem with a part, the UOM was set up incorrectly. This part is currently in stock, and has being transacted. I need to:create a new part with the correct UOM transfer the inventory from the incorrectly created part to the new part and finally deal with the incorrectly created part, i.e. make it obsolete or phase out, what ever the correct process is. What I need is a clear process to do this. Can anyone help?
