As a customer I am unable to access wis.ifsworld.com, which is the place where I should be able to see minimum and/or recommended platform specs for running the Aurena client. Fundamentally, I’m looking to identify specs for low-end tablets that would work well enough to be functional IFS Aurena clients. Can anyone either provide an alternative location to find this information or provide it directly here? Any specific recommendations for cheap but viable tablets would also be appreciated if anyone has implemented any. Thanks, Nick
I would like to know which application (form) is actual started by a user. Security is all arranged by permission set, but it doesn't necessarily means that the program's in the permission sets are actually used Is there a way to activate/facilitate logging somewhere in IFS or via PLSQL? This will help me analysing which application is used by which user and in which frequency.
The customer has moved from Apps8 to Apps10 recently and they use SSO for logging in. They have a request to reduce number mouse clicks for logging in. He states as below, First click on the click once link Second click to download and Run Third click to select the account to log in But if they have a shortcut to the Application, then it is working a bit weirdly. So they are asking if they can optimize the number of mouse clicks before logging in. Is it a possible task? In Apps10 doesnt it have the 2.0 and IsolatedStorage cache in the machine? I tried internally it always ask to download the Application.
Hello All, Can anyone advise how we could control access to the report archive screen/data by site / company? At present any user can print/view any report from report archive screen regardless of this access, this is posing a potential security threat as our organisation is made up of multiple companies. We’ve tried revoking access to report archive activity, however that meant the user could not print any reports as a result. Please advise.
We have purchased the SSRS module for Apps10. We have not been able to get it installed correctly. Unfortunately, the documentation in IFS help is for Apps9 and it is different. Does anyone have current Apps10 technical documentation for Apps10? We are on UPD2 planning to update to UPD6.
Hi! Have any one have any input how to solve automated user creation? I know there's is the AD sync, but haven't tried this yet, how is for example the HR Module solved? Thinking of when users move between departments or roles, also if there are any input on the Maintenance side work order reassignment? We are in the O&G and offshore personnel are changing position very often. All this in Apps10/Karl
Is there a way to produce a list of current IFS Users as well as disabled accounts showing when the accounts were created and disabled? This is a SOX evidence requirement for our auditors.FND_USER doesn't hold any such dates; it just lists whether account is active or inactive. We use Single Sign-on, so no Oracle database accounts will be associated.Any ideas or suggestions
Does the IFS client (we are Apps 9) use the JAVA runtime (JRE) environment? If so are we required to license it? This question has come up with the announcement of the JRE licensing requirements that were announced earlier this year.
