Sorry I have answered a completely different problem. The camera option is allowed on Aurena Native apps such as IFS MWO Service 10 to attach images to Work Tasks etc. (as shown in the screenshot). I’m unable to provide any input on the Aurena web client on the browser as I’m unfamiliar with how it works.@Martin Abrahamsson appreciate if you have any input on this regarding the web client, or are able to point to someone in the team.
Hi,This is because we use 3rd party functionality for camera barcode scanning (ZXing by default, Scandit if the the user has a valid license for it). These have only been implemented on Android and iOS due to the availability at that time. Unless there’s a suitable version of ZXing/Scandit that supports Windows platform and IFS integrates it to MWO, it will not be possible to scan barcodes using camera on Windows devices. It’s not available on the IFS Cloud mobile apps either.Thanks and best regards,Binesh
The Native apps for both Apps 10 and IFS Cloud are backwards compatible. Therefore, the latest version of IFS MWO Maintenance/Service on an app store will work with older versions of IFS Applications/Cloud.The Android/iOS/Windows stores will only contain the latest versions and those are the recommended channels to download/update these apps.
The error “Server is no longer available at this address. Please contact administrator.” is shown from the client apps when a server call returns HTTP 301 (Moved) or HTTP 302 (Redirect) error code. The server-side network configuration must be checked to see why this error code is given.
Hi Filip,The parallel development article is located within the “Aurena Native Development” section so it was not specifically marked as for native development.Generally, Aurena Native projections are smaller with less dependencies as they are for mobile apps.If it was an Aurena Native app which was deployed with this setting enabled, then it can be deleted all at once from the Applications page. I will follow up with the document owners.Parallel development is only used in Aurena Native development and it's not valid for normal Aurena development. In Aurena Native, the HTTP calls are being made from the native apps, rather than from a web browser.At IFS, during the development stage, multiple developers work on the same files in parallel and deploy to internal environments quite frequently for testing. This is not something we have anticipated to happen in customer environments where it's very rare for development to happen in the CORE layer. For customizations and other developments, it's possible to continue without having to use this feature.As mentioned in the Feature Toggles dialog, these functionalities "activate experimental code for testing purposes".Thanks and best regards,Binesh
Hi Filip,This is a functionality used mainly for development purposes within IFS. It exists in Cloud too but I would like to clarify the below points on why you may not be able to use it externally.Please note that the docs.ifs.com web site also contains developer documentation targeting IFS-internal developers.IFSAPP_FULL is a permission set available in IFS internal environments (app owner who has everything granted). This may exist with other names in other environments outside of IFS, but normally it’s not granted to developers or end users. It’s not possible to connect to the unique app (such as yourname_ServiceEngApp) from any of the apps available in the stores. There’s a different development app which is not distributed outside IFS, which is used to connect to these apps.Hope this answers your question.Thanks and best regards,Binesh

I tested with the My Work → <pick any task> → Work Type fieldEven after initialization, I was able to see both the favorite and recently used items that I’ve had before. So any disappearance is not the intended behavior.Note that I chose to initialize from going to Sync Monitor → select Initialize from the top right hand side menu (3-dot icon).
There’s currently no way to set the camera sensitivity by the user. The barcode scanning feature is provided by a third-party solution which can either be ZXing (default) or Scandit (needs license). For iPhone and iPad, the mobile framework uses a mode optimized for speed and no initial delay.
Hi,These favourite items are stored in user profile when the user adds/removes them. There’s no normal reason for them to disappear even after an initialization as they are synced to the server. I have done a quick test and it worked as expected.We hide the “recently used” items, however, if such item is also in Favorites, to minimize duplicates being shown.Thanks and best regards,/Binesh
Hi,In the Apps 10 Aurena Native framework, there is a functionality to check for disconnected media items and delete them periodically (every 30 minutes). However, I investigated the code and found out that the framework currently only supports this for LUs that have media prefetch turned off (this setting is defined by MWO app developers).This means that if work tasks have media prefetch enabled, then returning them to the back office won’t delete the media items even though the work task records are deleted from the device.Thanks and best regards,Binesh
Hi,There’s no option to clear logs or limit them at the moment. On iOS you will have to reinstall the app and on Android, you can clear app data to reset the logs.If it’s iOS, is it possible to try iCloud uploading instead of emails (using Save to Files option on iOS)?
In the same page/window Sampath mentioned (Installed Apps/Devices), there are two columns for Push Enabled and Push Valid To. If the first one isn’t ticked and the second one doesn’t show a date, then there’s some issue with push registration for that device. If the customer has firewall or other security measures blocking our Middleware Server with Microsoft Azure, then these registrations may fail. If the registration seems correct (both columns have values), then you can try sending a test notification for that device using the right-click menu → Send Notification.
What is the version of Time Tracker enabled in the TAS server? There must be a permission grant script (example from version 1.4.0 is attached). Yes, Company_Person_API.Is_Emp_Active_Period is required to be present in the system as this is used by the app to determine the Employee Number. If this isn’t available, then it’s an issue with the PERSON component.
Hi, There are currently no iOS emulators/simulators for Windows and due to the fact that Apple does not want to distribute their software source with other parties, it’s not very likely that this will be available in the future too. We are using Apple Mac devices to run the simulator that comes with Xcode. And for things like push notifications and attempting to work offline, we can’t use a simulator so we use actual devices. /Binesh
