Zoom In option in a Business Report on a custom IAL information source

This should be possible and Zoom In can be performed on measure items.In the Information Source definition, you need to specify for which display items it should be possible to perform a Zoom In.However, if you remove the information source to do any modifications in the QIS, you need to specify the zoom in related changes again in the Information Source.

Business Analytics - Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Similar scenario handled from Patch 154120 for reports that are having multivalue parameters. Is the report having multivalue parameters?If so BA client version 4.0.23 or above might solve the issue.

Visualization View is Missing

Manufacturing Visualizer is available in Inventory Part Availability Planning window for APP10. Since this is available in other windows like Shop Order, DOP etc and not available only in Inventory Part Availability Planning this could be an environment specific issue. Therefore, better to investigate further in the specific environment.

BA Report - order report - blank session details

You can first check whether you get any data when running the report from BR client directly. If it still doesn’t show any data, it is possible that this is due to a data set permission issue or actual query that executes return no data.

Relation for FACTS, Using Views

Did you try defining custom attributes for the relationship? Lots of errors in BA reports after upgrading from Apps8 to Apps10 UPD8

BR Execution Server error

Hi John, In Solution 288652 it is mentioned that this kind of BRES Log errors could be caused due to many reasons, (please note that in the solution it is mentioned that issue occurred randomly for the user) Factors that might cause this kind of behavior mentioned as, - BRES was not running using a dedicated Administrator Account- The dedicated user was not used to login to BRES and instead IFSAPP owner credentials were used.-Excel Service not been able to process the request at that time due to an issue with Excel Following document provide more detail in to BRES Windows Service User,https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/020_installation/400_installation_options/007_br_and_a/010_IFS_Business_Reporter/030_br_execution_server/010_BRES_installation.htm Hope this would be helpful to you. Business Reporter and multiple Information Sources

Are you referring to having multiple information sources in the BR report? If it is the case when you click on ‘Go to Design’, the dialog box for selecting information sources will appear. Here you have the option to select one or more information sources.

LOVs not working when ordering BR reports from IFS Enterprise explorer

Hi Thiwanka, Did you check whether dimension parents are set properly in this scenario? Noted that you have mentioned that when ordering through BR client it will pop up the company LoV as a prerequisite.Following documentation provide more information on dimension parents and LOV’s. Did you check how the Address Presentation window configured? The “Address Presentation” window can be used to configure the size of the address dialog box and thefields that needs to be displayed. Using the “Display Layout” and “Edit Layout” tabs In the Address Prestation form, the dialog box can be configured according to the user’s preference and it is important to keep in mind that the layout will be configured per Country.

Custom Object in IFS 7.5

Custom objects doesn’t exists in App75. However you should be able to create custom menus in App75. To create custom menus you can use Configuration/Custom Menu/Custom Menu window in IFS Admin executable. Hope this helps.

BR Reports - Required installation to open reports

Did you check whether IFS Business Reporter Execution Server is used when executing reports with following option checked in earlier situations? This option is used to save a BR report in standard MS Excel file format when ordered through the IFS Business Reporter Execution Server. When the executed report is viewed from the Report Archive it will open as a MS Excel worksheet which will not require IFS Business Reporter. Hope this might help.
