Ok, can you check the configuration on your Print Agent and check that it has a mapping for Logical printer MY_NEW_PRINTER. It should be in the printagent_conf.xml file and look like the following: <PRINTER_MAPPINGS> <PRINTER_MAPPING> <LOGICAL>MY_NEW_PRINTER</LOGICAL> <PHYSICAL></PHYSICAL> </PRINTER_MAPPING> </PRINTER_MAPPINGS> Further details are found here: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/020_installation/400_installation_options/005_operational_reporting/020_install_print_agents/default.htm Nope, no mapping for the printer MY_NEW_PRINTER in the config file and I can’t find it in the remote_printer_mapping_tab table. And double checking the Task Template PROCESSING_PRINT_JOBS the printer MY_NEW_PRINTER is not added there.Have I misunderstod something here?
Do you have the IFS print agent running on any of your servers? This message can appear when it you have a logical printer, but IFS cant find a running print agent. Hi yes, the above screenshots are from our test environment, and there we have the IFS printer agent (Java version) installed on the application server.
Hi, I am attaching a document - someone wrote for a client. I used that information to create my testing solution. I may have had to change that a bit. It’s been well over a year since last time I tested. This document and consulting (if needed) will assist in solving the requirement. Best regards, Thomas Hi! Still interested in an example of option 2 if you have one :)
Is there an updated overview about compatibility between IFS EE client versions and Windows client version. Does this list also contain the planned certification dates for future versions of IFS and Windows as both systems are frequently offering updates. This is important for planning of updates. Thanks Johannes You can check the supported platforms for APP 10 in this linkhttps://ifs.sharepoint.com/sites/ProductSupportedPlatforms/SitePages/IFS-Applications-10-Supported-Platforms.aspx What should I do to get access to this file? I want to check compability for Windows 10 version 21H2
Great to see you on the IFS community George! First just need to verify what the Reserve/Issue Method is set to for the component part. If you want it to be reserved (and never backflushed without a prior reservation) I suggest it is set to Reserve. Reservation and backflush follows a hierarchy where the system could be configured to stop at any level: Reserve/Issue From Location - If any location is defined on the material line, system will primarily try to reserve from here. If you want to restrict the logic from reserving from any other location, the Reserve Issue From drop-down on Inventory Part/Manufacturing tab should be set to Only Specified Location. Work Center Inbound Locations - Only applicable if the material is operation connected. system will try to reserve from the location(s) defined as Inbound locations on the work center. If you want to restrict the logic from reserving from any other location, set the Outside Reserve/Backflush on the Work Center page to Not Allowe
Hi, Yep, fully understand the limitation. Years and years ago, I used to need to do a mod. The mod was get the email address and place this in one of the unused event parameters like parameter 10 for example. That was long ago… Now we have at least two options. Option 1) is the use the report rules and static communication information. See below. For all customers (needing emailing) you would set up a communication name (for example INVOICE and ORDER CONF). Then in the report rules for the invoices send the email to the INVOICE and for the order confirmation send the email to ORDER CONF. The report rules are fairly straight forward, you may need some training on that. I’m including a screen print that worked at one time when testing. My rule was something like this. It worked really well. Option 2 was to have a event action of SQL statement for the PDF_Created event. The SQL then created the email and sent this to the INVOICE or ORDER CONF email address. The event was
