Thanks for your replies @Mathias Dahl @william.klotz A little more info…i have managed to get the ‘old’ ftp server working again… so now we have access to both ftp server…. but I still want to move to the new ftp and retire the old server altogether.. but its not as urgent as it was...So, the new FTP server is an existing file server so I haven’t been able to give it the same name / ip as the old ftp.@Mathias Dahl for your recommendations…for the new ftp server...I have configured the Repository Address and User. Created a new Repository for a single Document Class ( for testing ) its configured the same as the original but pointing to the new ftp server / path.. I also gave it a new repository ID and set this to generating with the old one set to Usable. so now i can create a new document and it goes to the new server repository but if i view any documents that were created when pointing to the old ftp / repository then i can’t view..EdmFile… I can’t see where this is configured? is

Hi,Yes sorry typo should have been 2022..MRP had been tried again in the meantime and has run OK with no errors, so not sure if it was an option that was chosen when it first failed or not… the user will run it tomorrow so we’ll see what happens then.. if it fails again I’ll post screenshots etc..Thanks for taking the time to reply.Mick.
Hi,Yes the Calendar is generating and the end date is 31/12/0222..There is no demand against the part in question, so I’m really not sure why the error…? Mick.
Try going into Exchange Admin and select the user that is wanting to send the Email…Then in Mailbox delegation add the account of the default mail sender into the Send As…This worked for us following advice from another member.Once you make the changes, give it a while took sometime for the changes to take effect with us.Mick.

Hi,OK looking at this again as it dropped off the importance at the time, but now with the recent Exchange vulnerabilities its come to the top of my list to retire our on site mail server…So testing again… and have setup the username and also default mail sender as my email account etc.. but still it won’t send… when i look at the application message it still looks as though ifsevent is still trying to send the email… so my question is where else could this be set..? this must have been setup by IFS when the system was installed as I can’t find any record of this user…Any ideas?Thanks,Mick.
OK tried using Change Document Repository but it failed because it can’t ‘see’ the old FTP server…is there anyway to change the location of existing docman objects? Thanks,MIck.
Hi Mick, Have you gone through standard Crystal troubleshooting steps? Does the report run in Crystal Developer when logged in as IFSPRINT? If not then maybe permissions need granting to IFSPRINT. Can you preview the report from the IFS client (Report Archive), if not what error message pops up? I run the report, add the parameter ( this report requires the Shop Order number ) as soon as I put this in it give the error below.. Mick.

Have you tried enabling “High” crystal loggings to get any more details of this error trace? Hi Rusiru, Thanks for your reply,Yes logging is set to high...but this is the only error I get when printing this reports, the other info in the log file is just the standard output that all looks correct.. The only thing out of the ordinary with this report is that it has a sub report, but other reports with sub reports are working fine…Mick.
Hi @MickD , Quite strange that you are not seeing anything in the Application Messages? Do all the messages go in to the status Finished/Transferred? If there is an error with the message they should go in to Waiting and eventually Error. Not having SSL in your apps environment shouldn't really cause any issues as far as i can see but probably worth checking up on. If that is the case, you should most probably see some sort of an SSL related error in the Application messages though. Cheers. We migrated to O365 from on prem Exchange a little while back and have it working nicely. Config below. Our mail is set to only work with an authenticated account, so we have an Exchange account exclusively to allow IFS to send emails i.e. we don’t allow anonymous sending. Garak,Thanks for your reply.As per my reply to Sajith if I configure the mail sender like this then nothing happens, no error the Emails just aren’t sent, then when I configure it to use our on site exchange server then all the emails get delivered.. also as mentioned could it be the SSL that is the issue?Thanks,Mick.
Hi @MickD , What exactly is the error that you see in the application messages? Office 365 outbound emails would need to use “smtp.office365.com” as the SMTP_HOST and should have “USE_TLS” checked. your “USER_NAME” and “DEFAULT_MAIL_SENDER” should both map to a valid O365 account with “PERFORM_SMTP_AUTH” checked. One thing to note is that O365 will not allow this account to relay email for other senders. So the “FROM” address for your email notifications should always match the address defined in “USER_NAME”. Hi,I’m running the event against the PurchaseOrderLinePart LU and PURCHASE_ORDER_LINE_TAB.Below is the code i used, there maybe a better way to do this ( I’m not an expert ) but adding PRAGMA AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION; fixed the mutating trigger ( thanks @johnw66 ) ‘code_a is NULL’ checks to see if any pre posting has been entered.INVENTORY_PART_DB = ‘FALSE’ - we’re only looking for non inventory parts at the moment. Marianne,Firstly thanks for your reply and secondly sorry for the delay in responding.Yes this is set correctly on both our Test and Live systems, but on our Test system with Apps9 Upd 17 installed it uses the senders emails and not the Co-ordinators email address as happens on our Live ( Apps 9 Upd 12 ) system.Regards,Mick.
Are you starting with a fresh server? Do you know if the Crystal runtime version changed with the update? Hi Kevin,Yes it’s a new server ( well an existing server that already had IIS installed ) on the production server it is running IIS 8.5 and CWS, I’m not sure where to find the version? The installer files are the same version ( 13_0_20 ) but I’m not sure of the actual version, there must be a difference as I need to install it after the Update to Upd 17…. also there is the Print Agent, will this need to be installed also?Thanks,Mick.
OK tried a reinstall and now it is saying it’s not configured correctly, although followed the instructions word for word… so back to square one now. Will keep looking.Mick.
Srikanth, Thanks for your reply, I will attempt a re install today to see if this solves the issue. One other thing do you know if we need to install the print agent on the temporary server also? When I Test settings in IIS I get the following error, even though the path is valid and the location is correct, have you see this before? Regards,Mick.
@richardwoods thanks for your reply.I don’t think its a permission issue as these reports worked fine before the update 17 install, the only thing I’ve done with them is to copy the report directory to the new directory on the temporary CWS server. I will check the permissions of the reports anyway.Regards,Mick.
