How to extract input history from the PSO Workbench

Dear Kamal, We can pass these types of non-scheduling-related information to PSO via “Additional Attributes” and these are only to provide additional end-user information. Additional Attributes can be added for either activities, resources, or locations. In this situation, it should be “Resources”. When using Additional Attributes, please be extra causes since this will be an extra overhead for the system. These need to be used in a very limited way as excessive use of this can result in performance drops. To send such information from FSM to PSO, a configuration needs to be done in FSM.Go to the “Additional Attribute” window in FSM and create a new entry.(I have created a sample to send the data of the Mobile_Phone column of the Person table) Then, refresh the cache and Initialize the dataset from the FSM end.Open PSO and go to the “Resources” screen and click on one of the Resources. As per my understanding, the FSM Portals also have the same client-server architecture.Therefore, personally I would suggest you segregate whether the problem origins from the “Database / Application Server” or “Client”.If it is “Database / Application Server” you can use Server-Logs and other techniques for the investigations.If it is from the “Client” aspect you can use the Google DevTools - Network. FSM6u10 Customer Portal Attachments

Dear @MartinF, I tested the reported situation in FSM 6 upd 10 environment, by uploading 3 files (image / doc / zip) to a request via Customer Portal itself and 2 more images files from Web Client and Smart Client. Those files got listed in the Customer Portal and the thumbnails were displayed as expected. When the same was checked via the DevTools – Network, we could see those files were received by the Client end successfully. When you click on the thumbnail, nothing will happen. If I am not mistaken, that is the expected behavior.But, when you click on the link (the name of the attachment), the file will get downloaded without any problem. I cross-checked the size and it is also matching to the originally uploaded one. Further, when I inspected the elements of the web page, I noticed that, those Attachment Name are bound to the base64 codes of the attachments. You can manually download the file using the link (href) code as well. Hope this information will help you to understand

Installation of FSM and PSO in same Server

YES, It is possible to install both FSM and PSO in a single Server and integrate the 2 environments.Further, in a single machine, you can have number of FSM Applications installed as well (E.g.: FSMTST, FSMDEV, FSMUAT). But, You can have only a single instance of PSO.

FSM Installer does not show "FSM Mobile Service" component in Azure upgrade

In a cloud installation, both FSM Application Server and the Mobile server get installed in the same App Service. You do not have install the Mobile Services separately because it will get installed automatically.Once the installation is done, check the content of the App Service via Advance Tools (kudu) in Azure portal. You can see there a is directory called “mobile” with the respective content.To access the Mobile Service, you can use the “xxxxxxxxxx/mobile” url as same as xxxxxxxxxx/client (or xxxxxxxxxx/clientDev or xxxxxxxxxx/clientTest)

Modify baseline client reports.

Dear csanders, As per my understanding, the FSM bassline reports are not available in the “Reports Admin” screen. The “Reports Admin” screen is dedicated for custom reports and since the baseline reports are not expected to be customize as it is they are not available in the said screen.In other terms, the “Reports Admin” screen is bound to cust_reports table and info of the baseline reports are not available there. To make changes to the baseline reports, you can simply create replications in cust tables from the baseline tables and make copies of the rdlc files accordingly.cust_reports ← metrix_reports cust_report_parameters ← metrix_report_parameters cust_report_datasets ← metrix_report_datasets Thanks and Regards-Ruchira

Export to Excel

Dear Ann, An excel with the message “<'perform_get_report_pdf_result'>'message_logged'<'/perform_get_report_pdf_result'>” could be seen if the application fails to generate the report successfully. The file type of the excel generates form FSM is “.xls” and this format is limited to output only 65536 rows. In your situation also, I suspect that when the report "Part Usage By Person" is ordered without setting any parameters, the output has more than 65536 records. That is the reason why the report is not generating as expected. This issue had already been addressed by FSM product Development Team and the fix is released in FSM 6 UPD 14. Further, note that the file format “.xlsx” is compatible to perform this operation without any problem so, could be used as a temporary workaround. As this is a baseline report and can not be viewed via the Reports Admin, there is some extra work to apply this.Yet again, this workaround will only be working in the Smart Client and will not w

Mechanism of resulting different search results with the ROW_LIMIT param

Dear Charith, The ROW_LIMIT parameter defines the maximum number of rows that the FSM Application server can return (sent to the client) in a single transaction. I will use a scenario where a user wants to view the list of requests by pressing the Search button in the Request screen.The basic behavior of FSM is, the FSM Client (E.g.: Smart Client) makes that request from the FSM Server using “hierarchy_select”.Then, the FSM Server converts this “hierarchy_select” to SQL and executes it against the FSM Database.Finally, the output of the request made will be packed as a “request_hierarchy_select_result” from the FSM Application Server and sent back to the client to display to the user. In said operation, the number of <request> nodes under “request_hierarchy_select_result” will be decided by the ROW_LIMIT parameter.As I mentioned earlier, the <request> nodes are generated from the Application Server based on the output received from the FSM Database.Then this implies that, t

Date format on Additional attributes - PSO

Dear Sinyb, The additional attributes you sent from FSM to PSO will transfer as XMLs as same as other inputs accepted by PSO. A sample additional attribute node could be found as below.<Additional_Attribute> <id>1234</id> <resource_id>TEST35-D</resource_id> <label>MPAN</label> <sequence>1</sequence> <label_value>G6765Y</label_value> <data_type>STRING</data_type></Additional_Attribute>The XML attribute “data_type” specifies the data type of the additional attribute. Based on the PSO Schema Guide, allowed values for this attribute are BOOLEAN, INTEGER, DOUBLE, STRING, URL. Therefore, it seems that, the data type “date” is not applicable here. Import/Export Logs

Dear Shubham, As per my understanding, the details of the Import/Export operations are not stored in the database level. In Export, the application checks the permission of the user and procced to perform the export, based on the metadata defined for the subjected table.In Import also, first the application checks the permission of the user and proceed to perform the import. The summary of the operation is recorded to a txt file (<table_name>.Import.log.txt) and display the path in the dialog itself. The XMLs that were executed during the operation and other information can be found in the server log and the mx_u table (this is a general info table, in some customers writing into mx_u is limited or switched off.). FSM 6 Update 14 Installation Error

Dear ABTIWARY, This issue can be arisen because of few reasons.You could be using an old PowerShell version. There are situations where even though you upgraded the PowerShell version, you might need to perform a Server reboot in order to get things applied successfully. The “PowerShellGet” module is not available / updated. The user you are using to execute this does not have Administrator rights. The operation is being blocked by the Windows Security. PSO keeping exception aknowledgements from FSM load file

Dear Jamie, As per my understanding, once the LOAD executes (the bulk XML which carries all the information related to a particular Scheduling Window) the information related to the subjected Scheduling window will get overridden. The PSO will not store the past information.Once a correction is done in PSO, it should be transferred back (broadcast) to FSM (or the any other external application) and changes need to applied in that database itself.Then, once the next LOAD job is executed, whatever the changes done will automatically included in it and there will not be any requirement to store the past changes in the PSO end. Dataset not loading in PSO in UAT environment post 6.9 upgrade (Unable to connect to SIM - no remoting string found)

Dear Teshan, The databases are not loading as the PSO windows Servers fail to connect to the database and pull the required data.As I suspect, the issue is with the PSO Installation / infrastructure itself. As corrective actions I would like to suggest;Use the PSO Installer (uninstall option) and remove all the Windows Services. Make sure there is nothing left in the location “C:\Program Files (x86)\IFS\Scheduling\” Then, restart the Database to make sure all the connections are released. Reinstall the PSO Windows Services.During this operation, make sure to use the “Database String” option in the database section of the installation wizard and verify the full string. Apart from that, this could happen if the Application Servers do not have connectivity with the database server. If the firewall rules of the servers blocks inbound/outbound operations, this could happen. Further, as Roman also mentioned, there can be a misconfiguration in the tnsnames. PSO - Inbound Messages not being received
