Commission Agreement Setup in IFS App-10

I believe the calculation method only affects the commission calculation but the system will always perform calculation per customer order line.If the calculation method is set to Additive, all matching agreement lines, in the sequence order, will be used to calculate the commission amount. If the calculation method is set to Exclusive, only that specific line be used in the calculation. Additive is the default value.So in the given example, the third customer order line with 50 will trigger the first range 1-499999 which is why the 20% calculation is is performed.

Printing barcodes for PO lines

Normally barcode scanning is required with physical good handling which is why it is incorporated with Receipts and other warehouse operations.But if a customer insists to have it with PO lines (may be with serial reservations) probably good to support a custom action starting from PO lines.

Net amount calculation is incorrect

Hard to tell without knowing the qty applied in the given example plus the exact currency used, but would like to mention that Price/Curr value is first get rounded to 0 or 2 decimals (corresponding to currency e.g.: USD goes up to 2 decimals to show cents) before multiple by the curr rate and the quantity.But in a Arabic extension, it can goes up to 3 decimals since a Currency -Dinar can be divided to three decimals. The ruling values can be found in the below table.

Creating receipts without Purchase Order

In Application 10, the receipt module was taken out as an individual unit with the expectation of making it a generic receipt function allowing all kind of receipts using single place of the system.Currently in IFS Cloud receipt is used for both purchase order and shipment order receipts (different source ref type for different objects)I think it is better clarify with RnD whether they are extending it for order less receipts specially for non inventory (one time) receipts.

Material Requisition Cannot be Closed

As long you have a live environment with recreating test data I think it is better to log and issue and investigate it further and like the idea of analyzing the impact. Probably can expect less impact since changing the supply code would only remove pegging on demand/supply objects.

Manage return packaging

22R2 deals with supplier returns using shipment functionality. That is rather an outbound solution including handling units.But I guess this query is on inbound RMA returns in Receipt module? I think that is still not possible in even in the latest release.

Duplicating customer order lines and the price?

Well the problem is this will not work in the core version. Once a price is changed and price freeze is checked, that line will remain the manually keyed value for post modifications like quantity and price effective date.But once that line is duplicated and saved, it will always trigger the price fetching logic again.

Count range by location

The range is not possible even in the Cloud version.Search criteria like 2..4 or <> are not recognized by the system. But I guess this is a good idea to raise towards RnD.

Print Closed Purchase Requisition

I believe the requirement of printing the Purchase Requisition is there when the internal demand exists within the procurement dept. At initial stage (planned stage) the demand is not released for further evaluation and once the PR is converted to Quotation or Purchase Order then the actual demand line is transferred to next level where there is no longer requirement to print the PR.I know this is not documented anywhere but just sharing the experience!

Duplicating customer order lines and the price?

Isn’t that the issue itself describes price freeze will not applicable for duplicating lines function.Price freeze option only make sure the manually set price will not get changed along with Qty or Effective price date changes in the same CO line. But not in when copying or duplicating.Please correct me if I have misunderstood the scenario.

Incoming dispatch advice containing supplier's part number

If you are talking of an external file loaded to Incoming Dispatch Advice view, it should be possible to match the right PO line if all PO keys are provided in the file. The system should probably match the PO / Line No / Rel No and thereby retrieve the internal part no along with the supplier part no received in the file.

Supplier invoice /PO/ Fixed Asset code part

I guess you have already activated posting M108 for FA code part, which allows you to pre-post the FA. and make sure FA object is with ‘Investment’ state before matching the invoice.

Commissions -Apps 10

I just bumped into this old tread but thought reply anyway. It should create reversal commission lines for credit invoices as it explains in the documentation. Hope someone can confirm that with the technical investigation results.Dcoumentation:The same applies if, for some reason, the basis for calculation is changed after a commission has been finalized. An example would be if you create a credit invoice for an order with invoice based commissions that have been finalized. In this case a correction of the commission will be transferred to the next commission period. In these cases the system will generate a correction line to the next commission period.

Customer Order Discounts / Discount Amount / Header Level

Customer Discounts (Customer / Sales/Discount Type) will act upon the total CO header amount (e.g.: 10% of 1200 USD whole amount) But the calculation is worked out in such a way that all CO lines will adjusted for the discount percentage and added up back together. But the total net amount have no affect. It is same as applying the percentage for the whole order amount.

Duplicating customer order lines and the price?

Copy lines or duplicate functionality is such that it will take the source line part /qty information and perform and insert fetching the effective price of the destination line considering the system date.This is true to all copy line functions through out the system.But an exception is handled in ‘Copy Order’ function which allow user to decide whether to pick price/discounts from source or current set up.

Delivery Confirmation of Customer Orders page

It is not possible to change the confirmation date on the client but perhaps a workaround would be to offset site date by -24 hours or in between to get the previous day time stamp if it works for the customer scenario

How to fix a PO over-invoiced

If it has gone up to Paid Posted I guess then the business should expect a credit note from supplier on additional payment done. That can be matched as a credit manual supplier invoice and set off the over payment.

How to fix a PO over-invoiced

I think a cancellation of the old invoice and match with the new invoice again would reverse the flow flawlessly.This way the inventory postings and I vouchers will get replaced without impacting the financial accounting.

Non-inventory part doesn't trigger Posting Controls

Please check whether checkbox - “Create Postings for Non-Inventory Purchase Receipts” is checked in Company / Supply Chain Information / Procurement/General tab.This attribute controls weather contra postings are created at arrival or not.

How IFS handle Cross Docking

I think App10 core version does not handle it but ASC (Advance Supply Chain) extension has Transport Order functionality which could be a tool to leverage this requirement.Additionally IFS Cloud has Shipment Order functionality cater this requirement to some extent with the newest addition - Multi-legged inbound logistics introduced in 22R2.

Material Pegging Issue, How to Remove Pegging?

In order to cancel the PO line, first you need to set the pegged qty to zero in the following pages.Work Task / Material Tab (work task status = Under Preparation) Manual Pegging of Work Order Material Line (set pegged qty as 0 and save) This will remove the pegging with the material line and later the PO line can be cancelled.

Then simply cancel the Request for Order Quotation and reinstate PR line to release which will allow to delete it.

I reckon your quotation is answered and converted to PO (Closed) so only way to reopen the PR line is to cancel the PO with giving direction to reopen PR line at the same time. After that step the user can delete the PR line where the status is in ‘Released’
