Darshana is right, users created through Aurena do not have DB accounts. In addition to the options that Darshana mentioned, using APIs and integration tools, these methods are also available for on-premises installs:Use one of the System of Service Users that have DB acccounts (link). Create Oracle DB accounts for your users using a script or manually.FYI, SQL statements in Quick Reports run much faster in Aurena than they did in previous versions. This can be an easy way of running SQL statements if needed.
Yes, we had the same question and needed to figure this out.Custom GraphicsI asked our Graphic Designer to create graphics to include at the top of screens that indicate which environment is in use. I will attach these. You can access the setup from under your user profile and be selecting the Appearance Designer menu.Exclusion TablesIt’s important to note that you will need to exclude a few tables from the refresh in order to avoid overwriting these when you refresh an environment. These are: fnd_branding_tab, fnd_branding_property_tab, fnd_branding_resource_tab, and fnd_branding_token_tab.Launch Page IconsWe also created color-coordinated Icons for a launch page the link to each environment. I will attach these as well. I would think that they would be useful to anyone configuring IFS non-prod environments.I hope this helps!
We created a mod to capture logins in A9. We didn’t uplift this to Cloud when we migrated to 23R1. Would be interested in non-mod solution if anyone has a suggestion.
FYI, I checked with our Procurement BPO. He suggested “There is a shortcut on the top of the screen, you access it by clicking on the three vertical dots on the top right.” Hope that helps.

...to add to these,Migration Jobs - The Excel Add-In uses Migration Jobs and makes it easy for users to make updates like this as needed. Find/Replace - In IFS Cloud, the Find/Replace functionality from Apps 9 has been replaced with “Edit All”. This option should available in the column header. Script - We run IFS on our own servers and are able to run scripts for things like this as needed. You may be able to do something like this if the other options fail. I would suggest trying Find/Replace first since that is easiest.

Are either of your companies publicly-traded?FYI, I am hearing that we have a requirement for certain user IDs to be listed on transactions that get created by the scheduled DB tasks so these have to be scheduled under individual IDs in these cases. However, I would like to find a way around this to avoid having to re-create schedules when users come and go within the organization.
That’s right, the security for IFS Cloud is completely different. Users no longer have Oracle accounts. Only a handful of system accounts have an Oracle counterpart. This link explains it nicely.Here is some information on reporting options that we explored with 21R2, ordered from most-preferred to least-preferred for end-user reporting. We found several ways to configure the UI:Global Context – This can be configured through Page Designer. This allows configuration of the following UI elements: menus, screens, column layouts, command buttons, field layouts, and field names on screens. Lobbies – These can be configured to provide a common UI for saved searches and My Start Page. “Job Role Templates” – We created what we called job role templates (“JRT”). This approach allows configuration of the following UI elements: column layouts, saved searches, bookmarks / shortcuts, My Start Page, table view Vs. list view. The JRT process is as follows: IT creates dummy, JRT users in IFS (e.g., “Maintenance Manager JRT”, “Shipping Admin JRT”, etc.), which can correspond with security roles if desired. BPOs log in to the JRT user accounts and configure the UI settings as desired for that role. Managers specify which JRT to use when requesting new users. IT Operations exports User Profiles from Cloud JRT accounts and imports
We created 5 on-premise environments outside of BuildPlace: DEV, TEST, PROD, TRAIN and MIGR. We granted unrestricted access to all environments except for PROD. In the PROD environment, we gate unrestricted access to the IT Basic Data Administrator to complete setup. Everyone else was read-only until we were closer to go-live. We would clone basic data from PROD to MIGR and would then migrate in master data to this environment. We would then clone this to TEST and run our SAT and ORT test cycles there. Later in the project, when we began transaction migration testing, we restricted MIGR to just the data migration developers and the Finance team members who were verifying integrity of balances, totals, etc. I hope this helps.

Agreed! We implemented SSO with Azure AD and it works like a charm. It eliminates the need for separate password resets, account deactivation, etc. since it’s all controlled centrally. We are configuring as many of our applications to use SSO as we can.
One more schema!FYI, we have found that it works best to ALWAYS export IFSIAMSYS before cloning and import this back afterwards. In other words, would suggest treating the IFSIAMSYS schema as a “refresh exclusion table” and not as a “refresh exclusion table for security” (above).
FYI, there are a series of tables that you will not want to clone between your PROD and non-PROD environments in order to keep your non-PRODs from connecting with third-party production systems (“Refresh Exclusion Tables”). Below is a list of the these for Cloud 21R2 that I got from IFS. We have used this through several refreshes already. Procedurally, you have to export these before you clone the DB and then import them back after the clone. Re-Quest, our DBA services provider handles all of this for our on-premise install of Cloud. You should check with your IFS sales contact for this. Sometimes new modules are added or existing modules are restructured. When you begin an upgrade between major versions (e.g. Apps 9 to Cloud), IFS will create a software order form which includes existing functionality (generally at no cost) and new functionality that you want to include.
We are a sand mining, processing and distribution company. Most of our plants use LabWare. We are planning to upgrade to a newer version next year. Was hoping IFS might have a LIMS module but don’t see that. We use Novacura and are considering using that to integrate LabWare with IFS. FYI, I know that IFS has a partnership with Dell for their Boomi product which handles integration. Good luck! Would like to hear what you find if you don’t mind.

Would like to enable IFS consultants to log cases with the IFS Support Portal. We can not currently register them to access our cases directly.
Would like to be able to reply to support emails to append replies to incidents and requests instead of requiring users to log in to portal. We use ServiceNow internally this way.
