Changing Person ID or Emp ID in the Employee Form

Regarding customer request reported via G2350213In the employee record is it possible to change the Emp ID or Person ID. When someone changes their name we may need to change their Person ID. There are situations where an employee ID may need to change. Is there a way to easily update these fields?

Mask or Encrypt confidential information

Regarding a issue reported with Support team via G2342026. Does IFS have a solution to mask or encrypt social security numbers in the Supplier record Tax ID#?   Some of our suppliers report as sole proprietors so we have their SS# recorded for 1099 purposes.This is extremely important to hide confidential information.  The attached screenshot is EXAMPLE only - I cannot send you an actual Social Security #

Company name on ISO20022 payments file

Related to case ID G2337720, creating this community post for customer’s reference. “We are working with Bank of America to automate our ACH supplier payments.  We are using the IS020022 payment format to send the payment file.  The file is working fine except that the Bank of America system will not accept a company name that is longer than 35 characters.  Our legal name is longer than 35 characters.  The file appears to be pulling the name from the company screen.  I really want to keep the legal name on the company record.  Is there anything we can do to have a different company name pull into the ISO payment file?  I did try to put a shorter name in the company's own address ID on the address that is the default for pay.  This did not work. Best Regards,Tharindu

Is there a way to get time setting aligned with local timezone at company level ?

Request received via: CS0108873US company (XXXX) work in US time. When making financial entries eg entering vouchers, supplier invoices etc, system defaults voucher date to current date. That is normal. However when at approx 4pm (us regional time) , the default date goes forward one day , presumably because it is now a new day in CET. For Sites, there is a time offset so that SITE transactions have correct US time.But I don't see this feature at company level. Is there a way to get time setting aligned with local time zone at company level?

the eInvoice workflow module

We purchased the eInvoice workflow module.  We have partnered with Pagero to have supplier invoices electronically created.   In our set up discussions, the "External Supplier Invoice tax Code" form will only pick up tax codes that are set up as "VAT" tax type.  We have forever used tax codes with a tax type of Sales Tax or Use Tax for our Canadian and US companies.  Only our UK company is set up as VAT.   Although at the company level we are Sales Tax, it seems IFS allows us to change the tax type of an existing tax code to "VAT".   Are we able to do this?   Even though we have history with these tax codes or is it better to create new ones?   Please advise the repercussions of changing this tax type and/or creating new ones.  We are not certain what is the best practice in this case. Thank you

Manual Supplier Invoice and PO

one line PO is created for amount 1000. The PO is received. We need to create  2 invoices and match each one to  to the same PO . is this possible in IFS?. If so, are there instructions.I really appreciate your help

T120644_EXP Aurena Time Entry Question

Hello,Is it possible there is similar functionality in a future update in Apps 10 or in IFS Cloud as described below?  This can be viewed in EXPMIGR (Apps 10, UPD13) Aurena.Is there a way instead of slicing the comments by project and working our way across “details on current row” that we could also get a “details” button on each date column so we could work our way down each day? I put in all my time on the 9th and now I want to go in and add all my Invoice Comments. Instead of needed to click “details” for every project all the way down, I could just click “details” on the day and add my comments to every project entered for that day. Your approach is faster if you’re entering all your projects for the whole week, but we encourage our employees to enter their time daily so this approach would save a lot of time.EXP is planning to go live in a few weeks with Aurena time and expense entry and this was feedback received during the Pilot phase.Thank you,Joann

Depreciation Calculation on Lease Assets

Depreciation is calculating use days in the month despite the method on the asset.  We need it to calculate the same amount each month like it does on a regular asset.  We are using the same depreciation method of regular assets, so this doesn't make sense that it isn't.

changing Servers where IFS runs

We are in the process of changing Servers where IFS runs.  In testing we are trying to run an external file assistant job to get an output file. The current External File Template has a folder in the Output File Path Server (POSPAY).  Where is the path of that folder defined?

Static Pool Request

Following information requested via case ID G2342017. An auditor asked the Finance department for some information. They in turn asked me, but I'm not sure where to find this data in IFS.The auditors want a "static pool" that shows (in a single file) all the company's invoiced sales, credit memos, adjustments, and payments (or any other activity). I thought initially they would want a dump of what's in Customer Analysis, but they want to see each individual payment and transaction. They mentioned that they'd want to see each transaction on another line - like, the invoice for 1000on the first line, a payment for 9000 on a second line, and then a 100 write-off on the third. Obviously, that's just an example. How can I pull this data for them? Does such a thing exist? Apparently they will be asking for this on a semi-monthly basis. I'm happy to pull this out of Oracle if possible, I just don't know where to find this info in IFS.

Questions from the Bank about IFS Capabilities

We are getting proposals from different banks.  They had the following questions that I was hoping could get answered quickly as they want to get a proposal to us.  Can IFS do the following (and does it matter if its Apps9 or Apps10)?  We are in the midst of upgrading •             Can IFS accept a ANSI 820 EDI or Lockbox BAI – This will help us better understand if IFS can ingest the industry standard files or what alternatives it needs for cash posting & reconciliation.o             If no, what formats can it ingest?•             Can IFS produce an ACH NACHA file, XML/ISO 20022 – Leverage industry standards to help migrate payments from paper to electronic with greater control and oversight.o             If no, what formats can it produce?•             Can IFS ingest a BAI or MT940 – Automate the reconciliation process with previous day data.

Paypal processing upgrade

Customer is currently using IFSAPP8 and following request received via G2343616. “Our finance team looking to get to level 2/3 for credit card processing.  This would require us to pass more information to PayPal than we currently do.  Is this possible with our current version? or would it need to be a customization.  In particular, they want to pass - Sales Tax Amount to paypal.”

New Payment Format for EFT

We currently have a successful process for issuing ACH payments from our US payment institutes.  I am now trying to implement this for our CA payment institute but the exported file format is significantly different.  I have copied the ACH payment format for this new initiative, but I am struggling to figure out how to change/copy the ACH mapping so that I can make it work for this.  I cannot find a file mapping.  Can you provide guidance?

Pay for Saturday hours at double the regular rate for a group of employees

Is there a way we can pay a group of production people at twice their hourly rate on Saturdays?   I was thinking to look at the overtime calculation and creating one that is an additional halftime to get double pay.

ARO depreciation

Request received from customer via G2343578.  “Can you please tell me how to recording ARO adjustments and depreciation?We have a requirement to review/adjust the valuation of our ARO liabilities on a quarterly basis and to record depreciation on the new adjusted value. It is possible to do an acquisition value adjustment per book on the ARO object to account for the valuation adjustment, but the entry is currently booked as follows:  DR ARO asset and CR Fixed Asset Clearing.  Is there a way for the system to book the credit directly to the ARO liability account?  Would it be as simple as creating a new "ARO Adjustment" transaction reason and adding this to the FAP 39/41 and FAP 47/48 with the ARO liability account defined for these?Thanks,Monique”
