ETM Mailbox Reader - Adding Triggering Email as Attachment on Event?

I think you’ll just need to select the Channel option “Expose Original Message as Header”. The iteration expressions for the attachment mappers will then add the eml as well as any attachments in the mail.

Error in IPaaS log - Transport not scheme specified

The “Transport not scheme specified: []” is expected behavior during startup. It doesn’t indicate an issue with ActiveMQ.If the message keeps appearing and IPaaS doesn’t eventually start then their is possobly an assue with the IPaaS configuration. In this case, and assuming an IPaaS restart doesn’t resolve it, then log a ticket as suggested. The confusing log messages have been removed in the forthcoming IPaaS release.

To read Graph mails you need to set the Channel Source to ‘MS Graph Mail’ The Email source only supports the standard IMAP & POP3 protocols.

In assyst 11.7 and later their are enumeration fields which take string values- eventBuilderTypeEnum, eventTypeEnum etc. these are in addition to the existing numeric fieldsThese fields can be identified by getting the REST schema e.g. http://{{assystrest}}/eventBuilders/schema & searching for eventBuilderDefinitionDto. ETM - Update of Custom Lookup Table possible?

There’s no official mechanism to do this. Please log an idea via the appropriate Community page. Include as much context as possible about your underlying need. For example if what you want to actually achieve is to use some other system as the source for lookup data then let us know the details - we may be able to suggest some other way to do that.

assystETM- Setting a variable based on whether a bond exists

The bonds are only retrieved if you explicitly ask for them via the ‘Fields’ option - in your example on the 'Record to Update’ pseudo field.We can have multiple bonds for a single contact user - each for a specific external system. To represent this outbound.self.bonds is an array.outbound.self.bonds.externalIdentifier is undefined which is why you always get false. If you just want to know if a bond exists then you can use outbound.self.bonds[0];Which is true if a bond exists and false otherwise. If you do have multiple externals systems that might be bonded to a single contact user, then you need to loop through all of the bonds to find the one for the external system your are interested in.You can use the JS filter() function to do the looping for you://Create an array containing only the (one) Azure AD bondvar azbonds = outbound.self.bonds && outbound.self.bonds.filter(function(b){return b.externalSystem == 'AZUREAD'});//Create a variable containing the one Azure AD bond (

Automatic Incident creation via SolarWinds Pingdom Alert

ETM can (probably) handle this. Create a remote upload channel. In a mapper create a variable called “check” to parse the JSON from pingdom (a mapper variable with the expression “JSON.parse(inbound);”.In subsequent mapper fields you can access this variable. For example you could get the description via the expression “check.description” and use this to specify the assyst event remarks.One possible issue is that ETM remote upload channels require http basic authentication headers to be included in the request. I don’t know if pingdom supports this.

You should be able to do this by having Solwarwinds send a request to assyst to create the incident via either the REST API or a Remote Upload ETM channel. If Solwarwinds can construct a valid XML or JSON assyst REST request then this is possibly the simpler route.The ETM route offers more flexibility in terms of the message format and the ability to transform the message before updating assyst. For example ETM could use Solarwinds own message format, or try and identify an appropriate CI to to use, or identify an existing ticket to update.If you need to respond to Solarwinds with the assyst ticket reference then either use REST, or ETM Response mappers (added in version 1.7).

API to interface with Assyst and pull certain information

You may be able to achieve this with ETM. It can be used to periodically query assyst REST (e.g. to get the list of active SVDs) and conditionally create new tickets. As Alan has suggested - use Postman to explore the API to see if you can identify the data you want to work with.

AssystETM: importing data from Assyst

It’s a 1.6 feature. Option 2 will work in 1.5 - but I wouldn’t recommend it for large numbers of events.For 1.5 I’d probably use a PowerShell (or whatever) script to pull the data from assyst and then push that to an ETM remote upload channel.

AssystETM: importing data from Assyst

You can create a channel with a source which searches assyst for events matching certain criteria. The source to use is “HTTP(S) Request”. The channel would require 2 mappers. The first would define a ‘variable assyst search’ field to fetch the events to work on. The second would update those events - the channel definition would include an iteration expression to repeat the second mapper for each event retrieved in the 1st mapper. The 1st option is simpler, though does require some understanding of the assyst REST API.

ETM Fields Parameter - Filter nested Details

‘Filtering’ refers to the the fields that are returned, not to the values within those fields. ETM - Get Building using Address Line1

You can fetch a list of possible Building’s into a variable, then loop through that list for the one that matches. Postcode is a supported criteria in 1.5 - so we can use that to limit the list of possible buidlings:I haven’t tested this - so there may be syntax errors , but the concept will work. You don’t need to do the looping in a separate variable. You could do it directly in another field. For example here’s how the default location for the matching building could be specified:This avoids the need to do any other assyst searches (other than the buildings for a post code) - so should be fast & efficient.

ETM - Get Correct Section Department

assyst doesn’t usually store null values - instead it uses a record with id 0. Question - Remote Upload to ETM Channel from external source system

A good way to get examples of how to submit a remote upload is via Postman. I’ve attached an example Postman ‘collection’ which shows how to submit a CSV to a channel (also included). If you click the Code “</>” button then Postman will show you how to make that request in a number of languages.You can use any language that has a decent http library - so use whatever is familiarYou can use the User Role option in the channel configuration to limit access to users with that role. If you grant only that role to a user then they will only be able to access that channel (this will also prevent that user from accessing the ETM UI).
