@jasahu They only disappeared when creating/modifying/removing QRs and then on the occasional upgrade. So if it was there, it always stayed there.
@jasahu From our experiences, if any Quick Report would get touched it would refresh the cache, which made sense. Most of the time the refresh didn’t take a lot of time, came back and the user didn’t even know the wiser. Just the occasional refresh that dropped certain Quick Reports. We also adjusted when we updated and/or installed Quick Reports into production to prevent fewer cache refreshes. And yes, we just created a service that we run all our Quick Reports like this through. Since implementing, I haven’t really looked through our logs to see if it is still happening. I also haven’t received any support calls for it after we trained our users over it and explained to them what is going on. One odd thing that we discovered is that this almost always happened to us when we updated IFS and even applied the occasional patch. So we made sure in our scripts we called that API when it was all done.
@jasahu We ended up putting in a “solution” where when IFS would throw an error that it “Couldn’t find Quickreport….” (paraphrasing that) we would catch that error and then call a custom action that would call Dictionary_Sys.Refresh_Odata_Projection_Cache(“QuickReports”, “”). Alerting the user that whatever they were trying to do failed and to try again. Most of the time, the refresh would be done by the time the user tried it again and wouldn’t see the error again. Or the refresh would still be happening and then once finished it would be there.We have updated IFS a couple of times since this issue, but I can’t say with any confidence that it would be resolved. We haven’t had the issue since putting in this solution. But it also may never be happening anymore either.

@SaraCrank @jamie.malangyaon If you want, you can manually create it by going into Aurena and doing the “New Projection Configuration”. Here is the path for it if unsure of where to go: Give it a name, not the same name as the LU. I usually follow IFS Projection standards and put Handling after the LU name. Add the Entity, which can be looked up by the LU Name and if you don’t have any other associations or actions you can skip through the next sections and click finish. Should they fix the issue you should be okay as long as you don’t put “CustomProjection” before your LU name. That is what IFS does when that projection box is checked and it builds its own.
@Rifki Razick I appreciate the response and knowledge. I’m not sure if/when our company will be going to the cloud but will try to remember that if it occurs.Just for my curiosity, we may be going to Aurena in the next year or two. Is there anywhere that these types of recommended ways to do things are highlighted anywhere? It will be a great time for us to reevaluate how we do things currently and of course some things will be brand new in using Aurena. So it would be great to find a list or guidance on the IFS best practice to achieve a goal. I know there is always the help documentation, but as human nature sometimes dictates, if something is working, a better or more right solution is not always thought of to look into. I can certainly say that if tomorrow we were going to IFS Cloud, I would have never have thought to look for a better way to configure a data source unless our current way was broken. I know it is a fairly loaded request, but didn’t think it would work to ask
@MitDenukN It has been a while, but if I recall correctly we reconfigured the print server and it started to pick up the prints correctly.
Hello @ReinierHulsman, My best advice for this would be to make sure that you can run the quick report yourself through IFS with no errors first. I had two quick reports that had this issue. I found out that a view that we had created, that I was utilizing in the quick report, had been changed without me knowing. Something that I was using was removed. So that invalidated the quick report causing it to no longer show up in that list. So my suspicion would be that if a report is not showing up in the QuickReports.svc service that it is no longer a valid working quick report. I have not had the issue since figuring that out. I hope that is your issue as it took me quite a while before I finally figured this out. Best of luck!
@sutekh137 I’m not sure if I am going down the right path on this one because it seems you may already know about this but I’m not sure.Are you referring to including an ENUMERATE= comment on your _REP view in your RDF?For instance that Pur_Order_Print_Option_API.Enumerate() you speak of is in the view PURCHASE_ORDER_PRINT_REP on the field PUR_ORDER_PRINT_OPTION. You can see that if you view the comments of that field in the view.I believe this is how when the dictionary refreshes it knows how to assign an enumeration like that in the Operational Reports.
@jtobinI was able to use an entity that I knew I already had in a projection and was able to use it again when creating another one.

Hello @knepiosko,Thanks for the response.This is from Apps 10 Update 12. I have been doing more testing and I had an interesting situation where I sent five print jobs at once for the same report to have different data (simple print jobs, just different part numbers). Two of the five jobs went through and printed fine. The other three were in error with this same error. So the report is working from time to time. In this instance as well there were not any Crystal Report errors.Are you aware of any type of logging that the Print Agent may be doing which I would be able to look at? I’ve been going through logs that I know of but I don’t think I am looking at the right place. Thanks
@lopespetro Yeah, thanks for that. I just went the route of creating two quick reports. One which I can run in the Application Schedule Task which will run for the previous day. Then I created a second one where the user can request multiple days if they want on their own.

I did try #YESTERDAY# and I received this:ORA-01841: (full) year must be between -4713 and +9999, and not be 0 With this as the parameters (that was sent in the exported excel):Parameters: (Fnd_View) cursor/OUT (Text) = from_date/IN (Text) = #YESTERDAY# to_date/IN (Text) = #YESTERDAY# So I am going to assume that it doesn’t work? I know that #YESTERDAY# format for custom events is YYYY-MM-DD and my quick report has this: TO_DATE('&From_Date', 'YYYY-MM-DD').

I just wanted to get this one to get working before I went and “fixed” it. Thanks for double checking that @Charith Epitawatta. I did the incognito thing and I didn’t get the 404 issue. Now I forgot to mention that these projections are Integration projections. So I did all the /main URLs but then just in case I did the same thing replacing all the /main with /int. Would there be something different to be done with Integreation projections? I’m guessing no because my first one worked with no issue, but I wanted to clarify.After doing all that I still received the error. Is there any type of cleanup or refresh that happens that may automatically take care of this error? For example, if I leave it for something that may happen overnight would that maybe resolve it? Thanks @Charith Epitawatta for the quick reply. I tried the two URLs that you suggested. The second one /clearmetadatacache returned a 404 after replacing the correct ServerName:Port. The first one, I am going to assume did what it needed to, as I just got a blank screen.I did try running the application even with the first one not giving me a 404 and I still got the same error. So if the /clearmetadatacache needs to go along with that one I will need to try a different link if you see a typo in the one you gave me.Thanks,Derek
@paul harland I appreciate the assistance! I have had to do the metadata update before but for due diligence I did do that again. I also ran your script that you provided. As you guessed correctly each of those solutions still produced the same result. However, I do agree with you that some type of refresh is still needed. If I go to the API Explorer there is no mention of any of the three actions that I have added. Which makes sense due to the error that is being thrown. Is there anything out there that forces that API to get refreshed? Or is that what the clearmetadatacache is supposed to do?

Were you able to get this resolved? Our list has some PL/SQL methods but certainly not all of them and nothing that we created for ourselves.
