Hi .. not really .. it’s the window inside IFS (10) that opens that html page when you make a custom menu of type URL. We use it for automating things using php and javascript, but the version of the browser in IFS is very picky on any html tag inconsistencies. Debugging the page in google chrome is impossible because there everything works fine. So i would like to set for example google chrome as the browser logic used within IFS, instead of this light weight version of some old technology.
Hi Bruce, It would be nice to talk to you. We’ll align things here and can we then organize next week for a skype call ? We’re CET timezone in belgium, so 6 hours from you. So if it suits you, tuesday 10th 15:00CET (9:00 with you) ? Br Filiep
indeed .. i got some feedback from IFS that some limit (fetching 130 records at a time or so) is making this a very lengthy process. Point 1 gave me only 1 line, so that was for sure not the problem, the 2nd generates indeed 4800 lines if that is fetched per 100 it will take quite some time indeed, china has it worst, brazil not much better. Looking forward to the solution !
I now recently started with instructing some endusers to have the debug console active .. clear from time to time .. hoping that from the exports will come something usable. For the startup slowness, apparently that is acknoledged by IFS support, hopefully they can make their point with R&D.
@anmise We have a single signon setup, but basically yes, after the selection of the user. @sampathsris Yes, It is common for all users, Something with a profile ? Even as slow for a new user with no profile assigned. YES IFS looked into that, blaming it basically on the high latency (250ms) but then why did IFS8 started that much quicker (10sec.) on the same network before? I suggested, based on the debug console results that there is far too much data going from the server to the client .. which at that point is useless. After 6 month i get the feeling that R&D is now understanding that there IS a problem, and that changing the latency in china or brazil is not within my power :) it’s totally not about the binaries .. it’s about the excess of database data on startup .. the thing is .. it looks like i’m the only one with this issue and it takes me a lot of energy to persuade IFS that in case of slow networks it’s a problem to start the application. Fortunately, and I sh
Did you get any further with this? We have the same issues with our database server (Oracle Enterprise 12g) and nobdy seems to bother about this. Should IFS not have the experience to pinpoint the issue? This is clearly not an isolated problem.
not sure it has any link to it, but we recently got a bugfix for the events ‘BALINVROU+’ and ‘BALINVROU-’. They created some faulty postings and is triggered by “Balancing invoice amount postings after rounding - Shortage Found”.
Hi ! I’m filiep, working as ERP Applications manager with IFS since version 7.5 SP 2. The company i work for www.vyncke.com is building biomass fired energy plants all over the world. So my 300 IFS users are located in belgium (main office), czech republic, germany, china, thailand, malaysia, brazil and spain. Vyncke started with IFS in 2009 .. upgraded for the first time in 2015 to IFS8 SP1 and now recently mid 2019 to IFS10. We’re a project based company, relying for our finance on IFS in Belgium, czech republic and china and from next year on we want to add our thailand and malaysia offices. Apart from that the general term will be engineer-to-order. A bit of warehousing, manufacturing, engineering, after sales with customer orders but working on the work order module to make that more efficient from next year on as well for the whole “Service and Maintenance” solution. And hoping to use IFS-HR module more efficiently in IFS10. Apart from this i’m also a board member of the ben
