Hi @wnaylor - IFS released an improvement for this in Cloud 23R2.
FYI - managed to resolve this just now. Was due to the fact the Company & INT Customer addresses were not matching.
Hi @XitThejaG - did you find a way to fetch it automatically? Im having the same issue - its defined on the Site and is available via LOV but wont pull through automatically. ThanksJames
Did this ever gain any traction?
Thanks @Marcel.Ausan - that seems odd, considering the authorization for Step 20 cannot be actioned until Step 10 is approved, unless Superior Auths are used? Wondering if a Custom Event Action could handle this?
Hi Pasindu - Did you manage to resolve this? I am facing the same scenario. My understanding was that Step 10 would receive the authorization first. Upon completion, Step 20 would receive the notification.
Expiration Date is typically assigned in the arrival/receipt process whether its manufactured or via PO. This can be set manually, or it can use settings for Shelf Life on the Inventory Part. Id recommend using it in conjunction with Serial or Lot Batch tracking, otherwise that expiry date is applied to all parts in that same location. In IFS Docs, if you search ‘Set Expiration Date’ there is some useful information there.
Hi @Ravinatha Ariyarathna - that is clear. The approval of the quote though could be done by anybody as it does not consider authorisation limits. If we still require the approval prior to the PO (considering limits), which is the best way to capture this? Approval Routings possibly?
Hi @Mayura Wasantha - After issuing the object on a project, I was able to place the serial object into a structure, moving the item from Issued to In Facilityis that the correct process? once issued should it remain in issued status or be moved into facility? Now the rental period has completed, I end the rental. At this point, I am unable to process the Supplier Shipment because the Inventory is not available. What is required at the end of the rental? How do I move the object from In Facility back to a state where it can be returned on the Supplier shipment?
Hi Asitha, Thanks for the reply. When the Rental Part is reserved ready to issued from Company A to Company B, we have a Mobilization WO created. Could this Place in Serial Structure take place within a task here? What is the purpose of the ‘In Facility’ Location? When I issue from Company A to Company B its location becomes ‘Issued’ When I return the rental part at the end of the rental period, its issue is back in Inventory? Im not sure of the purpose of the facility, or even if its required? I would like movement between Company A and Company B to be reflected in the equipment structure, but Im unsure how best to accomplish that. Thanks James “In Facility” is one of the values, that describes the serial part’s current position. i.e., the physical position or location. The other possible values are “Unlocated, Contained, In Repair Workshop, Issued, In Inventory, Under Transportation, Returned to Supplier. “In Facility” is required, in any situation where t
@Asitha Rajapaksha Done some testing on this and the results are as follows:I delivered the rental part - status became issued.I then executed the work task to place serial into a structure. This changed the status to In Facility and was in the correct structure. When I receipted the rental part into company B, the status has moved back to In Inventory and was therefore removed from structure and the operational status was Out of Operation. Is this correct? When the part is rented out from company B to company A, do you lose visibility within the structure? If a parts issued on a project is it In Operation or Out of Operation?

Hi @Karlee69 - Im having a similar issue… The inventory part, is in stock, therefore the Serial object location is ‘In Inventory’ - When its in this status it appears you are unable to place it within a structure. Have you had similiar issues or know how to resolve? When I rent the part to another site (in another company) im having difficulty working out how to reflect that movement in the object structure as well...Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks
