Hi I’m Tim, and I have been using IFS since 2002! We installed IFS 2001 and then upgraded to 2003 very soon after, for Oracle compliance. We then hugely customised it (via IFS developers - yes, we couldn’t do it ourselves back then 😥) and got stuck on that version. Sadly, the business closed, and I was made redundant, but fortunately found a new job working with IFS at MBNL. We are a Joint Venture between BT(EE) and Three, running their mobile phone network.I was thrown in at the deep end, learning Apps9, and then IFS Cloud, which we are upgrading to, as we speak. In my spare time, I’m a petrol head going to classic racing events, I own a classic car (Morris Minor Traveller), and I’m involved in amateur dramatics (#SilchesterPlayers).
You are right - I discovered, by including the status in the output, that it changes status twice when running. One to watch out for in the future!
Anyone know the input parameters for this? We are hosted so am unable to look on the db.
Thank you both for this!
Thanks Nick - I’m convinced it isn’t an insert as it only triggers on “Objects are changed” If I delete the action and add a Send Email - it only sends once, but I get each message sent from the LOOP twice, suggesting it is running the triggered action twice. The Event: The Event Action: The SQL code: DECLARE--attachment_ VARCHAR2(2000);subject_ VARCHAR2(2000);cc_mail_ VARCHAR2(2000);body_ VARCHAR2(2000);email_ VARCHAR2(2000);email2_ VARCHAR2(2000);email_tim_ VARCHAR2(2000) := 'blah.blah@blahblah.co.uk'; --TEMP value to test this processproject_id_ VARCHAR2(50);welcome_names_ VARCHAR2(2000);--lpad_approved VARCHAR2(2000);lpad_current_yr VARCHAR2(2000);lpad_lts VARCHAR2(2000);lpad_lts_pct VARCHAR2(2000);--CURSOR c_get_projects_affected ISSELECT * FROM ifsinfo.BAD_PROJECT_SPEND_LAST_WK;-- BEGIN FOR bad_spend IN c_get_projects_affected LOOP project_id_ := bad_spend.project_id; email_ := NULL; email2
By the way - my first use of this is in the out-of-the-box holiday request Event HOLIDAY_REQUEST_STATE_CHANGE.
@MWILSON - how do you get the database name? Would love to add this.
Unfortunately, our DEV environment is being refreshed from PRD today, so using an ACP is out of the question. It just seems not right that we can Export, but not Import. I’ll go down the IFS support route, Thanks for all the contributions.
Thanks for this - it is hosted by IFS so we cannot do this, as we don’t have IFSAPP password (I’m assuming it needs to be executed under that user).I guess the alternative is to raise a call with support for them to apply to PRD.
