PM Program and Work Task Templates

When defining a PM program, I can define the appropriate ITEM and PROCESS classes, and I can have multiple definitions in the same program. When PM Actions are generated for the programme, actions are generated for all objects and work task template connections - not just the ones linked by the process and item class. In this example, I have one process class, but two item classes. Class 1 is linked to device 1. Item Class 1 selected, Device 1 is applicableClass 2 is linked to Device 2. Item Class 2 selected, Device 2 is applicable. When I add the relevant work task templates into the PM Program, I can only select the correct WTT where the ITEM class has been selected as one of the item classes in the PM program. Work Task Template connection to the PM Action. Each Work Task template is configured for its own item class only. In this scenario, for each object I will have two PM Actions, one that correctly links to the object via the item and process class, and one that is incorrect

Apps 10 Aurena - Custom Action using Data from two entities

We have a custom action connected to the tool and equipment entity. This entity is connected through a standard entity connection to Work Assignments. We need to use the custom action, to assign the tool to the work task that the work assignment belongs to. Therefore we need to see if there is a way to connect the parameters of the custom action with the data coming from two different entities. In EE, we can achieve this using :i_hWndParent and the field name to link the parent entity from the form fields. Is there a way to reference the on screen fields in a similar way in Aurena? We would like to have the same functionality in both interfaces.

Aurena - Purchase Requisition on Work Order

Hi Community. I have looked in IFS today and found that a PR cannot be connected to a Work Order through the Aurena client. Does anyone know if this is by design? It doesn’t look to be hidden at all, it just isn't there. I cannot find any information about this in the release notes for its depreciation or inclusion in future updates.

iPad - Aurena Client, poor contrast for read only fields

We are currently looking at deploying IFS APPS 10 Aurena client onto iPads. We have come across an issue with how Aurena is displayed in Safari on the iPad vs Chrome on the PC. The issue is with the contrast on read only fields. As an example, here is data on Chrome (PC) and Safari (iPad) This isnt anything to do with the display settings on the device itself. This is a problem as when you take the device outside into the light, you cannot see any data. The editable fields are generally OK and readable. The other colour schemes also have this issue with a low contrasting colour for read only text.

MRO - Customer Owned Material on Task Card

There seems to be some functionality missing from Task Cards around the ownership of material used in maintaining, repairing and overhauling (MRO) processes. In preventative maintenance, we can plan the ownership of materials on PM Actions which get transferred into the maintenance material requisition lines upon the PM Action generating a work order. We have the same requirement to do this but from the Maintenance Order. The maintenance order is constructed of several maintenance events for a serial repair, or manual maintenance event. Each of these events will have one or more task cards, each of which can have an independent list of materials. These materials will be transferred to a work order once released, however it only considers company owned material.

Apps 8 - Custom Task Schedule

I am looking to see if anyone has any advice on the syntax required by a custom task schedule in Apps 8 that I am trying to implement to run a specific task on the last day of the month. Using Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 database and cant find any specific advice as to whether the syntax is different. This string works on later versions.

Attach Document from Oracle Path to an Email Custom Event

Hi All, I have exported some data from an IAL using a migration job which has successfully saved the file onto a server file path defined in the Oracle database. I can see that the file has been created. What I would like to do, is to pick that file up on an Email Custom Event. I have tried the local file path but keep getting issues to say that the file does not exist. Unsure if this should work or if there is a different approach to take - any help would be appreciated.

Flat File - Data Migration

Hello All. I have some data in a flat file where columns A to C are header information and columns D to G represent line information. Is it possible to use a master/detail migration on this data to import it into IFS as a header and associated lines without manipulating the data further? The data will come from an external system regularly so minimal manual processing of the data is a requirement. Has anyone done this before and are you able to share the setup/config you have in the migration jobs?

Multiple PDF Insert - Report Rules

Hi Community. When looking at report rules we would like to add multiple PDF inserts onto a report. It seems that the second “Insert PDF” action doesnt take effect when printing the document. Is there a way to accomplish this without merging the two documents into one?

Technical Characteristics on Type Designation

Hi All, When associating a Technical Class to a Type designation within Service and Maintenance, I was sure that the values for the attributes on the class could be independent from each other.As a simple scenario, lets say we have two motors, and we have a characteristic that captures the colour of the motor connected to the technical class. The class is connected to the Type Designation within Functional/Serial object. I would expect from prior experience that we can capture the colour of two independent objects which have the same Type Designation. Motor A; Type Designation: Motor, Motor Colour: Red Motor B; Type Designation: Motor, Motor Colour: BlueBoth items are motors and have the ability to record values against the attributes defined in the class. What I am seeing in IFS APPS 10 UPD8 is that the attributes are no longer independent from each other. If I change Motor A to be red, then all motors in the system are now red. Grant Access to Aurena Page Designer

Hello Community, does anyone know how to grant access to the page designer in Aurena? We cant find any projection name for this when using the debug console or log window. Is it something that only the IFSAPP user can do or are we missing something?

Turn Work Order into Repair Work Order

Hi Community. We are using Apps 10, UPD9 and have run into an issue with repair orders and i am hoping that someone may know of a solution. If we use the “Create Repair Order Assistant” this process allows you to define a Serial Object, a Workshop and will set up the work tasks, material requisition and return lines required to receive a part, have it worked on in the workshop and then re-issued into the object structure. We are looking into the functionality of using the “Turn into Repair Order” which is available on the Prepare Work Order screen. This asks us for the repair workshop but doenst create any work tasks, materials or returns lines to facilitate the move. This function also takes the serial object and moves it directly to the workshop (without us returning and issuing) The issue we have identified with this, is that we can now not remove those parts from the Workshop object. We cannot issue them, return them, move them manually or place the object in facility from th

Work Centre Load - Planned Work Orders

Hi All, I am planning a work order on an equipment object with an associated manufacturing work order. My WO has an Obstructive Operation status and I am warned that the Work Task may interfere with planned Shop Orders. I can see that the correct work centre is listed in the prepare tab. I have shop order operations planned for the same time as the planned dates in the Work Order. I cannot seem to see the planned load on the Work Centre where it shows that a Work Order is planned to be executed. Is anyone able to point me in the right direction as to what I may be missing?

Mobile Work Order Configuration

Hello community. We have a client who would like to use the Mobile Work Order but have the option to raise PR’s through the app. I have looked through the configuration and i cannot see how we configure this. I can see that the user has permission to the process in the permission set in the activities tab however the functionality does not show in the mobile application. Does anyone have access to resources on how to configure what appears on the front end of the mWO app?

Service Contract SLA - Apps 10

Is anyone aware of use cases for the SLA attached to a service contract? We can create an SLA template, which can have multiple lines included into the template with different response and resolution targets. It seems that the SLA only considers the first template line - we cant work out why. Any help from the community would be appreciated
