Supplier check layout not printing correctly

We are on Apps10 UPD 16, using Aurena exclusively. We’re developing our supplier check layout, and having a lot of trouble getting it to print properly. What I mean is, when the layout prints to different printers, the margins, scaling, positions change, sometimes significantly. We are printing on blank check stock, which means MICR coding and everything else is printed, and must be in exactly the same position each time. We have checked printer drivers, reset printer settings, everything we can think of. What’s even more bizarre to me is if we preview the check, then print it to PDF 100% scaled, it again displays differently. The MICR could be off the bottom of the page, the fonts are way too big, etc. Has anyone else run into this, and what have you done to fix it? It’s the inconsistency between printers that is most troublesome, I don’t want a layout that only works on one printer, that’s a single point of failure and won’t scale to other locations.Appreciated.Warren

Bulk CO address change in Aurena missing?

Hello, we’re using apps 10 Aurena. It appears there is no batch address change function for customer order lines, but this feature exists in IEE for apps 10. Is there another way to do this? It will be a heavily used function for us and we only use Aurena.

Print servers and Azure Universal Print

Hello, I have two questions around setting up print servers for a cloud hosted IFS apps 10 Aurena only deployment.IFS recommends setting up print servers “as close to the physical printers as possible”. I see this as an outdated strategy. Many organizations have centralized data centers and/or cloud infrastructure and are actively trying to reduce the number of servers installed at locations, including print servers. There are low latency, high bandwidth connections that can overcome issues of the past. So, what are the actual needs for bandwidth, latency or other technical specifications to make IFS print servers work effectively so I can decide whether they actually need to be on site or in our data center?Second question, does IFS support Azure Universal Print, which is ultimately where we’re going in our infrastructure.Thanks.

Hiding non harmonized vendors within companies

Hi, we are running a single instance of IFS Apps 10 Aurena with multiple companies. Often these companies are in completely unrelated industries, or run very independently with no central body to manage data like vendors for example. If company A and company B both do business with vendor ABC, and we want to have two instances of this vendor set up so each company can independently manage their relationship with them, what is the best way to hide these duplicates from each company. As in if company A calls vendor ABC A-ABC and company B calls it B-ABC, we’d like to hide A-ABC from company B and B-ABC from company A so they can’t accidentally use the wrong vendor and to prevent clutter in their vendor lists.Thanks.

Is there a comprehensive list of lobby elements with descriptions on what each displays to assist users with defining what they may want on a custom lobby? Specifically for Aurena Apps 10 ideally.This would be very useful for users.

Parameters for lobbies

Hi, we’ve just went live in our first division with IFS Apps 10 Aurena. Users are struggling with lobby parameters and knowing what are valid options, or what the system is expecting to show them data. Are there any guides or documentation on the built in lobbies? This would be very helpful.

Browser support IFS Apps 10 Aurena, now and future

Hello,I know Google Chrome is the fully supported and recommended browser for Apps 10 Aurena right now. I’m wondering about support for other browsers, specifically Edge in the future. Edge is adding significant functionality and for companies using the MS stack of applications, there can be significant integration advantages to using it. I’ve been told to this point to NOT use Edge, but will that always be the case?Thanks,Warren

Creating cycle count report for part with value in lot/batch number field

It appears you can’t create a cycle count report for a part with a value in the lot/batch number field. We want to store unique identifiers for lot tracked electronic parts (that come in reels) in there from an x-ray counter, and then cycle count within the lot. So the reel (containing up to 5,000 parts) is a lot that needs to be tracked, and we’d cycle count the parts left in that lot (reel) with the xray counter.Can someone confirm this is expected functionality (Apps 10 Aurena) and if there is any reasonable workaround for this? Obviously we could create a custom field for this data, but given how many places it needs to be surfaced, using the lot number field (which is exactly what this is) makes the most sense.

Change colour of Aunena environments to differentiate

Hello,We are running apps 10 Aurena exclusively. I want to clearly differentiate the look of different environments (PROD, TST, DEV) so that users don’t accidentally do work in an environment that they don’t intend to (ie: you think you’re working in PROD but forgot you’re in TST). Ideally, changing the colour or something equally clear, for all users of the environment. Is that possible?Thank you,Warren

APB limitations, using third party scheduling software?

Hi, it seems APB (Advanced Planning Board)has quite a few limitations, particularly around handling work centers with multiple resources. For example, scheduling a workcenter with 8 resources, how do you get the system to divide up the work and time it will take (perhaps 1/8 the time as a single resource)? Workarounds that have been floated include manually splitting up order lines as they come in (not scaleable) and fudging the efficiency factor to say, 800% in this example, also not great. Any other ideas that people have tried? If APB is not capable, have others used any third party scheduling software? Any recommendations?Thanks

Add a surcharge or transfer fee moving from one warehouse to another

Hi,We have two sites within the same company that do a lot of inter-site business. Site A makes a controller that site B integrates into their product and sells the package to the customer. Site A wants to recognize some margin when they transfer the controller to site B, in a sense selling it to site B at a markup. I’m familiar with other systems where you can add a surcharge or a warehouse transfer charge which could accomplish this, or even define a warehouse transfer pricelist. Is there anything similar in IFS Apps 10? We’ve struck out so far as to how to accomplish this short of making both sites companies, which is not ideal.
