Hi Experts,This is a follow up to a this post. I have the requirement of creating a view that extracts the date part of the plan_start_dttm (a datetime field in task), and to use this view field for filtering tasks by only giving the date (irrespective of time).My timezone is UTC+11, and the azure database is storing values in UTC. Because of this I am running into an issue with the dates stored during morning hours (before 11 am). I have highlighted above how the query yields incorrect values based on the time. Notice how for 10.59 a.m it gives the incorrect date and at 11.01 a.m it’s correct.Is there any way around this issue?
Hi Experts,I applied a backup package for the first time (by hitting the apply button on the header) and observed the following,The package application is still in the status “running” and has been the case for the last 2.5 hours.But as shown above I see a log with an error status.When you expand it, and the run log is as follows, I can see that some of the configs have been rolled back (i.e the package application has started to execute). But now I’m not sure whether it has stopped with this error, or still executing despite the error since the status is still “Applying”.So, the questions I have are,*Did I apply the backup package correctly? Is the way to do this different from than just hitting “apply” on the header?*Is this error accurate? afaik, all the backup packages get created with execution parameters being empty*Does the package application process continue despite this error?
Hi Experts,We need to filter the tasks by the plan_start_dttm and by only using the date part. This field is a datetime field with a mask type of datetime. Now the problem is we are not able to do that easily,ex: On the web client, Nothing gets fetched since it’s trying to match the exact time as well.One way to do this is to have an expression, But this is clearly not user friendly.Another option would be to use a view and create a field that filters only with the date, and set this view field against the search section of the screen. But this is extra work.Is there any easy solution for this?(Let’s assume that changing the field mask on the metadata level to “dateonly” is not an option)
Hi Experts,One of our customers is using Intune MDM to distribute the FSM Android application. This required to rebuild the mobile application with a new application id (to sidestep the “Upload a new APK file with a different package name” stated here) and they had to generate a new google maps api key for this.The question is w.r.t maintaining different versions of the application to cater for different environments (Dev, Test, Prod).In the conventional approach of sideloading the app, I take it that there is only one APK file (with one Google Maps API key) and copies of this are maintained in separate locations for the respective environments. Hence, in the case of an upgrade or a customization rollout it’s possible to have the mobile application gradually be tested and upgraded across dev, test, prod. We tried to achieve this by adding a DATEONLY mask type on the custom metadata level. So, now we got it to show this instead of this This worked well from the UI p.o.v as well, because the user no longer has to select a time when setting this date (which is what they expected)But then we ran into an issue with time zone differences. The customer time zone is UTC+10. Whenever a task was created before 10 a.m, the field returns the date part of the UTC time (without any timezone conversions), resulting in showing the previous date on the client.Example,with DATEONLY mask for the plan_start_dttmIf a task is created on the web client at 8.00 a.m (on brisbane timezone/utc+10), with the plan start date set to 23/10/2023 and saved, soon after saving the plan start date shows 22/10/2023. Hi experts,We have outbound integrations that are triggered based on the ticking of a checkbox. One integration runs when the check box is ticked (Let’s say IntA). Another one (IntB) is run when unticked. Both are connected to synchronous transactional business rules. So if the integration succeeds, the ticking/unticking gets saved successfully.IntB works fine. But IntA runs into the following error, On the web client when the same is done, the error is a bit misleading, Now, despite the error the integration actually works. If the user refreshes the screen and says ‘No’ to the “Do you want to save changes ?” message, the checkbox is ticked and the integration run log shows that it’s gone through.Upon checking the time taken for both the integrations I observed the following,IntAIntBAs you can see, IntA takes signifacntly more time as opposed to IntB. Hi Experts,I have a requirement to show the result of a url within an FSM screen. So the setup is as follows,I have a simple table with two columns, transaction_id, document_urlThis document url field will contain a url which would return a pdf when called.Now, I want to have a screen similar to the following (this is something basic I cooked up for testing), The idea is when I land on this page, I want to see the result of that url in the embedded browser.I tried setting the document_url field as a webbrowser type field. But this didn’t yield the expected outcome, I also noticed the following option when adding fields and attempted with this, This field, in the web client, always shows me the homepage of the applciation regardless of what I set in the url field in the properties, Having said that, it seems to work correctly in the smart client, So this is where I am at.Is this a bug on the web client?Anything I am missing?

Hi Experts,I have a requirement of triggering an integration upon clicking a hyperlink. The only way I could think of going about this is by attaching a client script to a text field and setting the lookup navigation of that field such that it shows a hyperlink.For example: and the client script is attached as following,the above setup yields in a hyperlink, but clicking on this doesn’t trigger the client scriptI tried various configurations for the lookup navigation, and my observation was that whenever the Trigger is set as hyperlink, client scripts don’t get triggered.The only way I could get the client script to trigger was with the following setup, but the flipside is, this doesn’t yield a hypelink anymore, So this is where I am at. Any ideas on how to get the desired requirement working? is it possible at all?P.S I saw a similar question raised here which is still unanswered

Hi Experts,We added the field asset_id under the products tab of request. This asset_id field belongs to the product entity. When we edit this field on the smart client and save, the value gets saved and is reflected on the product screen. If we try to do the same on the web client, this value doesn’t get saved. Clicking the save button does nothing. When we try to move away from that request we are asked “Do you want to save the changes?”. Upon clicking yes the screen reloads and whatever the change we made for the asset_id field is gone (i.e field not saved). Is this a bug?

Hi Experts,This a curvy one. One of our customers uses Intune to manage the fsm mobile app for android. What we have observed is that when the app is pushed from intune (managed), the gps data is not coming through. When the app is sideloaded (unmanaged), the gps data comes through without an issue. This leads us to think that this could be some Intune setting, permission that would allow location data to be picked.Have any of you run into to this before?
Hi Experts,There’s a question from a customer (who’s on IFS managed cloud) on bulk importing rdlc files. As far as I know rdlc files have to be uploaded one by one for each report on the reports admin screen. They are querying whether it’s possible to speed this up. Some thoughts,Is it possible to use Odata to send in the rdlc files with perform_upload_report ? Is it possible to get access to the relevant cloud location and push the files directly ? (does this do the same thing as upload report? )Thanks in advance

Hi Experts,One of our customers have the authentication set up to allow both FSM and OIDC. The app param FSM_AUTHENTICATION_METHODS is set to OIDC, FSM.The users belonging to their organization login with SSO whereas subcontractors login with username and password (fsm auth). Recently they ran into the issue of the mobile not synching with the server when the password was expired for the person , despite the user (belonging to the same organization in this case) having logged in successfully via SSO.So the query was raised whether it’s possible to disregard the password expiry for the users who have SSO enabled. Or whether it was possible to enable only SSO on a user by user basis (i.e not even show the fsm login option). I couldn’t find a way to configure the above, and hence would appreciate if any of you could shed some light on this.
