The system is erroneously using Standard Cost instead of Cost from Labor Class

One of the customers am working with have observed the following. Would request your assistance to help solve this issue. Note the customer is running application 9. The system is retrieving costs erroneously from Standard Costing for Employee Category when it should be using costs from the labor class. Flow to re-create the issue: 1. Have labor class set up for both run time and overhead costs. 2. Have employee set up for Employee Category General. 3. Have Standard Costs set for Employee Category General different than labor class so you can be sure what the system is doing. 4. Make sure that Company Details for Company i.e X are not checked to use Employee Costs. (This would be the signal to use Standard Cost) 5. Make sure that Site is not Checked for Override Employee Costs This determines which labor class costs the system should use. 6. Prolonged lead time Manufactured part

A customer raised the following concern in Application 10:“Earliest Unlimited Supply Date” used for Purchase Parts, applied/functioning for Manufactured parts. What is the feature in the application which handles “Earliest Unlimited Supply Date” but for manufactured parts?We must be able to visualize short-term disturbances i.e. prolonged lead times for manufactured parts, more or less the same idea/logic as for Purchased parts.Example/scenario:The standard lead time is 10d for manufacture. part X.When the production planned to finalize the production schedule it outlines that the shop order (best possible) is planned to be finished on day 15 = true lead time is 15d as the SO can’t be improved.Standard lead time could not be kept/respected. At this point, the production planner must be able to indicate a prolonged lead time -> update the “EUSD” (if that was doable) acc. to the scheduled SO to show the current plannable lead time for new demands. Project Gantt Performance Issues

The customers that am working with raised the following question. Would like to request your feedback and advice to assist the customer. Description: Project Gantt Performance Issues To move one activity without saving or scheduling takes 1 minutes and 9 seconds a time. 3 minutes to save saving before scheduling; 1 minute to schedule on only 4 activity changes and a further 3 minutes 17 seconds to save the scheduled changes. Effectively looking at up to 9-10 minutes per overall change and the business currently makes daily changes due to various reasons. If I had to move 120 linked activities that would be 2 hours work?! Project deliverables from the project, the project ID is not defaulting

The customer experiences the following issue and would like your advice on a resolution. Issue Encountered: When we create project deliverables from the project, the project ID is not defaulting. Issue to re-create: 1) Go to Project window. (Project Management > Plan and Excute > Project) 2) Right mouse button on the header and select the option > Project Deliverables > Create new 3) It opens the window Project Deliverables Definition window. Where the Project ID is left blank. 4) Even after saving the issue seems to be present.

Kanban Reorder point does not create transport task line to move a part/lot batch no from a location with different or no availability controls id to the destination location. Not all the stock is to be available for MRP or automatic reservation; this is achieved by the application of availability controls ids. It is then sometimes necessary to replenish either the maintenance or research location (Kanban or manually) and it not possible to move if only one lot/batch is in stock.With the new tick box in the Site > Extended Site info > Inventory > Transport task tabA new tick was introduced, [ Allow Deviating Part Availability Control] it enables the transport task to be executed irrespective of what availability control ID in source and destination location.This was only valid for manually created transport tasks.A customer is looking for this same control for a transport task created via Kanban replenishment. (auto). Would like your feedback in handling this scenario?

Delete button for NCR

One customer that am handling is looking for a quotation to add a “delete” button for NCR. Customer mentions the following:We need to be able to remove incorrectly reported cases from the system (like we do in DocMan). Same goes for CAPA cases, where we also have some test cases that were logged in production environment by mistake. We also need to be able to remove these.The delete option should only be available for our global SuperUsers. Would like some quick suggestions ?

Non consumed items with the quantities in APP9

A quick functional question related to DOP which I encountered with one of the customers. Questions: In APP9 DOP orders have the non-consumed items with the quantities. More specifically, unlike in APP8, when we bring in DOP structures in APP9, the structures come in with quantity for all non-consumed components. Like your advice and view point on this regards.

Supplier material on a purchase order

The following question was raised by a customer: The customer would like to know if there is a way to include supplier material on a purchase order for an outside service. The customer encounters a scenario where another inventory part will need to be send to a supplier during an outside service (i.e. Heat treating). The customer would like to use supplier material for this, since it will never be charged to the supplier. When I attempt to make a product structure for the purchase part, I am unable to create the record for because there is no revision no (assuming this is because the outside service part is WIP and not inventory.) Is there any way to accomplish this?

QA trigger for production scheduled parts

One of my customers are encountering the following issue. Would like your advice and feedback on the below issue. Use of QA trigger for production scheduled parts We are using IFS Production Schedules and would like to create QA control plans systematically for the QA analysis. IFS Control plans do not work for IFS production scheduled parts. Question: How can we create automatic creation of QA control plans for QA with using IFS Production schedules for the manufacturing process? Error Message: Sample Frequency trippers cannot be used for production schedule parts Test plan 1. Create a manufactured part that will be produced by a production schedule 2. Create a QA control plan for the part 3. Attempt to create Sample Frequency Trigger (tab) a. Any parameters b. Save and note error message Are there other alternatives to create the control plan? Problem with the blank table - Posting Control

One of the customers that am working on encountered the following scenario: Background: When adding a new line on the Posting Control Details Specification Screen, the Work Center For Routing List Of Values dialogue is blank. When clicking Populate, and error appears "missing expression: Failed executing query (ORA-00936: missing expression)". If the work center is manually typed in, the rest of the data related to the work center will appear. It is only not available in the LOV. Steps to recreate scenario: 1. Go to “Posting Control” and Search for M209 RMB on M209 for Dept and click “Details” 2. In the Details window, click on Indirect Job per Site 200|120 which uses C47 for the Specification Control Type. Select “Details Specification”. 3. In the Details Specification window, create a new line (+ or F5). 4. Use the List of Values to obtain a Work Center value - a blank table opens! 5.
