Hello,I have a bit of an odd one.We have managed to cancel a customer order line that had an open, unreported pick list against it.I didn’t think the system would allow this, but now the order line is showing as cancelled, but the order line parts still show as reserved and on a pick list..I’ve tried cancelling the pick list to clear the reservation, but I get an error saying the pick list cannot be reported for customer order line objects is status cancelled. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can clear the pick list and reservation? We are on Apps 10 UPD 8. Many thanks,Steph.
Hello,My company is thinking about implementing Project so we are currently testing out how that would work for us.I have some test data that I am working on and would like to understand why PMRP is raising purchase requisitions and material transfer requests in the way that it has. In the screenshot below, I have a component that has demands across 2 projects (marked red/blue). There are 2 activities with demand in the red project, and one in the blue project. I have 5000 pieces in stock under standard inventory. There is no lot size or safety stock set on the component part, and it has an order cover time of 60 days to group demand. I ran PMRP per Project PNG. I have sharing allowed within project but not across the two separate projects. I think I understand how the red project has been handled. The purchase requisition has been raised for the total demand across all the project activities. It is linked to the last activity, so there are planned MTRs to transfer the required stock t
Hello, Does anybody know if there is a way to add a component to a product structure with a quantity per batch rather than a quantity per assembly? As far as I know we can only put parts on a structure with a qty per assembly, so this will always be multiplied up by the lot size on any shop orders. We have a scenario where we need to use just 1 piece of a certain component per shop order loaded, regardless of lot size. All I have been able to come up with so far is adding the part on to the product structure with a very small fractional qty per (0.00000001). Since our inventory part UoM in this instance is ‘PCS’, when a shop order is loaded, the allocation is rounded up to 1 - provided the lot size isn’t big enough to make it any more! I just wondered if I was missing anything that would handle this in a better way, and not rely on UoM or lot size to allow it to work? Many thanks, Steph.
Hello,We are a UK based company, currently on IFS Apps 10. We have been live on the system for about 3 years now, but want to look at expanding our use of IFS to include the HR Module. We were just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for partners/consultants that could help us with the implementation process? Many thanks,Steph.
Hello,Is anyone able to explain exactly how the system calculates the earliest start date when doing the ‘Update ESD According to Material Availability’ function in a shop order?I have read the IFS help page and tried playing around with several examples in our test system, but I’m struggling to understand how it works out the date it chooses. We are on Apps 10 UPD 8.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,Steph.
Hello,We have a scenario where we need to transfer some of our inventory to be held in long term storage using a third party storage facility. We would then transfer some of that stock back to our location on an annual basis, based on forecasted demand. We will still own the material, and we want to be able to see the quantity of parts held in stock at that location so that MRP doesn’t try to plan any new purchases. However, we would need to allow a lead time of say 2 weeks to allow the transfer of any material back to our site. If we had some unexpected demand pop up, we wouldn’t want the stock at the off-site location to show as immediately available.I was looking into the use of remote warehouses & transport tasks to cover this. We have never used these so don’t have any experience with the set up etc. We are a single site company and have always maintained our inventory on site, as company owned material.I created a new remote warehouse with an availability control & transf
