Hi, My colleagues and I noticed some time ago that some system forms, such as the Building form, cannot be edited (at least from the customizer). Is there a workaround to this, or a way to modify it? Similarly, is there a way to create custom lookups on tables that aren’t the Item, Cost Center, or Contact User tables? We haven’t found a way to do this yet, but it would prove very useful. Our environment uses assyst 11.2.3. Thanks!
Hello I would like to know if there is anyway I can print out a “String” based on the parent task field value $CURRENT_VALUE + “Reporter Name” + $new.affectedUser.name +"<br>" + "Technology = "+ $new.parentEvent.W("TECHNOLGY").name +"<br>"+ "Start Date = "+ $new.parentEvent.W("ACCESS_START_DATE") +"<br>"+"TEMPORARILY_ACCESS"+" == "+ $new.parentEvent.W("TEMPORARILY_ACCESS") So basically what I’m trying to do rather than the users in each task have to access the main record I want to output the fields directly from the parent ticket into the tasks, which I have done successfully, my problem is the field “Technology” as it is a single select field and act as a visibility filter based on value for multiple WebCustomGroups on the same form, which have additional or different fields besides the common details so I would like to show a different text output for each value of “Technology”right now most fields on the form shows as NO VALUE when called via the expression a
How to Single Select Fields on submission Form to be populated in Additional Fields or Runtime Parameters in Event Search ?
Please correct me if this expression is wrong ! if ($new.affectedUser.manager.manager.assystUserAlias.shortCode = $NO_VALUE, $CURRENT_VALUE, $new.affectedUser.manager.assystUserAlias.shortCode) This expression is to take approval from Manager of Manager (VP). Thanks
How to use AssystRest to insert a batch of events?
I feel like I should be able to glean this from the wiki but all my attempts are coming to nothing. We want to put the Actioning user (or failing that the assigned user) name into an Action Template as people are not always signing off with their name when left to their own devices. Any help on finding the right variable name would be much appreciated.
I am trying to pull an event’s itemB’s userChar fields using Rest and note that the uri below only presents the API with the basic/ standard information set in the connected items.http://<Server>:<Port>/assystREST/v2/events/10183439?fields=affectedUser[],itemA[],itemB[]I have tried explicitly calling the field in the web request uri with no luck.?fields=affectedUser[],itemA[],itemB[userFieldChar12]This information appears if we run a second pull using the item id extracted from the event, but that seems a bit wasteful and we are able to pass it in from the AP as a parameter if necessary. But I was wondering if anyone was already doing this and whether you might be able to give me some pointers? Thanks in advance.
Hello. I’d like to replace smart mail with email action for managing email templates and so on. I noticed that it works fine for actions starting from assyst Portal. However, I could not replicate such behavior for events logged from self service portal by end users. My guess is that when contact users are logging events, they do not select an email template. Nonetheless, if there’s something like a system parameter for such use case, I guess we’d be able to substitute Smart Mail with Email Actions.Am I right or is there something else I should know?
