Hi all,If a base form granted to a LTU permission set is customized then we need to add this customized form also to the permission set. Else, users granted to this permission set will not be able to access the form itself since the dictionary will now have the entry for the customized form and the application by default displays the customized form instead of the base form but it is not granted to the permission set. The license team from IFS confirmed that whenever we do modifications to a LTU permission set, you need to send it for license generation again.The below post contains the steps on modifying the LTU permission set.
Hi,We found the solution as described in the below post:Here is the summary of steps:In order to edit a LTU permission set which is connected to a license:Go to the permission set screen and search for your LTU permission set. RMB > Remove License Connection The system prompts to convert the users using this permission set to Full License Users. Click Yes. This removes the license connection. Make necessary changes to the LTU permission set Export the updated permission set as LTU Send the exported file to IFS [License.Generation@ifs.com] for new license generation Apply the new license in ProductionNote: We need to follow the same steps each time you need to add or remove any object grant from the LTU permission set.
Hi,We found that issue is due to the special characters in the Notes of PO lines. We removed these special characters and the report is run successfully.
@NickPorter Okay, will check with IFS account manager as suggested.Thanks a lot for your responses 🙂
Hi @NickPorter ,We created a LTU permission set and generated license for it. Now we want to modify this permission set but it is not allowing us to.
Hi @Hypervox ,As per your information, we should get the same information for all users logging into the application with user IFSAPP. But it is not the case.Only few of us get this error when we log into the application from our laptops with the super user IFSAPP. For others who logs into the application on their laptops with the same user IFSAPP, they do not get the error even though they too did not provide the value for the field Price UoM.
Hi @Yasas Kasthuriarachchi,Could you please confirm that each time we customize a standard form, we have to get a new license key? Thanks in Advance.
Hi @ZTC ZTC JGOTA ,We have a Test environment which we first refreshed with Production data. Then we took the export of permission set from this refreshed Test and sent to IFS for License key generation.Now in the Production, to grant the LTU permission set to these new customized forms in the “Presentation Objects by Navigator”, the RMB options are disabled. How to handle this?
Hi @DINSLK,IFS said that if we use .NET print agent then there should not be any problem. But we have downgraded to Java version of print agent. So IFS could not investigate the issue.If your client is on .NET print agent, may be IFS can help you if you raise a case to them. Note: IFS said that if we provide the no of copies in the print dialog when printing a report from RMB of any screen, then there would not be 2 pdfs in the report archive. Instead the printer will directly print the number of copies you have provided.
@ShawnBerk Thank you for the info.
Hi @ShawnBerk ,IFS has given the feasibility to modify the underlying search for child windows. Then why not provide it for the parent form?
@Kelum Pradeep Kumara The workaround was the first solution that came to the mind, but this will not meet our requirement. Raised a case to IFS long back but there is no reply from them. IFS should give us the feasibility to be able to print multiple copies. Let’s wait and see what IFS has to say.
@Kelum Pradeep Kumara Did you try running the above script with Client_SYS.Add_To_Attr('COPIES', 2, attr_); ? Were you able to see two records in Report Archive?
@Kelum Pradeep Kumara Yes, I am using APPS10 UPD10
@Kelum Pradeep Kumara I tried as suggested. In the report archive, I could still see only 1 report.
