(Current) Degree of Occupation in Employment Period Details

Hi Shehan,Thanks for your reaction. Yes, of course, that makes sense!I was confused by the word ‘Current’. Normally, in that section, you see the actual (‘current’) employment period on the first row, and in that case you would expect the ‘Current Degree of Occupation’ to be shown next to that period range. And since the second row is showing the start date of the earliest employment and the end date of the last employment (i.e. more or less the total employment period), you would expect the degree of occupation on that same row to represent some kind of average instead of the actual/current degree of occupation.I must try to think simpler ;-) Thanks again.Best reards,Martin

code/logic that is used to bypass the vacant position in graphical organisation structure

Hi,The logic behind this is fairly simple.In previous versions, the supervisor shown on the tab Summary of the Employee File would be the employee linked to the next higher position within the same organizational unit or above. If that next higher position would be vacant, you wouldn’t see a supervisor on the Summary tab. That was it.Now, in case of a vacancy, the ‘next next’ higher position is checked or the ‘next next next’ etc., until an occupied higher position is found, either in the organizational unit of the employee or in one of the higher organizational units (in bottom-up sequence).This enables the creation of an extremely simple position structure, i.e. a simple diagonal, only reflecting the management levels.BR,Martin

Hi Mathias,Thanks for your reaction. I have added the code you mentioned, but I cannot see a message. What I do notice, is that the system doesn't automatically open Word anymore. When I open the document manually, I still see the wrong values.As for the attributes: I have kept it very simple. It was a first test in order to give the customer an impression of what we are able to. Note, that I have defined two date fields: a custom field (the jubilee hire date) and a core field (birth date). In both cases, the shown values are wrong.

Absence Request is in UNLINKED status

Hi Malin,The status becomes Unlinked, when the associated absence registration is modified or removed. After all, that modification/removal results in a difference between the original, authorized absence request and the subsequent registration.

Maybe (part of) the reasons for leaving have previously been migrated? After all, the error message is referring to an internal, invisible attribute value.

LTU for 22R1 Document Management

Hi,The need for a separate LTU for DocMan might be doubtful in the context of the present LTU approach. In the past, a user could have several LTUs at the same time without being a full user. Now, if I'm not mistaken, you can only have a single LTU, and in any other case the customer has to pay for a full license.Best regards,Martin

Hi,This is caused by a lack of privileges in the access role of the person/employee linked to the user.In the Access Attribute window you can see Employee Payment as one of the components. There you can add an attribute, if it’s not there already. Subsequently, you assign that attribute to the appropriate access role(s).BR,Martin

Add work country in time registration window

Hi Malin,I haven't implemented it myself (yet), but maybe you can achieve this by using the Job Rate Management functionality. That has been introduced a couple of years ago, based on requirements of the US market: in some states, the location where the work has been performed, has an impact on the employee salary.Hopefully an American colleague can confirm that and tell you more about the details.Best regards,Martin

Hi Justin,When you want to change something in the position structure from a specific date (in the past or the future), you have to make sure to first enter the desired earliest validity date in the header of the page Graphical Position Structure. In that case, all changes that you make by using drag and drop will become valid from that date onwards.BR,Martin

Wait a minute - do you want to assign another position to an employee or do you want to change the position structure?If you want to change the position structure (as I thought when initially answering your question), you first have to change the User Date into the date on which the change has to become effective, prior to using drag & drop.If you want to assign another position to an employee, then you don’t do that in the Graphical Position Structure, but in the Employee File or with the assistant Single Employee Assignments.

Well, if the employee data are imported from a third party HCM application, then things might be different indeed, mainly depending on the hierarchical structure in the master application. Worst case scenario is a change in the position structure parallel to a change in the organization/position assignment. Since the exact circumstances have to be known, it’s hard to advise in this case.Nevertheless, you could try to undo the erroneous changes. If you made the wrong corrections yesterday, you should change the User Date in the header of the Graphical Position Structure to 15-02-2023 and then change things back to what they were before.Subsequently, you can change the User Date on that page again, now to the date on which the correct changes have to become effective, and then make those correct changes in the position structure.Note as well, that you should regenerate the position access after changing the position structure.

Hi,There is no possibility to change the person ID of an employee. If the person ID connected to the employee is wrong, you’ll have to delete the employee data completely (bottom up) and re-enter the employee with the correct person ID.

Hi,In that case, you’ll first have to sum all relevant registrations, e.g. using a fake wage code for calculations only (not visible for the end user), and to compare the calculated sum (instead of the normal hours only) with the scheduled hours. For this, you can use the Additional Result Calculation Definition as well.Here is an example of summarizing wage code registrations (Z999 is the fake wage code):In the end, you would compare the value of Z999 with the scheduled hours (just like the example in my first answer).Best regards,Martin
