An employee was created with an incorrect spelling on his surname and it requires correcting and due to the way Person Records are created a New Person Record is required to show the correct spelling also.

 

How can we update the Employee File to show correct name and to link to a new person ID without having to create the Employee again with a new Employee Number?

Hi,

There is no possibility to change the person ID of an employee. If the person ID connected to the employee is wrong, you’ll have to delete the employee data completely (bottom up) and re-enter the employee with the correct person ID.
