You should ask the candidate which IFS office they worked for and then the appropriate contact would be the local HR office in IFS for the relevant IFS office. Hopefully you can receive all this information from the candidate.

We do utilize the custom objects in IEE right now, I was under the impression we could go a step farther using IFS developer studio and add our own code into the business logic, is that something we can do or am I mistaken with that? Hi, the code for your IFS installation for Apps10 is stored in a source code repository at IFS, you are not able to make any changes to this yourself directly in your system. It may breach your support agreement and additionally if you did any changes to the PLSQL logic for example then it may get over-written the next time IFS delivers code to you (if the code changes the same APIs). I would recommend you speak to your local IFS representatives to get the best options on what you can do to achieve what you want to do with your system so that you do not cause yourself any needless difficulties. I am guessing you are referring to IFS Developer Studio. I do not think it is a requirement to use this to create a transformer. You can create an XSL transformer using any tool you want quite easily. For a Java transformer it may require some sort of development tool however.
I believe there are Keymapping programs in Windows that can change a key to be mapped to something else. If this is a major problem that is another option.
I do not think it works to convert the OVA into a Hyper-V, I heard it attempted once and it did not work. And it not being a supported platform at the moment I would not recommend you do it.At present I would think you are best to use what is supported, meaning VMWare. I am afraid I do not know when/if Hyper-V will be supported for use. Hopefully someone else can help on that.

I think you will need to provide a bit more detail on what you have done and how in order for us to be able to help you with what may have gone wrong.If needed you should be able to engage with your local IFS contact or Partner and get some assistance on some best practices on how to clone your Production environment into a new Test environment.
I understand those to be Configurations because you as the IFS user can make them, whereas Customisations are things that IFS develop and get deployed e.g. via a Delivery or packages which change how IFS itself works. Perhaps someone more experienced than me can clarify if this is correct Garak, you are absolutely correct.
Hi, you should be using the IFS Application Forms Development tool when doing any EE client changes. I am assuming you are aware of this and use it? Information can be found in the “Development Tools” section of the F1 Documentation.
Using the IFS Terms anything in the application can be translated to a different language or the existing text can be changed to something else. Contact your local IFS contact and they should be able to help you how to best proceed.

Actually I know two ways: Report the modification to the harvest system at IFS or Replace your modification at every update of Apps Regards, Burkhard Hi, Just as a brief note on this discussion, it is not allowed to edit CORE IFS code and it will likely invalidate your support agreement should any issues occur due to it. I would recommend you do not go down this route. If you need a change to the CORE part of the application you should do this as a formal modification so that you are sure you don't have any problems with your installation and its support. The custom package will always be overwritten when recreated so putting a code change in there is not practical, CallumW’s suggestion seem to me to be a valid suggestion that works without introducing undue risk to your IFS installation.
