Returning Inventory - No PO Tied

As of now we don’t have any option for returning inventory parts to suppliers which do not have purchase references attached. Any way we can accept returns from customers even without CO references with RMA functionality.But there may be some improvements to supplier shipment functionality to accommodate this kind of scenarios in future.I can suggest one other option. This will not be a solution as well. But I thought t would be worth to mention .Use “Issue inventory part” window.You can simply issue the require qty from the inventory. Then you can add a note or something like that for auditing requirements. the physical movement of goods to the supplier has to be done separately. However in this scenario “NISS” transactions will be created.

Have you tried assigning rankings for Putaway zones from Inventory part window?I have not tested this however think this will help you in some scale.

Hi @Anushka B Can you help in resolving above query. Hi @Mirali,As far as I’m aware, an Fixed Asset cannot be handled through a material requisition.As @PUMCCAPPER has mentioned above he “Rotable Part Pool” functionality may be help you to achieve your requirement.Sorry that I’m not a expert on that matter and unable to give you a comprehensive answer for this.

Intersite Process - Cost update

Hi Anushka, thanks for the reply. This does work for the parts with weighted average as inventory valuation method. But the problem is, that some parts are required to use the standard cost valuation method. Is there a solution for that as well? Thanks, Golo When using standard cost method, you can define cost in inventory part. Cost could be manually calculated/estimated and then entered as an Estimated Material Cost.Or, the first receipt will set the standard cost. (PO price or entered amount).That value will be used to Inventory Value calculations until it changed manually.If you have same cost value defined in inventory part, for both sites, the cost in the inventory transaction history will not differ.

Received – Not Yet Invoiced Report

Pease check if the Closed Date is updated on the cancelled receipt. If it is not, that can be the reason for showing this on the Received not Yet Invoiced Report.As per the standard functionality, the closed date should be updated when cancelling the receipts.May be it was not updated at this time due to a some uncertain reason.This can be fixed from a data repair by updating the closed date.I have checked and unable find a bug causing this issue.

Intersite Process - Cost update

There is a check box 'Use Transit Balance Posting' in Company window > Distribution tab > Inventory tab.It determines whether balancing postings are to be created between inventory (M1) and transit (M3) posting types. When using the inventory valuation methods: Weighted Average, First In First Out (FIFO), or Last In First Out (LIFO), an imbalance can appear between M1 and M3. By using these posting types the imbalance can be cleared.Then the TRANSIBAL postings are now added to the receipt or issue transaction that causes the weighted average inventory value to be recalculated.Here is a previous RnD explanation given on same matter.“ If you have not set up to Use Transit Balance Postings, it is true that when you analyze M1 and M3 separately, there will not be a zero balance after all parts have been issued in the referred example. Automatically append a message on Customer Order Confirmation

You can set up Document text for that.This provides the option to print extra text on a Customer Order Confirmation.Document Text requires Basic Data to be setup. This can be done in Application Base Setup / General Data / Document Text Administration. Error message when printing an invoice

This error may be due to some invalid report layouts exists in your environment. Please check below point:Go to report definition window Search by report id : CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REPSee whether there are report layouts with two extensions (.rdl and .xsl).xsl is a obsolete type in app 9 and it can't be used in app 9If so you need have the layout type with .rdl extension in the report definition window to print the report correctly.However I would advise you to raise a support case to IFS support and get the assistance to identify the exact issue behind this.

CO Line from DO default Supply Code

I have checked previously reported similar casesHere is the RnD explanation given on a such issue.“ According to the existing functionality, this is how Distribution Order is designed. Distribution orders are used for moving inventory parts between sites. The supply code is hard coded as 'Invent Order' and it basically expect goods to be ready at the supply side inventory. If the supply code of the intended part is some thing other than 'Invent Order', this should be handled as a separate process. Eventually required quantity supposed to be in the inventory. This is also stated in the documentation. Note: the internal customer order lines are created with a supply code set to Inventory Order. The supply code will be set to Inventory Order regardless of how the sourcing option is set on the sales part. Training Material: Released customer order lines are created on the supply site with a default supply code set to Inventory Order. The supply code will be set to Inventory Order regardles

Sales Quotation error

I have searched in the knowledge data base for similar, previously reported cases. I was not able to find a such scenario which prompts this error message while converting a Sales quotation Customer order.I think it would be better to raise a support case and get some assistance.

There are 2 scenarios that this issue can occur. Please check below examples and see which cases your issue. However above bug will solve the issue if you get the error as per one of below mentioned test plans.Basic data settingsEnterprise / Company /Company In Invoice tab /Supplier Invoice workflow sub tab check the parameter “Validations at Posting Entry” Then go to Accounting Rules /Code String /Account Query Account 6212 and Code Part Demands tab set Mandatory for “Cost Cent” and “Code Cx”.Test PlanScenario 1 Existing line – Erroneous error handling1. Purchase Order Change Order -Where to use and why

A Purchase Order Change Order is used to manage changes to a released and authorized Purchase Order. The Purchase Order Change Order allows you to keep track of changes made between Purchase Order Revisions and to invoke Authorization for these changes. The option to enforce Change Management on a Purchase Order can be set per Site, but can be overridden per individual Supplier. The Change Order shows the quantities and amounts of the changed fields. It has its own Change Number for reference. PO Change Order has its own flow, using its own statuses: Planned, Released, Authorized, PO Updated, Cancelled Once the Change order is in the status Released, the changes can be replicated to the Purchase Order. RMB in the header and select ‘Update Purchase Order’.Hope this will help you.

Enter a PO line for part A. RMB Supplier Material from the PO line and enter part B and C with Qty/Assembly 1. Release and send the PO, Reserve the Supplier Material and Ship Supplier Material. PR Authorization based on total amount of PR?

I have checked in latest UPD (UPD 10) of APP 10 and it is not possible.Still it is not allowing to do PR authorization on the total PR amount. It is considering the PR line amount.This similar concern has been previously reported to RnD and see below for their explanation.“The authorization for a Purchase Requisition is checked line by line which is clearly mentioned in the help documentation. Therefore this is working as designed. why can we enter invoices for cancelled po's

Same issue has been previously reported to RnD and below is RnD explanation on that.Issue:Cancelled PO part line can be invoiced in Manual Supplier Invoice. This behavior is misleading. RnD Explanation (Solution ID: 263748):“The Show All button will only display purchase order receipts that have either been invoiced or are pending invoicing. It will not show part/ no part lines that have been cancelled or are pending receipt. In the reported issue it is possible to identify which line of the purchase order is being displayed in the Match PO Receipts dialog by referring to the columns Receipt No, Line No and Release No (when the show all button is selected).The Receipt Qty/Price Qty to Match is zero in this situation as the quantity on Line 1 of the purchase order has been invoiced in total. Once the user attempts to match the same purchase order line for the second time the Status Detail Info will display the following information "No matching has been conducted. Either line matching i

When the Request type is: Quotation Request, 'Requisition to Order' RMB option is not available.Change the Request type to ‘Purchase Request’. Then the 'Requisition to Order' RMB option will be available.

I think you have followed below step to get above issue.Created a requisition for a part and release the line RMB and select 'Requisition to Request' Then Canceled the Request RMB the requisition part line >> 'Requisition to Order' remains greyed out.The reason for the issue is as belowThe default value for the 'Request Type' field in the Requisition lines is 'Purchase Request'. When the request type is 'Purchase Request', users can process the requisition line via either 'requisition to order' or 'requisition to request'.But once a user creates a Request (via requisition to request), at this point the 'Request Type' field gets set to 'Quotation Request'. This only allows processing the requisition line via 'requisition to request'. This is why the 'requisition to order' option is greyed out.Therefore in this case if you would like to convert the line directly to a PO, please change the value of 'Request Type' column in PR line back to 'Purchase Request'.Hope this will solve your

As far as I know, there is no specific window to return parts to a supplier which are not connected to a PO.But I can suggest you to register that same supplier as a Customer. Then you can raise a customer order and deliver those part to that supplier.Hope this will help you.
