HelloWhen I buy used parts, some have the Time Since New written as ”UNK”.TSN : UNK　,　CSN : UNKHow do you register parts whose time information is unknown?

How to prevent a deferral in MTX by JOB STOP for a Mechanic

In AF/KL organisation the MOC approval for deferral is not used.The JOB STOP is allowed for ALL The Select reference is is allowed for ALL.Then a Mechanic without CRS can defer any fault in the system, the MINOR / MAJOR DEFER permission are not working with the New DEFERRAL PROCESS. See the conflict in the table below,  What is your recomment ded permission setting to prevent a Mechanic to defer an fault? Thanks   Mechanic Technician OCC Comments CRS Rights NO YES YES   Does he need to SELECT a REFERENCE? We, the ET MRO Planning section, are in need of a long-range Gantt chart generator to support our slot availability analysis. The tool should ideally include: Indicators or warnings when plans exceed available capacity Labels or alerts when overlapping work package plans exist We have reviewed the following options: Long Range Planner (from the Heavy Planner to-do list) Fleet Planner Planning Viewer (From Line Planner to-do list) We would like to request the IFS team’s recommendation or insights:Which of these tools-or any others-would best meet our needs for long-range planning, slot management, and overlap detection?

Attaching Reserved Parts to Handling Units

Hello everyone, I’m facing a error when attaching reserved parts to Handling Units.On a CAMRO process, when we do the disposition we are not being allowed to choose an Handling Unit if we didn’t choose it previously on the disassembly side. Even after putting the Part into stock, giving him a disposition code, since the part is automatically reserved for the assembly side, we still can’t attach it to an Handling Unit.Does anyone have a solution for this ? Many Thanks,Bruno Martins

Tracking wheels and brakes in Maintenix

Southwest Airlines is currently does not track wheel and brake inventory within Maintenix.  We are exploring the possibility of adding the inventory.I am reaching out to other Maintenix users on if they manage their wheel and brake tracking within Maintenix?  And any pros and cons you may have on it.

Unable to create Material requirements for use in a Component Repair Order

We’re trying to map a scenario in which a Customer returns a Product to our client for modification / remanufacturing. It has been proposed that we consider the use of Component Repair Orders rather than Remanufacturing Shop Orders for this, but although we’ve created a Repair Order for our Part:CRO Repair Orderand have created the Repair for the work: RepairBut we can find no way of linking any of the Materials we will be using to complete the Remanufacturing work to this Repair Order, nor of any way to be able to issue the Serialized item for our Part out if stock to the Repair OrderCan anyone advise of how this can be done?

Use a different user for Jaspersoft Keycloak Super Admin

Hi,Does anyone know whether it’s possible to use any created cloud user as the Keycloak Super Admin? For example, currently it is advised to set the user as “ifsadmin” via the ifscloud-values yaml file, could I potentially create a user in Cloud first like “ReportAdmin” and use that as the admin?It appears even if you assign a user the Administrator or Super user roles within Jaspersoft, it still does not give them the full permissions (like the ‘Manage' menu) to upload & manage reports. Using a Workflow to update Report Operational Log records

Hello,When I use an Activity and set the Action to "Update" for a recordset, I encounter an error that has the following statement:"A-20110: SerialOperLog.NOMODIFY: Modify not allowed. Use Serial_Oper_Log_Util_API.Calculate_Serial_Oper_Log"It should be stated that this is a recoredset that I can successfully read from.I would like guidance on how to proceed.If I use an Activity and set the Action to "Call",  then set the "API Name" to "Serial_Oper_Log_Util_API" as the error would suggest I do, I get an error ..."Metadata for requested projection resource [Serial_O per_Log_Util_API] is not found."And here is the screen showing the data I am trying to enter using a workflow…   Here is the Activity from the Workflow that generates the error…  …  if I adjust the Activity to be of Action “Read” I can successfully read the records. Another part of this question is how to find out what options I have for entering in a “Call Name”, when I set the Action to “Call” and I do know the “API Name”.

No access management of data in Engineering except Permissions

Has anyone that has implemented Engineering found it an issue that there is no access management of data in Engineering except for Permissions ?  (Nothing like company in Finance or Ste in SCM)  We are implementing into a group of companies in the defence industry and they find it unacceptable due to IP constraints to share the data between companies.If anyone has a good work around or CRIM developed for this challenge I would like to hear about it.

CAMRO Purchase Order Connection to Project

Hi all, Apparently it is not possible to connect a purchase order line with demand code ‘interim order’ to a project activity. Only demand codes Inventory Order and Non-Inventory Order are allowed to connect. Is there a reason why this works this way? Trying to figure out the implications this might have. Is there some kind of workaround that I am missing?

Customer Owned and Supplier Loaned materials are not considered by MSO, MRP and Shop Order Planning in IFS CAMRO solution:

I have created DSO> Proved with repair order.         Go to the relevant assembly shop order and observe the part is in customer owned status. Supply type MRO.  Now  this repaired part need to another engine. Now if I disconnected from the current engine that can be pegged to another engine.  on the assembly shop order, now that we have disconnected the repair order we have the material line (customer owned) that has no part reserved or in repair so we need to run MRP ... please consider to include this in a future release.

What table contains the History tab data of a task in Maintenix?

Hi! I’ve been trying to find the “History” information, shown in the picture, in the backend tables of Maintenix and I haven’t been able to find it. I appreciate any help with this. Thanks!

Maintenix database tables are missing CREATE_USER

Very often when we’re investigating why this record or row was created, in some cases it help if you can go directly to that individual. Maintenix database keeps in most of it’s tables fields like CREATION_DT (Creation Date), REVISION_DT (Revision Date) and REVISION_USER, but it’s missing the CREATION_USER.In some areas if we’re lucky and Creation Date and Revision Date matches, then we know the user who created that row in the database, if not we’re kept in the dark.Is it hard for IFS to add this field to majority of it’s table where end user is able to create an entry, like Locations etc.

Southwest Airlines is asking - Is there a way in Maintenix to duplicate multiple identical faults?

Southwest Airlines Problem Statement: During heavy checks and cabin visits, QC often has multiple identical faults to document with only slight changes to station locations or seat rows. We would like a way to create a template or duplicate faults without having to goes through all the steps of fault creation. Southwest is looking for feedback/guidance if this is currently available functionality in Maintenix.

How do other carriers manage Open/Close Panel with special instructions

South west is pursuing better processes of ensuring Panel requiring special instructions have job steps for the Mechanics to sign off.   We are seeking information if other users have developed a process for this .  As current functionality on OPEN/CLOSE panels does not allow job steps to be authored.

The relationship between IFS Cloud MRO and IFS Maintenix

Tracking MEL/Inop Seats

Southwest Airlines will soon be assigning seats, so the need to track inop seats at the actual seat number will be critical.   Currently, we track seats for each row, not at the individual seat number.  When we have a fault or an MEL, the seat in question is notated in the fault description, but we have no means of being able to select the actual seat.  How do other operators, that assign seats, track inop seats in Maintenix?  Are your seats currently tracked to the individual seats?

MRP is not able to identify the End Use of the Purchase Requisitions

When a demand is generated for materials from different Work Orders MRP is not possible to differentiate which requisition corresponds to which demand. Without the ability to connect the demand to the originating requisition, once the PR>PO is processed and the parts are received into inventory, the inventory can then be reserved by any of the WOs.This is challenging for Aerospace Industry, due to having strict controls over the parts to be used for specific work tasks. Customers are using custom fields such as “Tail No: provides the Aircraft tail number. and Demand Info - provides the WO number. in the purchase requisition lines to resolve the issue. However this leads to other challenges when the PR line contains multiple Work orders for same due date. What is expected is a soft pegging between the work tasks material demand and Purchase Requisition and the Purchase Orders, so that when the part is received to the inventory correct part is reserved to the correct demand from the W

Secured deliveries of IFS Cloud

When new deliverables is available for download, e.g. a new release, or being distributed we would like to be able to confirm that the files have not been compromised, altered or tampered, with(preferably) a digital signature* of the software files or binarys, or a checksum control of the software files or binarys.*This digital signature validates the identity of the software author or publisher and verifies that the file has not been altered or tampered with since it was signed. Is this applicable in the way described above ?
