Hi. Is it possible to make the inventory non-nettable while waiting for the transport task to be completed. We’re currently using transport tasks to transfer materials to a different location within our instance, but we’re finding it shows up in the in-transit qty category, and is viewed as available inventory ahead of it’s actual arrival to the site. Similarly, the receiving site isn’t able to see that supply coming in within MRP. Are both of those options not applicable while using the transport task function?
Hi,We are looking for a way to split a customer order line into multiple shipments (with different dates, as an example) without creating a new customer order line within the same customer order. Other ERP systems, have the ability to build shipment lines off of a single customer order line to differentiate dates and or even shipping addresses. Does IFS have this ability? If so, how is this done? We currently are using custom logic to build our shop orders from customer order lines - as a result, we want to be able to have realistic ship dates on customer order lines that are split shipping at different times, without adding a new customer order line that would ultimately fire an additional shop order. We currently wind up with false views of revenue recognition within reporting as a result of only being able to use one shipping date per customer order line. Thanks for any help/insight!
Hi,When we create a count report in IFS, it seems to only create count reports for a bin location within whatever parameters that we define where inventory exists. Is it possible to create a count report to include ALL bin locations within specific parameters to also include the empty bin locations? If not, has anyone come up with a viable solution to also be counting empty bin locations to ensure that physically something isn’t in them, but not in the system? Thanks,Curtis Carpenter
HI,Trying to easily (not tying a bunch of different reports together) and easy way to tie back the lot number of the material consumed on a shop order back to the receipt on a Purchase Order so I can specifically see the price we paid for the material consumed in specific shop orders. Does anyone know an easy way to see this within IFS? Thanks!
Hi, We are trying to drive materials in MRP based on revision dates on the product structures. We’re able to see MRP no longer planning replenishment for the material that would be phasing out beyond the phase out date of the product structure, but do not see it picking up the planning for the new raw material item based on the phase in date of the new product structure. Is this not possible in IFS? Thanks,Curtis Carpenter
Hi, Out of the blue I started receiving the error message “The forecast date cannot be less than demand time fence.” when trying to Run MS - One Part. My example, the Demand time Fence is 10 days, so the Demand Time Fence date is 7/16/2021. I’ve re-reviewed many times with other eyeballs on it as well and I have no forecast dates that are inside of 7/16/2021. Any thoughts?
I have two questions in regards to scheduling direction:How/where do you set the default for the scheduling direction on a shop order - ours currently defaults to BACKWARDS? Can the Earliest Start Date be defaulted? Currently we experience the earliest start date always being the day the shop order is created. We want to have this be the Need Date minus the cycle time from the routing. Thanks!
