Anybody who ever managed to pick up Technical Characteristics and merge them into a document using macros?If so - can you share how to set up the object connection to manage this?
I am trying to enable macros for MS Word from Demo Showroom environment 22R2. I have copied my macros from an environment also 22R2 that works - but in my demoshowroom environment - the IFS Fields are not appearing in MS WordI noticed that I got a message that Macros has been blocked. But after having enabled all macros in the MS Word Trust Center - the IFS fields are still not vissible for insert in the document.Any tips must appreciated :-) This is for a very important demo and this is a key scenario for the customer/kim
We have a customer who wants to capture really large files from Technical inspections - typically Videos and high resolution images.They have an option on running this on Appl 10, but eventually will have to move this to IFS Cloud.The files also needs to be shared with external parties on inspections where thrid party contractors are involved and the files needs to be accessible from with IFS Document Management if possible.Question is if we somehow can use a shared location for this - customer has asked if Snowflake could be a supported platform.I am not an expert in technical file sharing - so here is my question :-:I know we can store large files on shared locations - but does this also cover solutions like snowflake? If a file is entered via document management and stored on a shared location - can we then also share access to the file from share directly to external parties - like e.g. allowing a contractor to view a video stored in Snowflake (or similar) directly - as well as let
Is it possible to generate Work Orders/ Work Tasks for Contractors from PM Actions and/or Work Task Templates. If the customer want the Maintenance history in their system, but the Work Task is always executed by a Contractor, I would like to connecte the Contractor and Contractor Coordinator already from the PM generation, but I do not see these fields in the PM action.And in addition you would like a no-part line purchase requisition linked to the task, so that the Purchase Order Supplier Invoice can be matched back to the work task.Will this require configuration, or is it available within the already available business logic?/kim
HiI have in File types PDF as a View Copy file type in IFS Cloud.Apparently that prevents me from choosing PDF files when checking in a new document as original.Is there any way to come around that?Some files for example a CV from an Applicant in HR, will typically be uploaded as a PDF file from the start, and I want that checked in as a new document/kim
Hi - I have a report rule created on Apps 10 upd 9, which creates a document revision from the report and create an attachment - in my example for Sales Quotation.But for some reason the attached document is not visible in the attachment from the object itselfHave anyone experienced this before?attaching some examplesMy key refs on the report rule are: QUOTATION_NO=[@ORDER_QUOTATION_REP/QUOTATION_NO]I have a sneaky feeling it is relating to the key refs, but I am not sure how to correct it, and in the document object table, it seems to find the quotation alright..(ref attachments)
