We are planning to set up an off site for disaster recovery which includes IFS system. Anybody has done this? Do we have some best practice for the system? Any inputs or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks.Wen
We have IFS10 UPD10 and our Middleware has been working fine for almost two years.Unexpectedly, our users’ connections were refused. We’ve got the message: ‘No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 10.x.x.xxx:443’. We’ve checked the port 443 and there is no issue. When I looked into our middleware servers, MainServer1 is running fine but the IntServer1 shows as RED even though it shows as ‘RUNNING’. I had to restart the Middleware. This has happened two days in a row.So what could have caused the failing Integration server? Does anybody have any idea? Thanks!Wen
Our network admin has pushed out the extension to most of computers in our company. Users still have to go to Chrome store to enable it. Is there a way to automatically enable it to save the manual step? Thanks.Wen
I cannot find the option ‘User’ under Solution Manager/Security. There are only two options listed: User Groups, and Users. There is NO menu for User. I’ve also found that I cannot go to the User Details when choosing a user as in IEE.So where can I create a user and where could I check the details of a user account.I’ve tried as appowner.Do I miss something? or our application has missed anything? ThanksWen
Hi,We have just upgraded to IFS App10 UPD10. Many of our users complain that the new system is slower than App9. It’s intermittent. Usually when it happens, a rippling bar is moving on the top.of the page when you open it, even before running any query. Sometimes it’s quick and the page opens in a few seconds and sometimes it’s slower. In App9, these pages normally open right away when you click them. I’ve been monitoring the database and it processes all the active sessions very quickly. When checking the Middleware, the only thing I could tell: there might be some issue with the TCP connections. From scale 0-10, they are full bar in TCP connections. The connections by httpd.exe seem to have longer latency then App9, generally the remote addresses are 192.168.122.xx. When checking the monitoring console. there show two hogging threads. After I’ve stopped the PrintAgent, there is one left. I don’t think it’s by any particular user, because it’s always there. So has anybody experienced
We have just upgraded to App10 and just started testing Demand Server. One test instance has already been installed on one of our servers. Now the users would like to install another one to a different database/instance. The server name is already used as ‘Forecast Server’ for the first instance and port 5010 is also taken. So can the second Demand be installed on the same machine?ThanksWen
Has anybody encrypted a specific field inside IFS? Such as SSN for employees? Does it have to use the encryption in Oracle? Thanks.
We are upgrading to IFS app10. So far we have to install the SSL certificate on every user’s computer. It’s kind of hassle. Our network admin doesn’t like it. Is it http still available? Thanks for any inputs.
We are using IFS APP9. We are recently getting the above errors when a job for Perform Project MRP per Activity. The procedure used is ‘Pmrp_Process_API.Schedule_Mrp_Process_Act__’. I cannot find any information in the database’s alertlog. Could somebody shed some light on this? Thank you.
