Aurena – Delimiter error when selecting an equipment object for document connection

Hi, Can anyone help with below queries ? User is trying  to connect an equipment object to a document revision, whether object ID has period sign.Error raised and cannot connect the object.“Invalid use of data delimiter in object type EquipmentObject.If one of the values contains a period, you can use a comma, semicolon, or colon as a delimiter instead.” Question 1: Is there any specific reason as to why period sign needs to be avoided ? Question 2: Then as a workaround, if you connect the object using objects tab in the document revision form, object description is not displayed until you save the record. (However the object can be connected without getting the delimiter error).Is this something that should be corrected, so that user can see the description, before saving the record ? Test Flow:Open Document revision form. Error when importing Document via REST API with Chinese characters in document title

Benchmarking details related to Document Management Replication

Hi, Customer is going to use IFS HUB as their main central repository for document, and would like to know any IFS bench marking details such as: 1.      Is there any known limitation of maximum size of document which supposed to  replicate.?2.      Any known  consideration about memory allocation to IntServers in HUB and SATs with regards to size of the document to be replicate. Can we have an official answer from RnD or from any other consultant familiar in this area ?I referred “User Guide - Replication (Data Synchronization)” and Technical Documentation as well, but could not find above information. Thank you. Best Regards,Thilini

How can we exclude groups of users from receiving mails from event STEP_READY_FOR_APPROVAL

Hi, We have the event Document Ready for Approval, and one of our customer’s would like to exclude some users or group of user to receive mail from this Event. This works for one user if we define it under the conditions. The user will not get any mails. They would like to know how to exclude persons in a certain Document Group (Person group). Thanks and Best Regards,Thilini

Any plan to implement Validity concept in Document Management basic data ?

Hi,Can anyone help me with below query ?  For Apps10, IFS introduced a new generic concept for Validity in basic data.  This enables the users to control whether a specific basic data code can be used or not, and can thus help in managing when a certain code is allowed.E.g. if a code has been used, but should be discontinued, the old way of handling this has been to add something like DO NOT USE in the description, since it is not allowed to delete a code that is used.  This does however not prevent users from actually using it, and it will also present that text as part of description all places where that code has been used.  The new capability ensure that you can prevent the use of an old without having to do such actions.In Document management, the new concept is not yet implemented, leaving an inconsistent application where the users do not have the above mentioned ability to control which basic data codes that should be allowed to use or not, which over time can cause problems.Th

Object connection screen - Single LU with multiple Views gets overwritten with the latest record saved.

Hi All, Can you kindly help me with below query raised from one of our customers ? Single LU with multiple View gets overwritten in object connections window. Is this the standard behavior or is it something that should be fixed ? Example:Let’s say I create an entry in object connections window for LU PurchaseOrderLine and view PURCHASE_ORDER_LINE_ALL. Enter other needed data and save the record.Then create another new record for the same LU PurchaseOrderLine with a different view like RECEIPT_INFO_ALT. Enter other needed data and save the record.Note that the 1st line gets removed and only the 2nd line remains. Thanks and Best Regards,Thilini

'Bad Request' error when Checking in Document for the first time in a clustered environment

Hi All, Can anyone assist me with below query ? 'Bad Request' Error is displayed on running the check in of a document after the initial check-in. The document view option provides Bad request error when the document is checked in but not when the doc is checked out.Faults are inconsistent as in some times when trying to check in a new doc against a revision bad request is shown but others it is not same class same format different result.File path has been checked and verified in both application and Middleware.This has been identified as only be exhibited in a Clustered Environment. Further information:Connection method (VPN / direct access etc) ? Issue recreates for both VPN and direct connection Shared patch is accessible from both Primary and secondary node. IFS services are running using a domain account that has read/write access to the shared location. Firewall issue – Users have created a Local File share between the Primary and secondary Nodes and found the same result with t

Can Azure BLOB storage be used to save document attachments in IFS ?

Can Azure BLOB storage be used to save document attachments in IFS ? One of our customers has reported that database is growing rapidly due to the volume of documents they attached to records. Customer would like to consider other options and BLOB storage is preferred for the purpose. Does IFS support BLOB for the function?

How can we use custom Database methods for Object Connection Transformations ?

Object Connection Transformation provides the means to support object connections to be accessed from business objects other than the ones to which they are connected. In order to do so we have to specify an object transformation method. For some scenarios it is not possible to map the target and source columns due to the fact that the source columns are not included in the target database view. Therefore how can we use custom Database methods for Object Connection Transformations ?

Calendar Plan Lines does not work properly according to the specified year

Expectation is to generate calendar plan until maintenance plan horizon. But for some cases it gets stopped
