I have logged an idea for this, but am wondering whether anyone may have a better idea of achieving this?We have a custom logging form that has a custom item lookup, and what I would like to be able to do is provide the user with a short summary of what that item is/does. It doesn’t look like the we are able to amend the column profile that appears in the item lookup so it includes a remarks field from the CMDB, so the only way currently to achieve this is to create a caption field and manually enter the text - but for 100’s of items, this is not feasible. Ideally, what I would like to happen is when an item is selected, the next custom is a caption that is configured dynamically pull through the information stored in the remarks field of that item in the CMDB - only needing 1 caption field instead of 100’s. This currently isn’t possible, and logged an idea for this 5 months ago, still with no solution. Is anyone able to advise if there is a better way to achieve this? Any help is appre
We are finding that when creating Custom lookups and linking them to new Single Select fields, that a blank option appears in the lookup (that isn’t there in the Custom Lookup) But it only looks to be on some, and not others - Is this something anyone else is experiencing? Are there any fixes?
Hi - we are starting to look at Power Automate, and what it could do when it comes to assyst. Is there anyone with experience using Power Automate and is able to share how they have used it to compliment/integrate with assyst, what they are using it for?
Assyst ETM v 1.5Can you please advise if it possible to have a datamapper that searches for a value from a table in the database based on a value in a .csv file, and then reference that later in the data mapper? For example, we have a .csv file that is used to update Items within assyst, and that csv lists the Item shortcode. What I would like to do is identify what the product of that Item is, and then further down the datamapper reference that Product when searching to update the product version from that specific product?I need to do this, as there are a couple products that have the same Product Version in the cmdb, so when this datamapper runs it doesn’t know which product version to apply – so I need to configure the data mapper to target the correct product.
To help with accessibility for a few users, we would like to be able to configure assyst so that it can be used in Dark Mode.I have been advised by IFS via Call Ref: 386357 that this is not possible and to submit a new Idea.
Hi,We are looking to introduce a new offering on the Service Catalogue for our assystNet users to use for when they want to provide us with feedback on the portal. So, for example, if there was something that they felt needed changing/correcting on a specific offering, then they could let us know. But before I go down the route of creating a specific offering for this, I thought I would reach out to see if anyone else has a better idea? I’ve checked the wiki, and the only feedback option available seems to be in assystWeb. Ideally, there would be an out of the box solution for this?
Hi,I have a Single Line string custom filed on a logging form, and would like to add a Validation Expression that stops a user entering 000000 or 123456.I’m able to write an expression that allows only 000000, but not able to write an expression that doesn’t allow that combination of numbers.Has anyone had any luck writing this kind of validation expression? Thanks in advance
Hi,We are currently experiencing issues with browser caching, where assystNet users don’t see the correct homepage, offerings, layouts, formats that they should be seeing - the only way to resolve is to clear the users browser cache. This has probably started following an upgrade to 11.5.2 a few weeks ago, but wanted to post this to see if anyone else has the same issue as we are experiencing and if so how you manage/resolve that so that ALL users have their browser cache cleared?
Hi,We recently upgraded our environment to 11.5.2, and with that we re-launched the assystNet portal with a new homepage and layout. The problem that we are now finding is that some of our users are not seeing the new Homepage, but the old one in the new format - which isn’t giving them a good experience of the portal. Some users are able to resolve this by clearing browser cache, or clicking the Reset homepage to system default - but what would be good to do is force the default assystNet homepage out to ALL users.Has anyone come across this issues before? Does anyone know if it is possible to force the default homepage to apply to all users? If so, how? Thanks in advance.
