Morning,We are using IFS Apps 8 and trying to understand how and where the Tax code on the Project Invoice Lines is pulled from within the system. We are looking to setup new Tax code for use within projects, however the old/original tax code continues to be pulled in when project invoices are created from Invoicing Plans. We can’t see anything at Project level likewise we have checked the customer setup (inc Addresses) with no joy.Any guidance would be appreciatedThanks
Afternoon,We email Request for Quotation to suppliers as part of the procurement process and currently the RFQ document is attached to the email. The business would like to in addition have a picture file attached and sent as part of this process. The picture file is attached to the RFQ using document management. Anyone know if this is possible, and if so, provide guidance how we can have IFS sent the email with two attachments? Thanks in advance
Hello,We are using Apps 10 Update 18, and we require the ability to add resources (formerly crafts in Apps8) to our engineers (resources) via the screen Resource Detail->Capacity Basis based on their job role. For example, an electrician would get a default list of resources upon joining the business.Currently our managers are having to manually key this into IFS which is a very time consuming and inefficient process. Has anyone achieved this using core functionality or would this need some sort of custom solution? Please let us know your experiencesThanks
Hello,We are attempting to replicate our Apps 10 EE SOD setup for Aurena. With EE, we specify the Oracle API Delete, Modify or New methods, whereas it is not as easy with Aurena. Can someone who has gone through the same pain/experience please help in providing guidance.ThanksShaun
HiWe are currently in the progress of upgrading from Apps 8 to Apps 10. In Apps 8 we have a customisation which sends the mobile engineers a SMS when a work order is assigned to them via IFS MWOThe solution calls command_sys.send_sms_message() which is obsolete in Apps 10. Is there a workaround to allow this functionality in Apps 10?RegardsShaun
Hello,We are currently using IFS Apps 8, and have been asked to provide a presentation illustrating the importance of the HR module within IFS to other key modules and processes. For example, we know service&maintenance relies heavily on the HR module for employee record, scheduling etc especially when you add the PSO (360) module into the equation. So in essence if we were to not use IFS HR module, what wouldn’t we be able to do in IFS anymore? Is there a document or illustration which maps the link between HR and other modules within IFS?Alternatively if you can provide a bullet point list of areas that require the HR module that also would be great.Any feedback would be appreciatedRegardsShaun
Hello,We have a high volume of work tasks that are at Work Done status and have Work Task Transactions with a Transferred status. This is due to custom validation preventing the work tasks being set to Finished in an automatic routine. Finance have checked and confirmed they are happy all reconciles from a GL point of view. The IFS Help text for the status field states:Once the work task transactions are transferred to finance, the status gets changed to Transferred until it is marked as finally posted. So the question, is it correct that the work task transactions have the Transferred status? It says “until it is marked as finally posted”, which suggests the status should be a different value? Please can someone advise if we are missing a step in our process or whether the work tasks are good to be Finished. Thanks in advanceShaun
Hello,We are required to explain the differences in Aurena permissions vs how they were managed previously in Apps 10 EE to our internal/external auditors. Please can someone provide us with clear definitions and purpose of each of the following:PROJECTION PROJECTION ACTION PROJECTION ENTITY PROJECTION ENTITY ACTION I have checked the Technical documentation pages, but there isn't a clear explanation and definition of each. Thanks
We have quick report(s) which work fine in Apps 10 EE, however when the user goes to run the same report no data is returned. The quick reports are parameter driven so users can enter a value or leave blank.Current SQL parameter construct:where h.del_org_code like upper('%&DEL_Code%')and upper(h.POSITION) like upper('%&Position%') We changed the SQL parameter to the following to get it working in Aurena:where h.del_org_code like upper('%' || '&DEL_Code' || '%')and upper(h.POSITION) like upper('%' || '&Position' || '%') Has anyone come across this and do we know why the change is required to allow reports to work in Aurena? Thanks
