I should have mentioned the customer I am working with are updating to 23R1.
Hello Gurus! I’t been a year since this post was last touched, any news regarding the possibility to get documents (pdf) attached to a WO included in the print? Ideally we want to have the PDF embedded in the IFS print if possible, in case it will be emailed rather than printed to paper. @Mathias Dahl @ereslk ?
Very useful heads-up @Mathias Dahl . May I ask a somewhat related question? My customer has got classified data in their files that they don’t want to leave their network, but IFS is running at an IFS partner data center. If using File Storage would the files ever be stored (temporarily) on IFS servers using this option?
May I ask a related question that may handle a big part of the business requirement @Mathias Dahl.Is it possible to extend/modify/configure the IFS standard functionality which (as explained by our IFS implementation partner) allows us to display work orders assigned to a technician in the portal on a map as per the below. We would like to be able to filter tasks/orders in an overview/list and then select a number of records (with coordinates inherited from the object connected) and show these on the built-in map. Feels like IFS have provided a great capability but only enabled in in a few rather limited use cases.
Thanks for sharing this very useful info @Mathias Dahl , I will also reach out to @Frank Sveen. Without digging into too much technical details, would this capability allow the IFS user to display Objects and Work orders on the map as per the above and filter the same byt the various standard and possibly customised/configured fields added to the object/work order? /Tor
Thanks for further input and guidance @AndreasIsengaard, we’ll have someone a bit more techie than me to give it a go...
Thanks @Mathias Dahl, good to see you live and active on the customer forum, we will have a look at this and revert back if we get stuck. /Tor
Hi Mathias, You were quicker than I expected to respond to the queston, still going strong :-). Thanks for the input, we were thinking of a solution along these lines, wanted to get yours and other input and thoughts. We are actually going to start the process form the Business Mail object, to which the msg file will be attached as a document. Will see if we have some other great ideas and let you know what we end up doing. /Tor
Fantastic, thanks @Eric , one would think that the user creating the job by default got the grant but obviously not. Now all good!
Got the install working by having the admin adding the manifest, but now we have an issue loading the data, see Assistance apreciated.
Hi @william.klotz ,That I know for sure it is, see https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/21r2/020_installation/400_installation_options/010_data_management/030_data_migration/ as a proof of that, speaking to IFS, this is the (only) reason for FNDMIG still being part of IFS Cloud despite the intro of Smart Data Manager tool. /Tor
Hi, Kasun or other, can you assiste with this query?
This is making work in IFS Cloud rather difficult for people working with larger lists of data. I though this was on the IFS R&D roadmap to adress but maybe it didn’t make it to 21R2, any plans for 22R1?
Great question, must be someone in the community who have looked at that!
