Hi Elthuad,If you have access to IFS documentation , please refer "”About"” in below pages.documentation/en/Massch/frmLevel1Detail.htmdocumentation/en/Massch/frmLevel0partdt.htmAttached document has some exercises to follow.Best Regards.ANMASL
Hi Enzo,When you are receiving a part in to inventory, that has no cost calculated and copied to cost set one, then system pops up this dialog for you to define cost. 2 options are possible1- Enter buckets and cost values2-Use split costIf you use split cost for a manufactured part, system selects cost buckets from structure/routing and cost values from work centers and labour classes according the same ratio of costs in work centers/labor classes and material cost.example.Assume you have one operation with a work center cost 500, OH 1 is 50 and OH 2 is 5, then ratio is 100:10:1, so buckets 300: 321: 322 splits in to this ratio from the given cost value by you in cost split. If your material cost is 10 then its 2% of your work center cost. When using split cost, if you enter total unit cost as 100, then breakdown is as follows. Hope this clarifies your question.Best regards.Anju
Hi Ron Hu,You need standard deviation for the demand as one factor. Below is the equation to calculate SS, taken from IFS documentation.Calculation of Safety StockThe safety stock is calculated for all planning methods.Safety stock (pieces) = Safety factor [-] * standard deviation for demand (pieces/period) * square root of part lead time (period)The lead time is retrieved from the inventory part record, purchase or manufacturing lead time depending on part type. The safety factor is retrieved from the service rate connected to the inventory part. Here the normal standard distribution is used to define the service rate and the safety factor. The service rate is considered as the probability and the safety factor is considered as the standard score of normal standard distribution. It is also possible to retrieve the safety factor for a given service rate by using the standard Excel function NORMSINV(Probability).Note: The safety stock will not be updated if the predicted yearly demand i
Hi Ronhu,If you select the checkbox ‘Plan Safety Stock Receipt on MRP run date’", MRP will generate supply for safety stock value on run date if there is no enough supplies to cover the safety stock. If the check box is cleared, safety stock receipts will be planned in conjunction with the first event for the part.example, if the ss=10 and there is no any event(demand/supply) in the system for this site, if you still need to generate supplies for SS, you need to select the above checkbox. MRP will create a supply for ss on run date. This can be used to generate supplies for ss only.if the ss=10 and there are some events(demand/supply), first event on date xxxx , then you can run MRP without selecting this check box, MRP will generate supply for the SS on first event date xxxx. You can still run MRP by selecting this check box, then MRP generate supply for SS on run date , not on first event date. The Calculate Planning Data dialog box can be used to automatically calculate and update th
Hi Andy,When a material requisition is first created, it will be given the Released status, this is the default status. Subsequently, it is possible to alter the status back to Planned if necessary. Therefore if you can do a code change to set the default status as "Planned” when creating MR, it will be a solution for you. Once it is created in "”Planned"” status, then you can change the status to "”Released "” according to your business need.Regards.ANMASL
Hi,Once you run MRP, it will generate purchase requisitions for all demands of purchased parts. Assuming you meant by "”Enact"” is to release the PR's, its possible to get them from "”Purchase Requisitions” Overview client and select them RMB-Release.Let me know if this helps.BRAnju
Hi,There is a workaround for you to keep the demands but stop planning supplies by MRP. In the inventory part/Manufacturing tab, Unselect MRP Control for the part A and then run MRP for the site, MRP will not plan supplies for A as well and for its components. Hope this is useful.BRAnju
Hi Pabasara,For a new structure in estimate, it is possible to apply overheads. Once you create an estimate for a new manufactured part, you can add components under product/components tab, RMB on product header or component line to enter the overheads.Hope this answers your question.Anju
