Note for future viewers on this thread. We were recently informed that the parameter above has been deprecated, and this configuration is now controlled on the Workflow(Mobile) settings.
Thanks Phil!
Thanks Reid, that’s exactly what I was looking for. However it’s a bit weird, currently we have that set to 1 DaysToKeep, despite our database having data from 5 days ago (although the majority of the data is from the last day). Any idea why it would be retaining records beyond that parameter?GPS Records by Day
Hi Kevin, Try changing the values in the MOE -10224 setting for your mobile technician: Log out of Mobile and log back in again afterwards to trigger the download of the updated MOE setting to the mobile device, that should do the trick. Thanks, Reid Awesome, thanks Reid, exactly what I was looking for! Do you happen to know if all order fields are available to be used? (including cst_ fields) Or do we need to stick to the base/default fields? EDIT: Dumb question. Just read the description of the MOE and now see the list of available fields.
Hi Kevin, Below is just an example for updating Service Order z_udf_string_1 = the leftmost 10 characters of descr and z_udf_string_2 = descr with Process Flow. Sample of the input query: select order_id, SUBSTRING(descr, 0, 10) string_1, descr from order_line WITH(NOLOCK) where order_type_id = 'service_order' and LEN(descr) > 10 Sample of the Update Action API: <root xmlns:dt="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:datatypes"> <session email="" alias=""> <state bc_name="Service_Order"> <action name="data"> <main> <row number="1"> <order_id dtype="string">{order_id}</order_id> <z_udf_string_1 dtype="string">{string_1}</z_udf_string_1> <z_udf_string_2 dtype="string">{descr}</z_udf_string_2> </row> </main> </action> </state> </session> </root> Thanks Josh, yeah unfortunately the issue here
We actually had this exact requirement as well. The recommendation we got from IFS was to use “Memo” type objects of service to capture the prices for the different period. This is in V15, not sure if relevant to previous versions though.
2nd the request for searching for lists of items! Also the ability to search for null values would be really helpful occasionally.
You will need to modify the security role to include the item you need. Go to Security Setup, select the Security Role to update (or clone one to create a new role) and then search for the module (Expense Report form) and then choose if this role will have access to view it, or create new, or Delete or modify, as you need. It will need to be done by someone that has a role that includes “Security Setup” so presumably one of your system administrators. Hey Chris, sorry for the late reply, just getting back from a vacation. I may not have been completely clear with my issue - The personnel do have access to the module itself, however they don’t have access to open the actual expense reports.
Thanks Andrew, this is great. Does writing the events to the event_logs table take a lot of server capacity? (i.e. should we be careful about modifying this config to false when azure is processing a lot of services?) Would mostly be doing it in UAT but just checking if we should treat it as an option for troubleshooting production issues as well.
Could you please elaborate on the necessary requirements? Typically, when a user that is assigned another language in their user record logs into the application, they should be able to update the descriptions in their assigned language. Will this work for you, or are you looking to update descriptions in bulk? Oh that makes sense! To be honest I’ve never logged in with a language other than my own so hadn’t even thought of that. But that is a good work around solution (change my language, and log back in and change them.) I was envisioning something to do it in bulk like this:But your comment definitely provides a better solution than using imports.
