Hello,we are already two years on Cloud version, We still use on behalf - using position access - granting access for position of employee who should create the expense on behalf to position of employee for which the expense should be created, using special access role granting create expense and change statuses from Preliminary to confirm - like this.I hope it could help … Best RegardsJiri
Dear Magnus, thank you for your help and inputs.Since it works fine in case that user is HR application manager, I assume that it is not issue of a permission set but with HR data access, as you have pointed. I will raise a ticket to IFS support to get some check if all works correctly.Thank you!
Hello Magnus, thank you very much for your answer.I have tried your recommendation and used also Old/New values with Set Value for Attribute value field. Re-granted all access to Organization with this new access role to the user, but still the same issue with access to create/modify any recruitment requisition. The setup looks like followAttribute definitionAccess Role definition Access to org (top level) with defined access role for entire user Thank you very much for any hint. Have a nice day!
Hello Karolina, thank you for the answer. Do you have some indication from the support, when the issue will be fixed? I do not have access in my IFS portal to any other ticket except mine...Currently we use 22R2 release.Thank you.
Hi Martin, thank you for your clarification. So the relation of two positions in the position structure is not enough for accessing subordinate positions and needs to be always set individually for every position in position access setup. Thank you for your help!
Thank you Martin for your reply. We are using Matrix Org structure, setup od Direct Supervisor selection is Based on immediate parent position. These tow positions are in direct relation supervisor-employee within the same organization unit (within matrix structure). Unfortunately, the supervisor cannot see the expenses of her subordinate (using those positions we ae talking about). But when I add record to position access setup for supervisor positions having access on her own position, including access to lower positions, and using some access role with possibility to approve expense (Expense_auth), then the supervisor can see subordinates’ expenses.Thank you for your help.
Hello Rakpadma, did you find any solution for this issue? I am facing similar error in 22R2 SU2 - “ERROR - ?: (Server Error) invalid input length for obfuscation toolkit “ while accessing page “Employee Salary Information”. The same happening when accessing Compensation in the Employee File. Thank you.
I’ve just tested this and I am able to add multiple bookmarks from the same page. Could it be a different version we are looking at? I’ve tested this in 22R1 update 7. Hello, we are using 21R2 SU13 now. Planning 22R2 implementation. so this could the difference. Thank you.
You can create as many saved searches as you like, and each one can be added as a bookmark. When you create the new search, if it’s the same parameters, IFS will offer whether to modify it or add it as a new search. Each saved search can be added as a separate bookmark Hello Rituma, thank you for quick answer. I am aware that I can create as many Saves Searches as I want, but still not able to make more than one bookmark from the same page. I select Save Search #1 and then create Bookmark with unique name, eg. Bookm #1. Then I select Save Search #2 on the same page and then create Bookmark with unique name, E.g. Bookm #2, the original one - Bookm #1 is rewritten by Bookm #2.Thank you.
Hello Kevin, thank you for the answer. In case I assign a Role in the relevant company, is there a possibility to limit the access to selected employees from the company or it’s providing the access to all employees from the company with no limitations (except limitations to LU defined in Access Role)?Still hunting for the solution when would like to give access to Employee from Company A to another Employee from Company B (to give the possibility to create an expense on behalf of the second employee).Thank you.
Hello Kevin, thank you for your answer. When assigning access to position ID via Supervisor screen, it’s automatically taken Access Role from Position Access Setup (for own position ID) and used in Access Role in Suprvized Employees. The problem there is that it’s not possible to assign Access Role with Access ROle Type = ‘Self Access’ but only ‘Access’. Anyway, finally I was able to do the setup - creating a new Access Role, assigning standard Attribute EXPENSE_CREATION containing EXPENSE_STATUS values Preliminary and Confirmed. This new Access ROle is assigned in Position Access Setup to Employee Y. Via Supervisor Access Setup Screen is given access to Employee X on Position ID of Employee Y from Company B. Then the Employee X is able to create Expense on behalf of Employee Y, upload attachment to Expense and Confirm. Not able to Approve. Thank you again for your support there.
