I have seen customizations that allow you to schedule a QuickReport and get it emailed. So you create your saved search as a quick report and schedule it to send you the results
I have used an External LB in App8, active session switching was not supported in that version. So in an event, one server has gone down or unreachable to the LB, users had to relog in and LB had settings to check which servers were alive before directing a user. The main benefit was load distribution between multiple server and uptime (redundancy). Able to solve performance issues caused by the App server by having multiple low capacity servers instead of one high capacity server. As far as I am aware App10 comes with the ability to switch sessions( if one server is not reachable) where the same session is maintained in all App servers. (If I am not mistaken this doesn't pass the full benefit of having slightly low capacities multiple servers)
Check .Net version on those computers and try cleaning the IFS app data folders on those computers
Is it possible to delete records from WORK_SCHED_ASSIGN using Data Migration and WORK_SCHED_ASSIGN_API.Remove__ Can anyone please advise how this is done. It is possible to do that. You need to pass Objid, Objversion with the ‘DO’ as the action. specify the correct parameter to select the records you need to remove. (I have sued in other APIs but on the exact API you have mentioned)
Hi, Is this a customized method you are using in this scheduled task? If so you need to modify that method only to select the invoices which are not authorized. -/thusi
I could create a custom event for all parts manufactured/ received in a given day, though I wanted to let the user choose for which part they want to be alerted. This event or alert would be for sales reps for one of our division for which we have really long lead time(parts are manufactured abroad) . I don’t want them to receive an alert each time a part is received but only when a part they’re interested in whether for a quote or a project. maybe you can have a solution outside IFS (along with IFS Custom Events), Create a generic event to send an email with Partno/Group in the subject Let the users add email rules to delete others and keep only the alerts for the parts of their interest ( This will allow different users to keep alerts based on the parts of their individual choice)
Is it not possible to create a custom event for this?
Absolutely on-prem and could are two different options, in my case, we had an on-prem installation as replications were part of the solution. So we kept separate tablespaces for each different type of lobs and monitored them very closely. @Mathias Dahl what option do you have in order to have the document stored in oracle but on a separate DB in the could. (assuming docs are not so frequently updated as data so can have different DR options) -/thusitha
As mentioned above the ability to do content search was a strong reason to have the documents in the database, In addition to full backup/restore will take care of the document metadata and the same security will be applied when you have them in the database. Sometimes from the DB admin point of view, you can keep these lob data in a separate tablespace for better housekeeping. By doing that you can even split your storage options between not so expensive storage for the documents and high-speed storage for other data. Also, you can exactly monitor which tablespace is growing in order to make better decisions.
