After some debugging we found out the reason but not yet the solution. It has to do with the version, we are on version 9. I will create a support ticket. Thx for the assistence Shehan
Hi Shehan Maybe you could tell me what IFS version you are using?
Hi Shehan That’s not it, I also have other wage code definitions that are deducted directly. What I noticed was that when I enter an absence line in time card day interval and save it. It doesn’t give an error that I’m exceeding the balance. But when I enter it in time card day result, it gives me an error that I’m exceeding the balance when I save it.
I think I got a little further in my research. The problem is that when I enter an absence directly in time result, I get the error message. But when I enter it in the interval tab I don’t get the message. In the debugger I also saw that there was a call to an event “time balance exceed alert”. However there is no action defined (its empty). Does someone know what I should do next?
Hi Shehan I put print screens of our configuration below, I don’t get the error when I enter more then 8 days in the absence window or calendar. Only when I enter it directly in time card result.J006-1 (holiday last year) goes into J006.But also for the other codes I don’t get the error
Hi Shehan The setup for the balance definitions are OK in our system, we get an error if we try to register more the 8 days in time card result. But if we register it with the absence module we don’t get an error and can register more then 8 days. These are also registered in time card result where we can even confirm them.It seems like the system doesn’t look at the balance definitions of the wage codes that are linked in the absence module.
Hi Lasanthi That is correct. I don’t want to use absence limits, only the balances (balance id) of the wage codes. The balance id of the wage code for person X is 8 days and the minimum value is 0. The problem is that I can register 20 days of absence and I don’t get an error. I can also confirm all these days in the time card. Thx
Hi Shehan I did at first but then I would need to enter the limits again and I want to use the limits that I already set up in the wage codes. Otherwise I would do the work twice.
Ok, I will look into that. Thanks again for your help!
I found it Dumeesha and it sends the XML to my email, thx!But now for the next step I would like to send the xml to a location on a SFTP and at the same time an email is sent to the email address of the customer abc@def.com automaticaly. Is that possible?
Hi Dumeesha Thank you for your answer. Can you explain how I do the setup for the Send Full XML to Connect? Can that XML than also be stored on a SFTP? David
Thx for the info Shehan!
Hi Shahan When you run the PHC today it will only calculate the past 14 days but will not yet calculate the Public holidays that I already entered for christmas this year. I’m searching for a solution that will also calculate future dates so we can already confirm them. David
Hi Shehan That works, thx! But the problem I have now is that we already get holiday requests f.e. the week between Christmas and New Years. So we will confirm these days already but can’t confirm the holidays because the job will only calculate the past days.Is there a solution for this? David
Thank you for the explenation Maria. But is there maybe another way to register a single value of 4h absence when the employee has a flexible schedule? When we enter the absence in the interval we need to enter the in time and out time but it is possible that the employee starts an hour early that day so in that case we would just like to enter a specific number of hours.
We just figured it out, if you don’t enter the translation of the part the manual adjusted description will remain the same after transferring the purch. requist to a purchase order. The reason we need this is the we have “dummy” parts that we use for items that maybe get ordered only once and are to specific to re-order.Before this we used a no-part but with this there was a chance the purchaser would chose the wrong purch. group etc.
