Going on from this we found that sessions were being limited to 1200 sessions. We found in the IFS Config a means of increasing this to 2400. Although we still have some work to do (one of the two application server is seeing a higher count than the other, so we are still investigating that), the sessions increased up to 1900 yesterday. We weren’t getting any record locks and users weren’t reporting performance issues.We have a case with IFS that was raised under the initial problem - 503 errors being reported to users, as well as stacking sessions. We are looking to IFS to guide us as to optimising these config settings. We are unsure that by us increasing the session limit, does this affect other config settings. We are more in experimental mode rather than taking guided steps presently.

We checked the Inventory_Part_Unit_Cost_TAB for locking history and couldn’t find anything there.An aspect of this issue might stem from what we have observed for a considerable time but have never been able to resolve.We have load balancing between our two app servers, plus our three database servers. If we force connect to one of the app server, and then the other, and open a de-bug window in each, on one of them we often get a 503 error being declared for the FndWebSocketService. It polls every 20 seconds.I’ve been monitoring this to see if there is a correlation with the 503 errors our users are getting and it seems there is. The error is present until users start reporting that they are getting 503 errors. If I leave the de-bug screen up, the errors stop and we see a positive line where the websocket service makes a connection.Does this prompt any ideas?

Hi I’d like to add to this thread rather than creating a new one - seems appropriate… In creating a Collective Customer Invoice (Apps 9 SP11) we have a need to remove one or more Customer Order Lines from it - maybe because certain lines don’t adhere to our contract rules. There doesn’t appear to be a means of removing lines from the Preliminary Invoice other than to cancel it completely and then Block for Invoicing each of the unwanted lines in the Customer Order. Further, there then doesn’t appear to be a way of re-generating the Collective Customer Invoice to exclude the unwanted lines AND not to include any recent deliveries (keeping to the total value of the original invoice less the value of the unwanted lines) Any help on this would be appreciatedPaul

It’s odd how Prelim Invoices created via this functionality don’t behave like Prelim invoices elsewhere in IFS where you can remove lines.We’re moving ahead using the work-rounds already described above. The Customer Order Lines screen, with a bit of re-shuffling the headers, is useful for producing a saved query based upon the First Actual Ship Date to control what goes in or stays out of the invoice run.Maybe this will help you ThanksPaul
Many thanks Shehan, that’s what I have been thinking.Our issue is based upon a failing interface from our master HR system into IFS. We are left with many employees that need to be moved away from their wrongly created Parent Position to their correct Position. I was hoping there would be a screen I could do this en-mass.I am in the throws of creating an Excel Migration job, but it appears that the POSITION_UTIL_API is the one to use (as used by drag and drop). The trouble with that is it has a single string attribute passed in (by keys), which isn’t easy for users to construct in Excel.Oh well, I’ll keep looking 😀ThanksPaul

Hi TomasThanks for this, you are on the right track. I removed all but a couple of text columns and it started working. I’ll re-dress the code along the lines of what you have suggested (TO_CHAR). Hopefully I can re-convert them to dates and numbers within the Quick Report 😀 Thanks

Many thanks @Mayura Wasantha I was thinking along the same lines as you have suggested - raise the WO at the Serial parent level. In our case, it will pick up the Functional Obj it is assigned to, which would suffice. Thanks for your help
