I don’t think I can edit my response above. Correction: “Since this was out-of-the-box functionality in Apps10, I am still curious if anyone found anything that is a direct replacement for it without multiple custom events/fields” is incorrect. - Should have read: “Since this was out-of-the-box functionality in Apps8 and for part of Apps10, I am still curious if anyone found anything that is a direct replacement for the functionality without multiple custom events/fields.
Hi Dakshinie,Thank you for your response. This is a good suggestion and meets several of our requirements. This will present some issues however. The Sales Price is not made visible to the technician on the device. We currently have cost values in non-inventory sales parts so we will most likely need to create a separate custom field for this. Cost does not come through as Price on the Sales tab and will require a custom event to copy it to the correct field. It’s my understanding that for this to work with Cost field, Cost and Sales Price need to match so therefore, probably same idea, but with a cf.Thank you. Since this was out-of-the-box functionality in Apps10, I am still curious if anyone found anything that is a direct replacement for it without multiple custom events/fields. Of course, those suggestions, like Dakshinie’s are also very much appreciated!
In case anyone runs into a similar issue, this ended up requiring a modification.
Thank you all for your responses! Sorry it took me so long to update this one. The parameter in our Batch Queue Configuration was set too low. IFS Tech Support in Sri Lanka was able to identify the root cause after quite a bit of troubleshooting. Thanks again!
Not at the moment unfortunately, but it’s in the roadmap for Upd6, which is only a few weeks away (August 31, 2020). Is this now available as originally expected in Aug 2020?Thanks!
Permission Sets: Best practice recommendations for permissions sets and basic instruction would be incredibly helpful. We’ve developed it over many years and it works, but now we need a fresh and best practice approach.Work Order Flow for ERP customers: IEE and Aurena Work Orders would be very useful to us. So much information out there is based on FSM, but we are a long-time ERP customer and it was recommended to us by IFS that the best component would be Mobile Work Order so that’s the route we took. We are beginning our upgrade and are most likley looking at a blend of IEE/Aurena/Mobile Work Order for the solution end-to-end.
