Hi All, We are using the project management module in IFS 9 to support a Time and Materials business. From a time and forward supplier invoice standpoint everything is hitting project tansactions correctly. We have some expenses that we want to charge to the customer, like shipping chargers, and the finance team is entering them as manual vouchers and linking them to project activities but this does not create project transactions. My question is, how are other companies handling thee type of expenses that need to be charged to the customer through project invoicing?

Connect RMA to repair shop order

Hi all, I happens that we have to repair manufactured parts. We do that by creating a RMA and a repair shop order. But we cannot find a easy way to connect the RMA to the repair shop order (without using a custom field). How is that done?

Has anyone ever created an integration to manage some business processes in parallel between SAP and IFS (i.e. SAP for Finance and IFS for Manufacturing/Distribution or SAP for all SCM/Finance and IFS for Manufacturing)? Thank you!

FSM business rule expression question

I’m trying to write an expression in a business rule that checks the currently logged in user (User_log_in.person_id) against a team table. However, the team table is not a “related table” to the one used in the rule. Can an expression reference a table that the business rule/process is not related to?

When scheduling All Parts Cost Calculation job what are the best practices ?

We encounter a situation in a Customer environment that scheduled job for ‘All Parts Cost Calculation’ creates issues due to its long running time. Customer runs this job on a site that has nearly 30k parts. For the cost set 2. and for Active part status. Both the Include Configurable Parts and Copy Estimated Mtrl. Cost From Inventory Part ticks ON. The default batch queue has been used. Please suggest any best practices known when comes to scheduling this job.

IFSAPP grant access to Page

Hi, I have Install fresh build for new Application and follow all steps and instruction which is given into Help Document and it has been installed successful.But have noticed, there are some interfaces are not in Navigation e.g Supplier, Customer, Company etc, so i use to add new item and select unused interface then it showing error “You are not authorized to view the information or perform activities on this page” “User IFSAPP has not been granted access to the page frmSupplierInfo_Ext”

How to Cancel a no Part PO order line on a received change order

Hello - I have a user that has a PO with a change order and all of the lines are closed except for 1. He would like to cancel this line due to supplier delay but cannot because the change order has “Received” status. I am new to IFS and am unsure of how to advise him to cancel this last line due to the status of the change order. Is this possible to do? Many thanks! Leslie

SQL GroupBy YYYYMM over IAL fails with '(full) year must be netween -4713 and +9999 and not be 0'

We’re creating a QuickReport where we want transaction data by month going across the row. We created an accumulating IAL grouped by YYYYMM which works great. Then creating a 2nd IAL over the first to total each YYYYMM’s Qty into it’s own month column (January, February, March, etc) and when we run that in SQL Query Tool it fails with this error: We’ve ensured all rows have valid dates.

I have created the Technical class and Attributes but could not see the Characteristics option in the Attachments for Supplier. Plan Shop Orders with Labour only

It seems that IFS Apps10 only uses Machine Time when planning Manufactured Parts and Shop Orders. How should we plan Manufactured Parts (MRP) and Schedule the resulting Shop Orders with labour only? We are not using CBS or APB, just Apps10.

‘Failed to retrieve Report’ Hello Community, We’ve having an issue on our test environment, receiving the ‘Failed to retrieve Report’ message (Apps 9 UDP7) when running a CR quick report. Everything fine in IFSL The database has been refreshed from Live a few months ago, but to list the numerous things we have tried with no luck. Checked reports work through Crystal. Can confirm yes Checked credentials of all sys, print, ifssys, ifsapp accounts. Custom Field with Enumeration truncates at 30 characters

We have some custom fields that are truncating at 30 characters after they have been selected and saved. The enumeration drop down shows the full text value, but once saved and the screen refreshed it will re-display it showing only the first 30 characters. We are using Apps10 (upd5) on IEE. I’m opening a case with IFS, seeing if anyone else is seeing the same thing or knows about this and if a solution exists.

Error when ordering a Business Reporter report through IFS

When trying to order a Business reporter report through IFS, and then selecting ‘view executed report’, I receive an error due to the ‘file format or file extension is not valid’. Excel is trying to open an .xlsx file when the report contains macros so its saved as .xlsm. We are new to using IFS, therefore I hope there is someone more experienced out there to assist us with this error. I tried to attach the screen shots but it is erroring on this page. Thanks

Shop Floor Workbench interval based on calendar?

Hi, We are facing the issue where the interval from our Shop Floor Workbench Filters is not looking at the manufacturing calendar. We have for example an interval of -10 days in the past and 3 days in the future. This is causing issues on the Fridays where users are not able to see the planning for Monday and Tuesday. Is there a fix/workaround for this issue?

Shop Order split generates UNISS transactions from Parent Shop Order

We have one Shop Order that we have split (from the Shop Order Screen) which has resulted in UNISS transactions occuring, causing us grief with our data. The Shop Order has a status of “Started” and some operation lines are “Partially Reported”. I have other Shop Orders that are in the same state, but which do NOT generate UNISS transactions. Any ideas as to what is causing this? I am hoping it is a specific setting we are unaware of on the Shop Order or Inventory Part but cannot see anything.

Problems with Business Reporting after installation of App10

We upgraded to App10 in December. After he upgrade we found that some of our reports did not work properly. We have a problem with information extracted from Customer Order lines - Business Reporting seems unable to extract the correct quantity and base price from the Customer Order line. Has anyone else had these type of issues?
