Custom RMB when source value is not a source column

Hello, Our users request a custom RMB from “register arrivals” to the related demand source of type “Shop order” (use case outside operations) in IFS 10 Update 6. This was already implemented in IFS 8 SP1. Due to changes in the view, required source columns are only referenced from the client, but don’t exist in view. in Form Register Arrivals, the relevant data is displayed. column Demand Order Ref1 is not a field in the view. it is a referenced value (...api.get...) Custom Menu definition requires a source column in the source view - which does not exist other approach could be: Idea 1: source Key Name could allow to use a bind variable of the column name of the form like: :tbwRegisterArrivals.colsDemandOrderRef1 Idea 2: source Key Name could allow to use a get-function of the format like: &AO.Receipt_Info_Manager_API.Get_Demand_Order_Ref1(SOURCE_REF1,SOURCE_REF2,SOURCE_REF3,SOURCE_REF4,SOURCE_REF_TYPE_DB) There is the same problem when defining a condition for Custom RMB. Custom menu condition

I have created custom menus in several screens, and they are working. But for one custom menu I want it to display only there is a value in a specific field. Therefore, I used conditions. But seems the custom menu is not accepting the condition. Query regarding Quick Report (Crystal Report) and parameter

I have a Quick Report (Crystal Report) that has the parameter WO_NO (work order number). The report works fine. Created a custom menu on the work order header and in the custom menu set the Quick Report Parameter as: Source Key Name = WO_NO Dest Key Name = WO_NO This again works fine but the user has to press enter when the parameter screen displays the Work Order No. Can this be set to AUTO accept the value being passed?

Document Management - Access

Hi, we have an issue where we want to use document attachments for expenses. The users who will need to be able to view the attachment is the employee the expense sheet has been created for, the employees manager and an administration team. Generally the employee is inputting the attachment so will automatically get permission to see the document, adding an administrative team is easy but how can I get the employees line manager to view the document without opening the document up to multiple other users?ThanksHelen

Demand Planner on Windows 10

we have just moved to windows 10 for all users (from windows 7) - DP ran just fine on windows7 but on windows10 the screen font is so small you cannot read it and when you move a window around it leaves a trail of windows behind it filling the screen Anyone any experience of this and perhaps a fix? emergency license for testing database

I know you can request an emergency license (last 3 days) from IFS using the link provided. This generates a license key. How do I apply this? Normally, we receive an xml and click apply then select the xml to license the software. Thanking you in advance for your help.

IFS 10 Shortcuts/Columns Disappearing

Has anyone experienced an issue where a user adds a shortcut to their navigator, save their profile and then upon their next login it disappears? I also have had users report that they’ll add a column to a table view of a screen, save their profile and that also disappears upon their next login.

Signature on mobile WO report

Is there a way to get the customer signature entered on the mobile devices when completing a WO (MWO) to the backoffice work order report? Assume this signature is saved as a blob in the database but how can we get this into a Crystal report?

Monitor User Usage

RUnning FSM 5.7 (UPD 7) Looking for a way to track user interaction with the system. Within the User record we can see when they logged in and last logged out but we need more. They could be logged in but IDLE all day and not actually working. Any suggestions on how we could pull this data or track it?

Inventory Ageing Report

Hi all, One of my customers has asked for an inventory ageing report. Can anybody tell me what are the things that needs to be taken care before asking for further details from the customer. I mean can anybody tell me the pre requisites that needs to be there or may be the basic setup in the system?? Like what valuation methods are possible or whether it is possible for serial and lot batch items?? What possible configuration can be done about this? Any help is appreciated.

Case Management Portal

We are looking into expending our IFS 10 environment with Case Management. However we have the desire to use some kind of (B2B) portal so that our customers can register cases and look at the status of their cases. I cannot find any information regarding this being included in the Aurena B2B. Does anyone have any experience with this?

We are using a custom menu in APPS 10 to create a location and add it to a functional object. The map position does not automatically generate. Is there any way to make this automatic or is there some process that can be run via an event to make it set the map positions?

Document Class LU control

We are using document classes to categorize files that can be attached to several different LU’s. If there a standard functionality configuration where you can control what document classes can be used for certain screens/LU’s? We run into problems when a user attaches a file using a document class that should not be used for that screen. Example: We might have customer order whereby a user will add a document classified under “Supplier Contract”. We would never want this added to a customer order. Other than creating some kind of event action, is there standard functionality that can control this? We are on IFS Version 9, Update 8. Thanks!

End user view finally posted invoices

Hi Have a problem that we haven't find a proper solution; I guess there is other with similar issues, maybe someone has solved it? We have enabled “Finally Posted Supplier Invoices Analysis” to the end users, this window is working very well. Currently, they can only see what they have approved. Now the problem; we have a group of users that would like to see each other invoices, as they work in the same department and same authorization. Currently, this is not possible, with above window. We have tried with some other ways, but then the end-user will see all invoices within that company, and that is not the right solution (and not allowed according to our process.) /Karl Linder

Hi all, I wondered if anybody using payroll has successfully gone paperless? I have been toying with looking at e-mailing payslips to employees but obvsiouly with GDPR (and just general common sense) I would need to encrypt the attachment first.

M62 Posting Control

I want to set up posting control M62 to use the project ID to determine the appropriate general ledger account number and department to record the expense to. I can’t use any characteristic from the inventory part because the same part needs to be expensed differently if it’s being charged to an R&D project than when it is charged to a revenue project. I thought Cost Source would be the answer but that’s not working either. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. Patrick
