FSM Business Rule input validation question

The business rule input validation TASK.TASK_ID EQUAL some table and column in VALUE_TABLE_NAME and VALUE_COLUMN_NAME field doesn’t work. I am expecting it would verify if the new task_id exists in the VALUE_COLUMN_NAME of VALUE_TABLE_NAME. Is it wrong expectation?

Custom Logical Page based on IAL

Hello! I decided to join the community and seek some help from you :). I’m struggling to create a custom logical page based on IAL. I need it to add a custom tab in Employee screen with the information about requested material from Material Requisition (custom field with Employee Id there). How can unhide the all hided fields in IFS Application?

I have hided all the fields of the posting Tab of the Work order Report in Tab. I am unable to unhide the same and unhide option is not visible to me. This is hided for me only. Please advise the solution?

Posting control error

Hi Folks, There is an error in Maintenance Posting analysis. Error: Value is missing or has an invalid time interval for posting type TP1 control type C55 code part B in company 1001. I have checked the prepostings added to Work order and all are added correctly and also they are in Posting control Navigator. Can you please help here Thank you !!

Custom Field on GL Voucher Row Analysis not showing up

I have created a Read Only custom field on the GL Voucher Row Analysis and when I go back to the screen and Reload the Configuration it does not show up in the Column Chooser. I have logged out and back in and still no luck. Any ideas on why this is not showing up? Apps 10 UPD5

When registering a new FSM MPM, even after configuring all the parameters in "Perform Definitions" correctly, MPM throwing the following error when invoking. "Metadata not found for YourMPMName Contact your system administrator for assistance."

Difference between smart client user and portal client user

What is the difference between the FSM Smart Client User and Portal Client user ? IS it possible for a user to perform all type of tasks in both the FSM Smart Client and portal client. For example , if a dispatcher user role is there , whether dispatcher user can schedule the task in both FSM Smart Client and FSM Portal Client.

Incorrect project costs due to bad project link in business events

We found out that since we are working with IFS10 our project costs show a difference between “Actual” and “Used” at the moment it should not. It took us a while but we now dicovered that since the update we get the “invoice to be paid” (belgian, 444000 / 444005 accounts) double in the project costs because in the business event APINVOICE there is a “include project connection” on the M18 and M10 .. where we did not have this before. I can correct this in the database and then we have the costs correct, but i’m wondering if someone experienced the same issue ? And what could be the reason that this got updated like this in IFS10?

Using AppLocker with IFS

We are in the testing phase of trying to implement AppLocker within our organization. We quickly ran into an issue with IFS. We are using App8 SP1+. IFS does not have a publisher signature and the path to the file Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.exe will change every time we reconfigure the application or even delete the app data folder to force a re download of all of the IFS files to a client's computer. Are there any suggestions on how to configure AppLocker to allow IFS to run out of Add Data? Thanks

Kanban and Availability Codes

Customer needs to use Kanban but don't want it to move any stock with any Availability Code on that stock. Customer knows there is a setup within Availability Code to "Not Allow" on Part Movement Control, but don't want to stop moving items with an Availability Code. Customer just don't want Kanban to use that stock. Is this something has seen before and is there any way round it. How does it work in IFS10?

Kanban Reorder point does not create transport task line to move a part/lot batch no from a location with different or no availability controls id to the destination location. Not all the stock is to be available for MRP or automatic reservation; this is achieved by the application of availability controls ids. It is then sometimes necessary to replenish either the maintenance or research location (Kanban or manually) and it not possible to move if only one lot/batch is in stock.With the new tick box in the Site > Extended Site info > Inventory > Transport task tabA new tick was introduced, [ Allow Deviating Part Availability Control] it enables the transport task to be executed irrespective of what availability control ID in source and destination location.This was only valid for manually created transport tasks.A customer is looking for this same control for a transport task created via Kanban replenishment. (auto). Would like your feedback in handling this scenario?

Delete button for NCR

One customer that am handling is looking for a quotation to add a “delete” button for NCR. Customer mentions the following:We need to be able to remove incorrectly reported cases from the system (like we do in DocMan). Same goes for CAPA cases, where we also have some test cases that were logged in production environment by mistake. We also need to be able to remove these.The delete option should only be available for our global SuperUsers. Would like some quick suggestions ?

Show inventory part attached doc in a Crystal Report

Hi, I am looking to create a production run book that the factory line operator can click on & produce a Crystal report showing relevant IFS data (part description, pack weight, bbe etc. etc.) and then also pull in the pallet stacking pattern PDF and the pack artwork PDF. Both PDFs are attached to the inventory part record for the packaging part. I can pull all of the IFS data no problem, but i am struggling to get the doc man attachments. Can someone point me in the right direction please? Thanks Steve G

Mass update of Price on Sales Part record

Hello - we are on version 9, update 8 and would like to mass update the price & price incl tax fields on the sales part record. We did notice there is the ability to “Update base prices” & “Update unit based price lists” & “Update sales price lists from base prices”, but there does not seem to ability to update prices on sales parts. Has anyone else run into this and what was the solution? This seems like a common request that any company would like to do. Thanks!
