IFS FSM Mobile: Control the Checkbox on a List with Checkbox screen

Good Afternoon, We are using IFS FSM Mobile App, completely baseline, version 6u24. The screen in question is DebriefTaskSteps, which is set up as a “List with Checkbox” screen type. I noticed that on the DebriefTaskSteps screen, which shows a list of steps to be completed, the validations around “completing” a step are missing.    Example;  when you have a step that is set to “Signature Required”, in the DebriefTaskStep (not plural) screen, you cannot complete that Step unless you add the signature.    In the checklist screen (DebriefTaskSteps), you can simple check it, even without a signature, it allows you, no questions asked.   I am looking for a way to add conditions to the checkboxes on the List screen.  read-only until certain parameters are completed (attachments / notes / signatures)  invisible unti certain parameters are completed.if the above cannot be done;  can we somehow remove the checkbox on that screen altogether, forcing the tech to open the step detail (TaskDebriefS

Work Delegation / Auto Task Assignment without PSO

Good Afternoon,I am trying to gauge our opportunities for using automatic Task assignment through the Work Delegation capabilities. we are on FSM 6u6 / in progress of updating to 6u15. I have a decent understanding of How FSM does what FSM does.  Through the “WORK_DEL*” app params and using Business Process 04 (Work Assignment) My questionsI can get the system to auto-assign the nearest/available tech.. but I can’t seem to figure out how to define a Start/End datetime window in which to assign resources.  Does anyone use FSM Auto Work Assignments without PSO? FSM 6u6 - Survey functionality in Tech Portal webclient

Hi All,Are surveys supported in the FSM Tech Portal (through web Client)? I know Surveys are supported in Web Client (auth: fsm // TASK screen), but I am struggling with the functionality through Tech Portal.  (auth: tech // TECHPORTALTASK screen) When we add the survey tab to the TECHPORTALTASK screen the survey answers show up perfectly fine..  However, when pressing the “Surveys” button, we get no results for available surveys.  (screenshot below) The interest part is.  When I manually swap screens from “TECHPORTALTASK” to “TASK”, using the same portal, same credentials, same task, it DOES work starting URL: https://<our domain>/WebClientPortals/tab/screen/TECHPORTALTASK/5363538a-7a11-4761-bbef-f316101112ff?task.task_id=1986112new URL: https://<our domain>/WebClientPortals/tab/screen/TASK/8f72a86b-c1a2-419a-b86e-eb8d7d97f6a8?task.task_id=1986112 screenshot: I have attached the XML Export of our “TECHPORTALTASK” screen. any advise is welcome -Rudy

FSM 6 - Download multiple attachments efficiently

Hi all, I am wondering if anyone has worked out, or has knowledge of, a solution for a Smart or Web client (named) user to download multiple attachments with 1 click.     Our challenge is that a technician may upload upwards of 30 photos through the FSM Mobile App. In many cases our Request Owners or Project Managers end up downloading these photos, for delivery to clients, close notes, or other reasons..  and are spending too much time clicking each attachment. Is there a function that allows us to download all task-attachments or all request-attachments at once? I have noticed there is a perform_get_attachment and a plural, perform_get_attachments, MPM.    Which gives me hope that there is. Thank you in advanceRudy

FSM6 - Mass Insert from XML Hierarchy Select

Hi All,Does anyone have recommendations on how to mass-insert records from a XML Hierarchy select? Our goal is to automatically add “person_place - PORTAL_PLACE” records when a new place is created in FSM, based on the place’s global_name.     i.e.    new place (PlaceA) is added for global_name (Spencer)hierarchy select retrieves all person_id’s for people that have Portal_Place entries for “Spencer” Mass-insert inserts a new person_place record for “PlaceA” for the people identified in the Hierarchy Select. We tried with Mass_Update, which seems to be limited to “update” or “delete” only..  we can’t insert new entrieswe tried with Perform_batch, but the insert portion only applies to the 1st result of the hierarchy select (multiple results, always just 1 insert) sample of the perform batch: <perform_batch><hierarchy_select result_name="ppinsert"> <primary_table>person_place</primary_table> <from>person_place</from> <attrs> <attr>person_

FSM 6u6- asynchronous run timeout when processing (too) many units per detail row

Hi,We have been experiencing the following challenge in FSM 6u6, which is dating back to at least FSM 5.5.2. When posting a Shipment or Receipt where there are many unit rows per detail line, even the asynchronous process seems to time out.  Example picture below.the shipment record has 1 part need, requesting 1728 serialized items to shipthe shipment is generated with 1 shipment_detail row, containing 1728 shipment_unit rows  When posting this shipment; the system processes asynchronously.after approximately 5-minutes, the run log updates to “Complete with Errors”.  and performed a rollback because it was simply not able to process the quantity of units.   We know: If we break the units into multiple shipments. (<1000 per record)  we have no problem If the shipment had multiple shipment_detail lines, each with no more than ~1000 records, they would post…  even if takes much longer than 5 minutes, becuase the processing seems to time itself against individual shipment_detail lines,

FSM 6u6 - Customer Portal - Does it support hyperlinks to outside content?

Hi,We are looking for a way to give our customers access to user-specific URLS through the customer portal.  This could be for Project Plans, SmartSheets, Sharepoint sites, other file storage locations, reports, or other portals/incident systems. I’m aware that there are Link elements in the lobby, but since we can only associate 1 Lobby to the portal, which is used by many of our customers, all customers would see the same links.This could be solved through a data-source driven element, such as LIST elements, but they don’t support hyperlinks.         I’m very open for a Lobby solution, if one exists, to load custom hyperlinks unique to the person loggin in (or their portal access)  The workaround to not being able to use lobbies seems to be to build a custom workflow…   However; I’m running into a similar issues as with lobbies.I can get all the right data, including URLS, to display for the right people. I cannot figure out how to make a hyperlink so theURLs are functional, or beter

FSM 6u6 Customer Portal - Workflow & Lookup Questions

Hi All,Hoping at least one of you may have experienced these challenges in the past, and figured out how to overcome them :)  We’re trying to launch the new customer portal, but have the following challenges:  When launching the “REQUESTFLOW” process, which starts creating a new request, the “Place ID” always seems to default populate to whichever value is highest on the list of Access in the users profile ---  Is there a way for place_id to start blank/empty?   We’d are a B2B organization, where each Customer has access to hundreds of places, we want to force them to select the right one, without defaulting.  When loading any lookup, whether Placelookup or RequestTemplateLookup, or others, the default sort order seems to be on the key element. Can the sort order in a lookup popup be manipulated to any custom-sort, such as by place.name or request_template.name? Is there any support for Searching or Filtering within a lookup? a list of 500-5000 locations is hard to browse through witho

FSM: How do you carry information from line above in list-view?

All, How can you configure which information should carry over/come down from the list-view item above the one you are newly creating?  Example: When you create a new part need on a Request, the “line Code”, “place_id_from” and “location_from” are carried over from whatever part-need precedes the one you just created. (yellow fields came from line above it)On the Request template screen, it does not carry over the same fields. Generating a new Part Need (req_template_part_need) does not copy the Part Line Code from above, similar to how Request operates.How is this configured?    Where can we define what fields need to come over, and which don’t when a new line is created in a list view. Thank you in advance. Sincerely,-Rudy

FSM 6 - Mapped Import with Descriptions vs. Code Values

Hi all, in FSM 6.5 Has anyone figured out how to create Import Maps for (Global/Metrix) Code Table controlled fields, where the user can import the description vs. the code_value?  We are facing constant issues with users either not understanding that Code Values are needed, or simply not having access to the specific Code Values.    We’ve previously compensated by creating Excel Import map templates, with dropdowns, but keeping those up-to-date with all the global code table values & descriptions is a large effort.   Appreciate allfeedback -Rudy

FSM 5.6.3 - Integration Message Routing - Http Header value interupted at colon (:) within value

FSM Mobile Question; Where are Custom Fields defined?

Hi All,   In the FSM Mobile Application there are baseline CUSTOM fields, as well as the ability to create CUSTOM fields for any screen.   Some of the existing Custom fields are;  CUSTOM.FULL_NAME DebriefOverview Screen  CUSTOM.FORMATTED_TIME JobList Screen Displays a concatenated view of task.plan_start_dttm and task.plan_end_dttm CUSTOM.FULL_ADDRESS JobList Screen Displays a concatenated view of address, city, state, zip etc. There is the capability to add Custom Fields, which you then have the ability to configure limitedly.   My question;   It seems that all allowed configuration through designer is limited to the source and description, as present in the mm_field  table.       Nowhere in the mm_field table, or any other mm_field_** tables, can I figure out where the real source of these custom fields is defined.   Ref guide seems limited to the statement “If the field you want to add is not bound to a specific table and column, select Custom Field”   Where, if at all, in the da
