Hoping at least one of you may have experienced these challenges in the past, and figured out how to overcome them :) 

 

We’re trying to launch the new customer portal, but have the following challenges: 

 

  1. When launching the “REQUESTFLOW” process, which starts creating a new request, the “Place ID” always seems to default populate to whichever value is highest on the list of Access in the users profile ---  Is there a way for place_id to start blank/empty?   We’d are a B2B organization, where each Customer has access to hundreds of places, we want to force them to select the right one, without defaulting. 
  2. When loading any lookup, whether Placelookup or RequestTemplateLookup, or others, the default sort order seems to be on the key element. Can the sort order in a lookup popup be manipulated to any custom-sort, such as by place.name or request_template.name?
  3. Is there any support for Searching or Filtering within a lookup? a list of 500-5000 locations is hard to browse through without abilities to search/filter.

The customer portal is somewhat limited in what it can achieve so I do not believe your points are possible there.

The technical portal allows for more customisation. Is it possible to use that but restricted down as to what can be viewed and amended to what is acceptable for a customer? That would then allow you to use the greater flexibility of the tech portal.
