New Customer, currently going live in January 2023We are on 22R1SU5, and we frequently get many server errors when navigating pages - sometimes these go away when hitting refresh / reload, but occasionally these persist. A user this morning was going into “Supplier Invoices for Final Posting Analysis” and was repeatedly getting the server error: Error while serializing contents. This error happens when the server cannot serialize the data to be sent to the client.A common cause is that one attribute's length exceeds the defined maxlength in the projection. To find more info, open Log Window or Debug Console, refresh and then check Network Tab in DevTools. In the response there can be more detailed information about the exception. On Inventory Part I have this recurring issue where I add “Inventory Part” to the search options, and it persists while by browser window is open, but whenever do a full reset / refresh it goes away Is there an additional step that I need to take to persist this or is this a bug? I tried resetting the fields, and then it was site, inventory part, Accounting Group. I added inventory part description and then on reload inventory part was missing again
for our manufactured parts - wondering if there is a solution or what have others done to calculate net weight on parts. We need to calculate this information for Bill of Lading / shippingthese parts have product structures and all of the components have a net weight - seems like a straightforward operation
Curious why IFS limits characters here? I get a 15-18 character limit for the actual / final value (in this case would be 36, but it’s a bit limiting to have a feature that allows for in-place arithmetic but with short limits into the actual text box (25-50 would be more appropriate). A use case would be a calculation like 120000.37 + 12111.75 → which is not allowed because of the current character limit. this particular place is in the manual voucher entry page but we can see this occur in other places as well.
In our IFS installation, we have a single operating company that manages three legacy GS1 company prefixes for our product GTIN’s and some limited use of SSCC-18 codes. Based on the company metadata setup, it appears that IFS enforces a single global GS1 prefix for the entire company Is it possible to support multiple SSCC prefixes in a single organization? i.e. can we set up handling units to use any one of our three GS1 prefixes? Ideally it would be useful to allow for differences by site
